4. No Reason

"Lester! Are you really going ?!"

A beautiful woman with long wavy hair looked at Lester with a questioning gaze. She rubbed hers sweaty forehead lightly with the back of hers hand.

"You ran here?" asked Lester, frowning. He stared straight at the woman who was now catching her breath.

Meanwhile, the woman in front of Lester snorted in annoyance.

"I was asking you, are you going now? Then, how about—,"

"—that's nothing for you to worry about." The man cut off the words of the woman in front of him expressionlessly. His sharp eyes cannot be separated from the woman.

"You better not bother too much thinking about what I'm going to do. Go back to university! Don't do this again or I'll confiscate all your favorite things." Lester said again seriously.

The woman who was as high as Lester's chest puffed out her cheeks in disgust.

"You can't do it!" She screamed irritably. Made the man in front of her let out a low snort.

"You will know the consequences if you violate what I say." Lester said one last time before then the man resumed his delayed footsteps. Leaving the woman who was now staring at him with gleaming sharp eyes.

"I'll make some calculations with you if you dare!" For the umpteenth time, the woman screamed again in annoyance.

Meanwhile, Mark who was still there could only smile wryly.

"Miss, you better just follow what the boss said." Mark tries to find a middle ground, tries to advise the woman who is Lester's younger sister.

This is not the first time Mark has seen the feud between Lester and Audrey. They are almost the same in character, stubborn and do things as they see fit.

Sometimes, Mark could only lightly rub his chest when he saw they were fighting. He himself also sometimes intervenes if the two of them continue to insist on their own opinions without finding the end of the conversation.

Audrey rolled her beautiful eyes lazily. She chuckled softly as she turned hers face towards Mark.

"You better watch Lester so he doesn't do anything to the company!"

After saying that, Audrey then left Mark, who was now nodding obediently to Lester's younger sister.

"Omg ... can I complain now?" Mark said to himself when he saw that Audrey had disappeared behind the elevator which was now going down.

Mark sighed softly. Lester's personal assistant then caught up with his boss, who was now invisible.

"Has she left?" Lester asked Mark who had just sat himself down. The CEO of the Hyden company looked busy flipping through the menu book in his hand.

Mark nodded slowly as he said. "Yes, boss. Miss Audrey is back at her university. And as usual, she left without the need for bodyguards with her."

Lester snorted softly. "Overconfident woman." He whispered softly.

Mark smiled faintly. Even though his boss looks really tough and fierce at Audrey, Mark actually knows that Lester really loves her. The man's affection for Audrey may not be put into words. However, Lester's actions and all the things he did for Audrey were clear enough that he was always keeping Audrey full.

Ten minutes later, the food they ordered had arrived, and they both enjoyed it quietly.

"This time, why did she come?" asked Stev between meals. The same bright blue-eyed man as Audrey glanced at Mark.

His personal assistant shook his head softly in response.

"I don't know, boss. Could it be that Miss Audrey doesn't want to be left?"

Lester rolled his eyes slowly. "Impossible. That woman even went to Chinese for two years without someone accompanying her." Lester replied coolly. The handsome man went back to eating. Still not confused with Audrey who always came to the company for no apparent reason.

"I can't think of anything else, boss. Miss Audrey wouldn't have come to the company to see one of the handsome employees over there." Mark replied, to which Lester replied with an unusual look.

Realizing what he had just said, Mark could now only keep quiet without daring to look at his boss.

Lester sighed softly, the man then picked up his drinking glass and leaned his back against the chair with many thoughts running through his head.

"If I go later, tell Audrey to bring her friend over to the house," said Lester after a moment of silence. The man emphasized the word 'friend', and Mark had a good idea of ​​what Lester meant. Of course he would suffer the consequences if he let Audrey's male friend enter Lester's house. 

Mark knew he wouldn't be able to live long if that did happen.

"Yes, boss. I'll do it." Mark replied. "But what is your flight related to this time, boss? Do you have an appointment to meet someone?" asked Mark then. To his surprise, he didn't know where Lester was going. Previously, his boss had only left on business and he must have found out because he had arranged Lester's schedule.

Mark couldn't be more curious when he saw Lester smile slightly at him.

"I have an appointment with my future wife." Lester replied, which immediately made Mark pop his eyes almost out of the way.

"Future wife?!"
