She Tried Her Best To Drive Him Away
William had been staying in the ward for two days now. Enzo brought them food every day.
Suddenly, William's phone rang, so he got up from the sofa and walked out of the ward. Enzo was in the ward, neatly arranging the dishes on the table. It was obvious that the food he had brought was cooked by a star chef.
Crista got out of bed and asked, "Well, Mr. Ying, hasn't Mr. Ding had any social gatherings lately?" She wanted to get some information from him.
Enzo didn't understand why Crista was suddenly interested in William's social life, but he said, "Mr. Ding has a banquet to attend tomorrow evening."
"Tomorrow evening?" Crista was disappointed. Was he really going to stay there until the next day evening?
She didn't hate him being with her. After all, she was able to sleep better in his arms. Even though it was a bit uncomfortable at first, she quickly got used to it.
But the
End The Mistake William looked at Crista, trying to decipher her words. "Why would you say that? Do you feel lucky for surviving the car accident?" Somehow, William felt heavy hearted with what she said. Crista had suffered repeatedly, and he had saved her time and time again. William swore in his life that this woman would never have the chance to leave without his permission. She had her fair share of tragedies already in this lifetime, and he did not want her to experience more. "Of course, I am extremely fortunate to have survived so many accidents. But don't worry, I’m not that easy to get rid of." Crista's courage had suddenly failed her. Her voice faltered, no longer confident. "Really? Is it because you haven't taken your revenge on me yet? Do you still hate me?" William knew her train of thoughts all too well. He understood that some things were severely ingrained and unchanging no matter how long had passed.
She Shouldn't Get Involved Crista shook her head. "Tristan, don't you understand? We can't keep living in the past, and we have no future together." She spoke clearly as she looked at him. The past could not be changed, but she did not want that to influence her present or her future. "But why?” Tristan looked at Crista, the woman he was in love with. He would do anything for her, but sadly, she did not want him. "Tristan, even if William was not with me right now, I would still not want to be with you. We don't have a future together. You already have Sally, so don't let her down, okay? There are some things that you just cannot get back after you've lost it..." Crista hoped that Toby would cherish the happiness that he still had in his life. Perhaps he got his happiness by chance, and perhaps, he never really wanted it. But at least now he should know who would be with him till the end. "You are my happiness
Irreparable Harm Noticing the hesitant look in Crista's eyes, William stretched out his hand and said, "Give it to me." She looked at him in confusion. 'What does he mean?' she wondered. "The key," William shouted. He was furious when he saw that she was trying to play innocent. Was she really going to live with Tristan? 'What a stupid woman!' Crista was stunned. "This is mine. I can't give it to you." She did not want to give it to him because she wanted to see the villa once. The villa was not for sale in the past. But Tristan told her that he had bought it. Even though it was no longer her home, she still had feelings for the place. She only wanted to see the house once. She hated Bert and felt that he did not deserve to be her father, but then, he was the one who raised her. "Crista!" William thought that she was thinking about living with Tristan. 'Does she really hate living with me that much?’
Say Something Enzo was standing next to Crista but did not say anything. It was only until the elevator doors opened that he spoke to her. "Miss Jin, the elevator has opened." Crista returned to her senses at once and nodded at him in response. "Thank you." She was still weak because of what had happened lately. Even now, she felt like she was going to collapse at any moment. Enzo smiled at her and replied, "You don't have to be polite to me, Miss Jin. Also, I think that a person can't always blame others for everything that is happening to them. Sadly, the only thing they can do is endure it in the end." He was telling Crista that no matter what the repercussions Sally had to go through, it had nothing to do with Crista. As the saying went, "Love cannot be forced." Regardless of what Sally would do, everything would eventually fall into place, even if she did not want it to. Sally was insisting on holding on to somet
Mr. Ying's Protection Upon hearing William's teasing tone, Crista raised her eyebrows. 'Miss him? In his dreams, maybe!' "I just wanted to say thank you.” Crista thought that he must be busy, but then, he sounded as though he was free to talk to her. "That's all?" A hint of disappointment flashed in William's eyes. "What did you expect?" Crista was too stubborn to tell him that she missed him. At least, she would not give in and admit it before he did. She was grateful for everything that William had done for her, but that did not mean that she had to shower him with love. "Have they discharged you from the hospital?" William didn't want to talk about the same thing over and over again. He felt that she kept her feelings hidden and that she never really expressed her thoughts. Even after everything that he had done for her, the most she would do for him was to thank him with a smile, but he did not want to force her. C
Hidden Talent Crista's words had pierced through Nimpha's weakness. Her expression changed instantly as she had only come there to upset Crista, and she did not expect the tables to be turned. "Do you think Mr. Ding loves you? Well, I must admit that you really are something. You even drove Carla out of the company. Are you planning on taking her position so that you can do as you pleased in the company? Are you also planning to kick me out of Ding Group?" Except for Crista, everyone in the company knew that Carla had left, and Nimpha wanted to use it to taunt her. Hearing that, Crista was shocked. 'Did Carla really leave the company? Why didn't anyone tell me about it? It seems like everyone knows about it except for me...' "Don't tell me you didn't know about it, and drop the act." Nimpha turned around and sat down at her desk. 'Carla has left the company. Where is she now?' Crista was still lost in her thought. It
Her Uncontrollable Heart "Have a seat," Carla said, looking at Crista. Although Enzo had not told her who was coming to see her, she had guessed that it was Crista. When she had gone to the hospital to visit Crista, William's attitude towards her had confused Crista. Crista didn't hate Carla, but Carla knew that William had distanced himself from her because he loved Crista. "Miss Carla, excessive drinking isn't good for your health." Crista sat on the sofa, not too close or far away from her. "Well, no one cares about me, so it doesn't matter if I'm in good health or not." Carla was giving up on herself. And it was because William, the man whom she loved did not want her anymore. With that, she drank all the wine that was in the glass in one gulp. Crista took the glass from her hand and said, "Stop it! Don't do this to yourself." She could understand the bitterness in Carla's heart. It was not her fault that she fell in love
What A Stingy ManWhen Crista returned to her apartment, it was already late. She was surprised to hear that Enzo was living in the apartment opposite to hers, where a middle-aged couple used to live. It was obvious that he had paid a lot for the place, whether he had rented it or bought the place. She felt tired and slumped to the sofa after a tiring day at work. All of a sudden, her phone rang. Without even looking at the number, she could tell that it was William. However, she had thought that he would not take the initiative to call her."Hello," Crista said over the phone. She figured that Enzo must have told him that she was home, or else he would not have called her soon after she entered the house. 'If he just wants to make sure that I am home safe, he could have asked Enzo.'"Where have you been today?" William had asked Enzo, but since he had not told him anything, he called Crista."Didn't Mr. Ying tell you?” Crista asked. "I thought he told you everything." She had not hid
You Are Not The Baby's Father Lewis sighed as he made Crista sit down on the sofa. "Will you feel bored staying at home?" Looking at him, Crista hesitated for a while before she shook her head. "Aren't you afraid that I might run away?" "Yes, I am." Lewis looked at her. He was obviously anxious. The only thing that scared him was Crista leaving him. "Then I won’t go out. I am afraid that I won't be able to control myself." Even though Crista knew that William had died, she still wanted to see him. She loved him so much, but she could not even see him one last time. "He is dead. Why are you so stubborn? Even if you did go back, what can you do now?” Lewis wondered why she was being so stubborn about returning to William. Did it mean that he would never get her love even though William had died? Would she never show him any mercy at all? "Then why do you have to do that? You can just leave me alone." Crista didn't want him to interfere her affair! He had lied to her many times n
There Was Still No News About Her Lewis walked over to Crista and saw her in a daze. "What's wrong, Chica? Do you feel sick?" Her face had turned paler, which worried him. Looking at him, Crista remained silent. She didn't stop him when he put his coat on her shoulder and helped her sit on the bed. "If you don't feel good, then you'd better take rest. Don't you remember that the doctor asked you to rest in bed for the first three months?" Lewis felt like he was talking to himself. Was she even listening to him? Crista reached out and touched her belly. Only when she felt the child in her belly would she feel relieved. Leaning against the bed, Crista took a glance at the newspaper that was on the bedside table. She had not thrown it away yet. Perhaps she was using it to remind herself that she should not forget William. Lewis sat next to her and talked to her, but Crista ignored him and fell asleep. A bitter smile appeared on Lewis' lips. He could talk for hours, but she would sti
Will You Be With Me Then, Lewis made Crista sit up and lean against a cushion. "Have some congee first, Chica. You haven't eaten properly for a few days. Or do you want to eat something else? I can ask Sara to make it for you." Crista had no appetite for the food in front of her, but still, she slowly ate as Lewis fed her until the congee was finished. "Chica, you need to take good care of yourself. You need to start eating well because your baby needs the nutrition." Lewis wiped her mouth with a tissue. "My baby," Crista murmured. "I still have a baby." "Yes, Chica. You still have your baby. That’s why you have to take good care of yourself so you won’t hurt your child." Lewis looked at her. Perhaps the thought of her child could snap her out of her lethargy and give her a reason to move on. "My baby, what are we going to do? It’s all my fault that you will never see your daddy. It’s all Mommy's fault, "Crist
He Died To Save Her Crista shook her head. "No way! I want William. He is the father of my child, and he has a right to know about it." Why should she be with Lewis? It was obvious that she resented him. 'What does he mean? And why did he say that he can be with me now that William is not around anymore? William told me that he will be there for me, and that I should wait for him!' Crista remembered it so clearly that it was simply impossible for her to forget his promise to her. "It is true that he has a right to know about your child, but it is too late for that now," Lewis said, looking at her, but in his heart, he was afraid that she might become hysterical and fall unconscious. "What do you mean by too late? What is that supposed to mean, Lewis? What happened to William? I want to see him... No, I need to see him right now!" After saying that, Crista rushed to the middle of the road, and stopped a car th
Let Me Love You In the end, Lewis chose to take Crista away. He went back to the ward, and looked at her. The doctor who followed him in gave her an injection. "Mr. Lui, if you still insist on taking Miss Jin away, then I'll have to finish the paperwork for you so that you will be able to go through the discharge formalities,” the doctor said to Lewis. Money had the power to do anything, so Lewis bribed the doctor to give some tranquilizer for Crista, so that he could take her away from there while she was still asleep. Gian soon arrived at the hospital. "Mr. Lui, everything is done." Lewis nodded and handed him a prescription. "Go through the discharge formalities for Crista first, and once you're done with that, you can go to the pharmacy and get her medicines. I will be taking her downstairs now." After Gia left the ward, Lewis changed Crista's clothes, put his coat on her, picked her up in his arms, and left the h
Escape In The Middle Of The Night If she had shielded William from the bullet, he would have been fine. Crista had done that three years ago, and she survived, so there was a high chance she would be all right again. It was a gamble, yes, but she was willing to take that risk. He should not have pushed her away. She did not need his protection! She now understood William's obsession with keeping her safe. But it was way too late, and she was tethering on the brink of losing her mind. Lewis looked at her, his brows furrowed in jealousy. "You will sacrifice your life for him? If I was the one on the receiving end of that bullet, would you do the same for me?" Crista kept mum, curling up into a ball, her mind tormented. She did not know if she would feel the same for Lewis. All she cared about was how she did not want to see William harmed. Maybe she would save Lewis, or maybe not. The thing was, she had not cont
Want To See Him Lewis held her in his arms as he still could not let her go- Crista had lost a lot of blood and had no strength left in her to struggle. She could only watch as Martin and his men helped William up. "Let go of me, Lewis! I want to be with him. I want to be with him!" Crista was scared. No one could tell what would happen to William as he had gotten shot in his chest. However, she hoped that he would be fine, and wanted to be by his side. William tried his best to stand up and said, "Chica, wait for me!" No matter how strong he was, he still could not help but faint. Martin shouted his name a few times before he looked at Crista and carried William out of there. He didn't take Crista with him because he could not afford to waste time now. If they continued to deal with Lewis, then William was going to die. Holding Crista in his arms, Lewis walked step by step towards Anpu, who was lying
It's Either Your Life Or Crista's When he heard Lewis mention Crista, William's expression darkened. "You kidnapped Chica, didn't you? What did you do to her?" "What I did to her? What do you think I did to her? I can do the same things that you did to her, right? Don't forget that I am a man, too, just like you!" Lewis said with a smug smile. 'What do I want to do to Crista?' Of course, Lewis wanted her, but she did not want him. She would not even let him touch her. She had struggled and resisted him for a long time now. But for William, she became pregnant. She was doing everything for William, but not for Lewis. She didn't care how deep his love was. She would rather hurt him than compromise. "As long as you promise to let Chica go, I'll do whatever you ask me to do," William said. He had made up his mind to do anything and to give up anything for the sake of her safety. "Are you sure that you are willing to do an
What On Earth Did He Want To Do With Her Lewis bent over and planted a kiss on Crista's lips. He had never kissed her long enough or often enough to his liking. It must be his lucky day! He cupped his hand behind her head, holding it steady as he explored her mouth deeper. Crista writhed to get away, very much on the defensive. The more she floundered wildly, the more the ropes scraped away under her skin. There was no chance to avoid his kiss! Desperately, Crista bit down on his lips until her mouth filled with the metallic tang of blood. She bit and kicked, trying to shake off the strong hand that held her fast, but Lewis persisted, tasting her until she almost suffocated beneath him. "Do you want William to know we kissed?" Lewis smirked as he wiped the blood off his lip. He lifted a hand and signaled to Anpu’s men to leave them alone. "What on earth do you want to do with me?” Crista heaved and panted, the struggl
