Only She Could Make Him Feel Helpless
Crista looked at William and then, at Carla. She wondered if something happened between them while she was away.
'Why is he so indifferent to Carla? Carla has only come here to pay me a visit, right?'
"Miss Carla, please have a seat. I'm fine... It's nothing serious." Crista didn't like the way William treated her.
Carla nodded awkwardly and said, "Really? That's a relief because I saw the car outside the club, and it was completely wrecked. Now that I know you're okay, I think I should leave."
Carla knew that she was humiliating herself. She thought that if she left on her own, then William would change his attitude towards her. She expected that he would be different, or at least, greet her when they met.
However, William was not even willing to tell her that he was going to the club anymore. She had to learn that from someone else. He had completely kicked her out of his life.
You Are The Only One In My Heart When Crista woke up, she found out that William was gone. She figured that he must have gone to the company as it was almost nine o' clock. She was quite famished after waking up. She sat on the bed and looked around the empty room. After knocking on the door, Chloe walked in with a food container in her hand. "Are you okay, Chica? How are you feeling?" Chloe sat down in the chair next to the bed and looked at the bandage on Crista's forehead. "I'm fine. I just feel a little dizzy," Crista replied with a faint smile. "I figured that you would not have had breakfast, so I made some porridge for you. Here, have some." Chloe had actually been really worried about Crista, so she rushed to the hospital as soon as she received the call from William. William had actually called her to talk about the dresses that were at the factory, but she insisted that she saw Crista first. Crista at
Shackle Him With Marriage Sally's voice stunned Tristan and Crista, especially the latter. Her face turned white as a sheet, and she sat there, petrified in the spot. She never wanted to cause a misunderstanding. However, Sally unexpectedly showed up at this critical moment, which put Crista in a predicament. Neither Tristan nor Crista expected Sally would appear. Tristan had been staying with Sally in her ward all day long when she suddenly drove him out, saying that she did not want to see him. Because of this, he decided to come to see Crista. Little did he know, Sally followed him. Truth be told, she knew that she had hit someone in the car accident, but she did not expect it to be Crista. God must have been playing tricks with them. Sally must admit, the reason she kicked Tristan out was because she wanted to know who was really in his heart. Her best friend, who happened to be in the club yesterday, told Sally tha
You Will Have Nothing Without Me Crista's eyes opened to the sound of flipping pages. She blinked, searching through her sleep-dazed mind, and trying to remember what had happened. She let her gaze travel the interior of the room until it finally came to a stop at William, who was leaning against the bed and holding a project plan. Crista saw a slow frown creasing his forehead as he was immersed in his documents. By the time he had turned another page, a glower of dissatisfaction had already settled on his face. She watched him quietly for a moment and did not want to disturb him. Badly for Crista, her already painful body was screaming protest at the new abuse of staying too still. She shifted a little, but a sharp sting swept through her head, and she made a low noise full of pain. Hearing her groan, William immediately put down the folder in his hands and bent over to look at her. In a soft and gentle voice, he asked, "What’s wrong? Does it hurt?" Crista was caught off guard b
I Want To End Our Marriage Tristan stood in the ward as he watched Sally shouting hysterically. He let her vent her anger. However, he didn't want to be married to her any longer as a marriage without love was not a marriage at all. He had made the wrong choice once, but now he did not want to stay trapped in their marriage anymore, because it was a mistake to begin with. Maris spent a lot of energy trying to console her daughter. "Sally, let's discuss this once you've recovered, okay? Listen to me, I won't let that bitch live in peace. I am going to help you get revenge on her." Sally was so weak that she slumped to the couch in a daze. Her face was as pale as a sheet of paper and she looked as though she would pass out any minute. Looking at her, Tristan was having mixed feelings. When he had first met her, she was a lively and lovely young woman. She was neither overbearing nor pretentious, but now, she was being shrewd and
She Tried Her Best To Drive Him Away William had been staying in the ward for two days now. Enzo brought them food every day. Suddenly, William's phone rang, so he got up from the sofa and walked out of the ward. Enzo was in the ward, neatly arranging the dishes on the table. It was obvious that the food he had brought was cooked by a star chef. Crista got out of bed and asked, "Well, Mr. Ying, hasn't Mr. Ding had any social gatherings lately?" She wanted to get some information from him. Enzo didn't understand why Crista was suddenly interested in William's social life, but he said, "Mr. Ding has a banquet to attend tomorrow evening." "Tomorrow evening?" Crista was disappointed. Was he really going to stay there until the next day evening? She didn't hate him being with her. After all, she was able to sleep better in his arms. Even though it was a bit uncomfortable at first, she quickly got used to it. But the
End The Mistake William looked at Crista, trying to decipher her words. "Why would you say that? Do you feel lucky for surviving the car accident?" Somehow, William felt heavy hearted with what she said. Crista had suffered repeatedly, and he had saved her time and time again. William swore in his life that this woman would never have the chance to leave without his permission. She had her fair share of tragedies already in this lifetime, and he did not want her to experience more. "Of course, I am extremely fortunate to have survived so many accidents. But don't worry, I’m not that easy to get rid of." Crista's courage had suddenly failed her. Her voice faltered, no longer confident. "Really? Is it because you haven't taken your revenge on me yet? Do you still hate me?" William knew her train of thoughts all too well. He understood that some things were severely ingrained and unchanging no matter how long had passed.
She Shouldn't Get Involved Crista shook her head. "Tristan, don't you understand? We can't keep living in the past, and we have no future together." She spoke clearly as she looked at him. The past could not be changed, but she did not want that to influence her present or her future. "But why?” Tristan looked at Crista, the woman he was in love with. He would do anything for her, but sadly, she did not want him. "Tristan, even if William was not with me right now, I would still not want to be with you. We don't have a future together. You already have Sally, so don't let her down, okay? There are some things that you just cannot get back after you've lost it..." Crista hoped that Toby would cherish the happiness that he still had in his life. Perhaps he got his happiness by chance, and perhaps, he never really wanted it. But at least now he should know who would be with him till the end. "You are my happiness
Irreparable Harm Noticing the hesitant look in Crista's eyes, William stretched out his hand and said, "Give it to me." She looked at him in confusion. 'What does he mean?' she wondered. "The key," William shouted. He was furious when he saw that she was trying to play innocent. Was she really going to live with Tristan? 'What a stupid woman!' Crista was stunned. "This is mine. I can't give it to you." She did not want to give it to him because she wanted to see the villa once. The villa was not for sale in the past. But Tristan told her that he had bought it. Even though it was no longer her home, she still had feelings for the place. She only wanted to see the house once. She hated Bert and felt that he did not deserve to be her father, but then, he was the one who raised her. "Crista!" William thought that she was thinking about living with Tristan. 'Does she really hate living with me that much?’
You Are Not The Baby's Father Lewis sighed as he made Crista sit down on the sofa. "Will you feel bored staying at home?" Looking at him, Crista hesitated for a while before she shook her head. "Aren't you afraid that I might run away?" "Yes, I am." Lewis looked at her. He was obviously anxious. The only thing that scared him was Crista leaving him. "Then I won’t go out. I am afraid that I won't be able to control myself." Even though Crista knew that William had died, she still wanted to see him. She loved him so much, but she could not even see him one last time. "He is dead. Why are you so stubborn? Even if you did go back, what can you do now?” Lewis wondered why she was being so stubborn about returning to William. Did it mean that he would never get her love even though William had died? Would she never show him any mercy at all? "Then why do you have to do that? You can just leave me alone." Crista didn't want him to interfere her affair! He had lied to her many times n
There Was Still No News About Her Lewis walked over to Crista and saw her in a daze. "What's wrong, Chica? Do you feel sick?" Her face had turned paler, which worried him. Looking at him, Crista remained silent. She didn't stop him when he put his coat on her shoulder and helped her sit on the bed. "If you don't feel good, then you'd better take rest. Don't you remember that the doctor asked you to rest in bed for the first three months?" Lewis felt like he was talking to himself. Was she even listening to him? Crista reached out and touched her belly. Only when she felt the child in her belly would she feel relieved. Leaning against the bed, Crista took a glance at the newspaper that was on the bedside table. She had not thrown it away yet. Perhaps she was using it to remind herself that she should not forget William. Lewis sat next to her and talked to her, but Crista ignored him and fell asleep. A bitter smile appeared on Lewis' lips. He could talk for hours, but she would sti
Will You Be With Me Then, Lewis made Crista sit up and lean against a cushion. "Have some congee first, Chica. You haven't eaten properly for a few days. Or do you want to eat something else? I can ask Sara to make it for you." Crista had no appetite for the food in front of her, but still, she slowly ate as Lewis fed her until the congee was finished. "Chica, you need to take good care of yourself. You need to start eating well because your baby needs the nutrition." Lewis wiped her mouth with a tissue. "My baby," Crista murmured. "I still have a baby." "Yes, Chica. You still have your baby. That’s why you have to take good care of yourself so you won’t hurt your child." Lewis looked at her. Perhaps the thought of her child could snap her out of her lethargy and give her a reason to move on. "My baby, what are we going to do? It’s all my fault that you will never see your daddy. It’s all Mommy's fault, "Crist
He Died To Save Her Crista shook her head. "No way! I want William. He is the father of my child, and he has a right to know about it." Why should she be with Lewis? It was obvious that she resented him. 'What does he mean? And why did he say that he can be with me now that William is not around anymore? William told me that he will be there for me, and that I should wait for him!' Crista remembered it so clearly that it was simply impossible for her to forget his promise to her. "It is true that he has a right to know about your child, but it is too late for that now," Lewis said, looking at her, but in his heart, he was afraid that she might become hysterical and fall unconscious. "What do you mean by too late? What is that supposed to mean, Lewis? What happened to William? I want to see him... No, I need to see him right now!" After saying that, Crista rushed to the middle of the road, and stopped a car th
Let Me Love You In the end, Lewis chose to take Crista away. He went back to the ward, and looked at her. The doctor who followed him in gave her an injection. "Mr. Lui, if you still insist on taking Miss Jin away, then I'll have to finish the paperwork for you so that you will be able to go through the discharge formalities,” the doctor said to Lewis. Money had the power to do anything, so Lewis bribed the doctor to give some tranquilizer for Crista, so that he could take her away from there while she was still asleep. Gian soon arrived at the hospital. "Mr. Lui, everything is done." Lewis nodded and handed him a prescription. "Go through the discharge formalities for Crista first, and once you're done with that, you can go to the pharmacy and get her medicines. I will be taking her downstairs now." After Gia left the ward, Lewis changed Crista's clothes, put his coat on her, picked her up in his arms, and left the h
Escape In The Middle Of The Night If she had shielded William from the bullet, he would have been fine. Crista had done that three years ago, and she survived, so there was a high chance she would be all right again. It was a gamble, yes, but she was willing to take that risk. He should not have pushed her away. She did not need his protection! She now understood William's obsession with keeping her safe. But it was way too late, and she was tethering on the brink of losing her mind. Lewis looked at her, his brows furrowed in jealousy. "You will sacrifice your life for him? If I was the one on the receiving end of that bullet, would you do the same for me?" Crista kept mum, curling up into a ball, her mind tormented. She did not know if she would feel the same for Lewis. All she cared about was how she did not want to see William harmed. Maybe she would save Lewis, or maybe not. The thing was, she had not cont
Want To See Him Lewis held her in his arms as he still could not let her go- Crista had lost a lot of blood and had no strength left in her to struggle. She could only watch as Martin and his men helped William up. "Let go of me, Lewis! I want to be with him. I want to be with him!" Crista was scared. No one could tell what would happen to William as he had gotten shot in his chest. However, she hoped that he would be fine, and wanted to be by his side. William tried his best to stand up and said, "Chica, wait for me!" No matter how strong he was, he still could not help but faint. Martin shouted his name a few times before he looked at Crista and carried William out of there. He didn't take Crista with him because he could not afford to waste time now. If they continued to deal with Lewis, then William was going to die. Holding Crista in his arms, Lewis walked step by step towards Anpu, who was lying
It's Either Your Life Or Crista's When he heard Lewis mention Crista, William's expression darkened. "You kidnapped Chica, didn't you? What did you do to her?" "What I did to her? What do you think I did to her? I can do the same things that you did to her, right? Don't forget that I am a man, too, just like you!" Lewis said with a smug smile. 'What do I want to do to Crista?' Of course, Lewis wanted her, but she did not want him. She would not even let him touch her. She had struggled and resisted him for a long time now. But for William, she became pregnant. She was doing everything for William, but not for Lewis. She didn't care how deep his love was. She would rather hurt him than compromise. "As long as you promise to let Chica go, I'll do whatever you ask me to do," William said. He had made up his mind to do anything and to give up anything for the sake of her safety. "Are you sure that you are willing to do an
What On Earth Did He Want To Do With Her Lewis bent over and planted a kiss on Crista's lips. He had never kissed her long enough or often enough to his liking. It must be his lucky day! He cupped his hand behind her head, holding it steady as he explored her mouth deeper. Crista writhed to get away, very much on the defensive. The more she floundered wildly, the more the ropes scraped away under her skin. There was no chance to avoid his kiss! Desperately, Crista bit down on his lips until her mouth filled with the metallic tang of blood. She bit and kicked, trying to shake off the strong hand that held her fast, but Lewis persisted, tasting her until she almost suffocated beneath him. "Do you want William to know we kissed?" Lewis smirked as he wiped the blood off his lip. He lifted a hand and signaled to Anpu’s men to leave them alone. "What on earth do you want to do with me?” Crista heaved and panted, the struggl
