Chapter 4: Ours

Staring down at her beautiful face, I am taking in all her features while Max’s men remove all the women from the room. Here lying in my lap is my mate. The person I have waited thousands of years for, finally found and in my arms. Her long dark mahogany hair has streaks of rich dark reds, a spectrum of light to dark browns, and several platinum blonde strands artistically woven in.

Her skin is olive toned with slight hints of pink in her face. She is curvy and has the most delicious looking breasts that I have ever seen. They are definitely a size D; I want so badly to bite and suck on them; fuck I feel like a perv right now. A scar runs from her collarbone down her cleavage line, which I want to follow with my fingertips until I touch her sweet flower. The memory of her heart surgery as a small child pulls up in my head.

She has a little mom tummy and sexy legs. She is short, probably 5’4”. Her eyes are almond shaped, and her lips are a soft kissable light red with a plumpness I can imagine enjoying for the rest of my life. I pull her up further up my lap, and shift her body on me, so that her head rests gently on my shoulder. Her full ass is resting on my lap, and my dick is twitching just thinking of how great her ass feels resting against it.

Max and Damen walk up to us on the sofa. Max lifts her feet gently, sits down, and places them on his lap. Damen sits across from us. Time is standing completely still right now, and if there is a heaven for supernatural beings, this is mine. My most beautiful mate.

[Damen POV]

“She is mind-blowingly beautiful! What in the hell happened back there, and why could I see all her memories,” I asked Sam? “I really don’t have an answer for us. I have never heard of mates having that type of psychic experience before being marked and mated,” Sam said while looking deep in thought while he gently stroked her hair.

Retreating to my mind, I think, I am the son of the ruler of the Netherworld, Prince, and Lord of the demon realm, and I have never known of such a strong first meet or interaction with mates, where a d******d of memories has ever occurred. I will have to ask my father about this. To be mated to all three of us; having so many mates is rare and unheard of with a human. There must be something more to her and our bond.

“How did she endure so much?” Max asked Sam and me. “I am just as furious,” I said while looking at her peacefully resting face on Sam’s shoulder. “There is something so different about her. She smells and looks human, and her heartbeat sounds human, just slightly slower, but that energetic exchange, and how much it took out of her. I have never seen anything like it.” The three of us looked at each other with so many more questions.

[Max’s POV]

I knew something was off about tonight before we met her. My wolf, Dom, has been whimpering and pacing for the past hour, in my head. The smell of jasmine and lavender filled our noses the moment she collided with Sam outside the room. Her smell is intoxicating! What was she doing here? Who is she with? She has a pup, and I cannot wait to meet him. There is an age gap, as I am 37 and she is 42. “Dating an older woman,” Dom smirked and laughed to me. I have waited so long to meet my mate.

Honestly, I thought I would go feral ten years ago, but I have managed to make it this long and maintain my position as Alpha of my pack. I wonder what she will think of my pack and lands. We are the largest in North America, with territory covering the Northern States and into Canada. I am the Alpha of the Dark Water pack and Alpha King of the North. I have known Sam and Damen since we were young children, we have been the closest of friends since. With each of our families being royalty our allegiances to each other’s kind and territories goes back hundreds of years.

Our families bonded us together when we were children as part of the alliance. Damen is the Prince of the Netherworld. His father, King Jav Atropos is thousands of years old, and has reigned supreme over all the undead and dead who inhabit the Netherworld. Damen has lived in our overworld since his childhood. He goes to the Nether often though, to visit his father and learn more of his duties. Although, his father will continue to rule for many more years to come, he wants Damen to keep up on his abilities and duties there as well as here in the overworld.

Sam is a Vampire Prince. His family has kept territories here in the North and keep our kind secret by enforcing laws of minimal killings on humans. The humans that do become food for his kind are ones that have committed severe crimes to other humans. We are not do-gooders by any stretch of the imagination, but we are tasked to maintain our secrets and do our best to protect their kind when at all possible.

I have never seen Sam take to a human before like he instantly took to her. Granted she is his mate as well, which explains it. She is so lovely. Dom wants me to touch her, run my hands up her body, touch her lips, and hold her in our arms. I don’t know why the mate connection took so much out of her and why she passed out.

“Alpha, we have a situation here in the hallway,” my beta Jayden said via mind link. I let him know I was coming. As I began to move her feet so that I could stand, I felt her legs move. “She is walking up,” Sam said. “Fuck, I want to be here when she does, but I have to deal with whatever is going on outside the door” I said in a growl of frustration. “I need to deal with this, and I suggest we take her home afterwards.” Sam and Damen nodded in agreement.

[Gia’s POV]A slow acoustic alternative song in a man's beautiful voice is playing in my mind, as I drive towards my destination. “I am ready, willing, and waiting on you,” was all that I needed to text him. My crush, the man who I have spent the last two years on and off talking to and messaging on social media and our phones. I don’t know why I am taking this risk, knowing my heart and soul are at stake. We had two mediocre dates, and both times he blew me off for at least six months. I knew the moment our eyes first locked on one another that we are soulmates. His big beautiful brown eyes, his sexy hair perfectly spiked in his hawk, and skin so divine that I wanted to lick every inch of him. I am so stupid for doing this. I know that I am just giving him my body and it will all be over after, but I need to be with him tonight. So badly I have fought these urges with him, and now I cannot even think straight. Driving up highway 169 from Shakopee to his house in Minneapolis, weari

  • Crossing The Bridge   CHAPTER 6: NEVER GOING TO DANCE AGAIN

Before my mind could continue that realization and suck me into the darkness that often swallowed me, he disrupted it as he cupped his lips on my clitoris and sucked. Placing a finger inside of me he asserted himself more by licking and sucking every sensitive cell of my flower. Feeling the pulsating sensations of his tongue and lips in and on me, my body started having waves of warm pleasure and shocks cascading up and down. My mind went into another dimension, as his blissful mouth continued the consumption of my arousal. Trying so hard not to scream in intense pleasure, I tugged on my bottom lip with my teeth to force the sounds from erupting out of me. He did not waiver, and continued as I met multiple orgasms. I have no idea how he pleasured me with his mouth and tongue for over an hour, and I became completely vulnerable to him. So vulnerable that my normal tenacious will power was completely broken down. After the fourth orgasm, he licked up every drop of my nectar, stood up

  • Crossing The Bridge   CHAPTER 7: CAPTURED BY GODS

“Gia, wake up… “Gifted you with three,” I hear these words on repeat, as my aching mind starts to wake me up. Dream-like visions danced through my sleep. Visions of wolves, demons, angels, and vampires. Where am I? Hold on, I am laying on something, wait, rather someone. What is going on? Last, I remember, James ditched me for that hot woman, I ran to the restroom, patted water on my forehead and neck, and was going to look for an exit. Then, oh my God! That is right, I ran straight into a man, more like a god. Did I hit my head? He was so beautiful! Did he pick me up off the floor or something? Am I laying on him? As I questioned all this my anxiety rose. I must face the music and open my eyes. Open your eyes, I yelled at myself! Be brave I told myself as I forced my eyes open. As soon as my eyes adjusted, I look and see my head is on a man’s shoulder. His scent smells like the freshest air that I have ever smelled with a mixture of what smells like Ylang-Ylang essential oils and

As the first song came to an end, Max and Damen smiled as they stepped back away from Sam and I to sit on the sofa across from us. “We each want a dance with you separately our Gia, my doe,” Max melodically insisted. The three of them seem to speak without saying anything out load, as if they communicate telepathically. It was strange but also very intriguing. Feeling Sam’s body move from my backside, the sparks and tingles moved as his arms spun me around to face him. My heart raced as our eyes locked. Dark red speckles blended into his obsidian eyes. He stood at least a foot taller than me with his every defined muscle in full revelation through his tight black shirt. Suddenly, he lifted me and placed my feet upon his. While continuing his gaze into my soul, he rested my hands upon his shoulders, and his hands at my hips. His movements ever swift and graceful, that my eyes could not keep track of them. I remember reading once that the human eye can only see up to thirty to sixty

[Unknown POV] Sometimes my patience wanes waiting for my plans to sprout. As I look around my grand throne hall at the creatures of the night taking care of their debaucherous desires, my appetite to slaughter increases. This need to bathe in blood is never fully satisfied. Only this damn female Bridge will quench my bloodlust. “Where the fuck is Chelsea and Josiah,” I demand to my subordinates. Thanatos, my commander mind links Josiah to order that he check in. Thanatos was once the God of death. If it had not been for Hercules and Sisyphus, Death would have still ruled and been feared by mortals and immortals alike. He fell to their traps and was transformed into a dark angel with the assignment of guiding souls to the Netherworld. After careful planning and execution, I freed him of the vice grip held by Jav Atropos, King of the Netherworld. Now, he is my indentured and loyal servant. I do love his creativity on ways to kill people and he is very pleasing to look at. “They will b

[Gia’s POV]Max’s words struck my very core, causing my body to tremble with pulsating need for our skin to be in full contact. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined or thought of being in the situation I am in right now. These three stunning and chiseled men, beasts, or figments of my imagination have my entire being flying so high right now. That small pang of doubt keeps trying to rear its ugly head in me, by making me think this is not real, a trick, a very bad trap, but the compelling sensations I feel pull me back to this moment. Damen stares up at me with his ice blue eyes, as he strokes my thighs. His black pupils have morphed into cat-like vertical slits, and his canines have protruded into fangs.Max moves my hips back and forth on his bulging erection, which is so perfectly fit between my lady bits. [Sam’s POV]Gia’s orgasmic and pleasurable moans were the most divine and euphonious music I have ever heard. None of us planned on taking it this far with her tonight. Granted she is our mate, and it is natural for mates to seal the bond upon first meeting each other. With her being human though, we wanted to wait and give her time, but she is so intoxicating.I haven’t had issues with self-control since my early days of being a youngling vampire. “We need to take her home,” I said softly to Max and Damen. “I don’t want to let her go,” Max said with a low growl. “I don’t either, but...” I started to say when Damen interrupted. “We won’t be gone from her for long,” said Damen. The three of us looked down with a pouting sadness on our faces. This one human woman has managed to turn three adult male beasts into pudding in her little hands.Damen lifted her legs to delicately put back on her pants, shoving her panties in his pocket. I couldn’t help but shake my head slightly and laugh a

[Gia’s POV]My soul was thrust into a portal. Feeling the energies swirling around my aura, while watching the colorful explosions of light all around me, had me confused and in awe. I looked up towards my destination and saw what appeared to be a city, that my soul body was fast approaching.Upon reaching the city, my body slowed down and I spun myself around so that my feet would hit whatever the destination of my trajectory is. When I landed, I felt the softest grass tickle my toes and smelt the most fragrant of flowers that I have ever smelled. The air around me was light and warm. Three suns and three moons radiated around whatever planet I was on.As I adjusted my vision to better see, a beautiful and tall woman, wearing a Greek-style white dress, approached me. With the most gorgeous of platinum blonde hair and lilac-colored eyes, I knew she must be of a different realm.“We have been waiting for you Gia. It was an experience beyond words, beyond comprehension, and yet, somehow, it was also beautiful in its terrifying way.The air around me seemed to ripple and distort. The world's colors blur and warp as if viewed through a broken lens. [Gia’s POV]Staring up at the four goddesses, I began feeling even smaller in these vast phenomena of life, death, the after, and in-between. “Once again, I see your wheels turning in your mind, my child,” Visha said. “How do I become what you want me to be? My soul has not even progressed to the next stage of the divine being. I know I was on the “soul” path to leveling up, but I failed in this life,” I said in a melancholy tone. “We brought your body here with you. We need that vessel specifically, as we coded it for your transformation. You did not fail! You are still on your soul path, but with an extra boost in leveling up,” Hecate declared. The word transformation pressed forward in my mind. “Yes, you will go through a transformation, one that will change you from mortal to immortal,” Visha replied to the thought in my head. Of course, she can read my mind, I said with an internal giggle. “Wait, immortal! But I will outlive Max and my son,” I questioned in panic. “The blessings

  • Crossing The Bridge   Chapter 70: Air of Revelation

[Gia’s POV]Time slowed as the towering goddess walked from behind the triple moon goddesses' thrones to me. My soul buzzed with electricity the closer she got. Like an Amazon woman in some cheesy 70's movie, her height was unbelievable, standing at least ten feet tall. Her skin shimmered as if every cell was made of diamonds. In contrast, her dress is the boldest color of sapphire. The dress was knee-length with triangular-fringed ends. A shawl covered one of her shoulders, and both garments were bound at her waist by a diamond-studded belt. My eyes followed the trail of her exquisite beauty to her dark black hair that disappeared behind her shoulders. Upon her head, she wore a triple-banded gold crown with fourteen dangling Lemurian stones placed approximately two inches apart. When my eyes locked on her sapphire-colored eyes, I felt mine roll back into my head. A warm and gentle breeze flew through me, and I could feel her large hand take hold of me. A feeling of warm sand unde

The voice was like a silk thread being pulled through a needle's eye, weaving through the air with a hint of mischief and curiosity.Feeling weightless in my once physical self, as if my body had been stripped away and all that was left was my consciousness, my eyes struggled to open to see which side of the karma coin my soul landed in this time. A loud metal-on-stone sound reverberated in my mind, as light seeped in through my sight. The sound pulsed through my mind, it felt like sharp vibrations were shooting through my entire body, causing my muscles to tense and my bones to ache. With a sudden burst of force, my soul slid back into a physical body. The feeling was jarring, like being thrown into the world without warning. As I gasped for air, the pressure of the cold floor on my face brought me back to my senses.Unsure if anyone could hear me, I managed to get the words, “Wh

[Gia's POV]Staring into Kali’s eyes, I knew our fates were sealed. Kali's eyes were a deep, soulless black, like dark pits of coal. In them, I saw swirls of fiery red, reflecting the flames of destruction and death that burned within him. His grin was wicked and sadistic, revealing his true malicious intent.I did not falter or look away, as he marched straight towards me, with a grin that was twisted and malevolent, a clear sign of his sadistic joy.Our destinies seemed to align at this moment as if guided by the spark that had opened the portal between worlds. A mere mortal against a beast of all beasts, not quite the devil himself, but built by the devil with the sole purpose of the extreme demise of the beings of this globe. Every move he made exuded power and pure evil.Stopping roughly two feet away from me, Kali’s smile grew wider with a profound sense of inflated ego. “You have done well, my Queen. • Crossing The Bridge   Chapter 65: Open The Portal Or Heads Will Roll

[Gia's POV]We walked through a different door out of the ritual chamber and entered a long hallway. The air was heavy with incense and the sound of our footsteps echoed against the stone walls. I couldn't shake off the feeling that I was being watched, that the very walls were observing me and whispering secrets to each other. As we ventured down the hall, the torches lining the hallway seemed to ignite on their own as we walked by. It was both impressive and unsettling, the way they lit up without any physical touch. What type of craft is this-magical motion detectors, I thought with an internal giggle as I followed death with the others in tow. When we reached the end of our path there were doors made of rich, dark mahogany, their polished surfaces glinting in the light of the torches. As Death pushed them open, blinding white light flooded through, temporarily blurring my vision.[Max's POV]Waking up from Cyrstalla’s spell, I felt my wrists and ankles burning from the silver

  • Crossing The Bridge   Chapter 64: Mind of Darkness

[Gia's POV]The darkness seemed to stretch on forever as I flew back, the walls of the tunnel closing in on me until I hit something solid. It was pitch black, but I could faintly make out the outlines of the walls and ceiling. The darkness was so thick that it seemed to swallow every trace of light, the only source coming from a faint glimmer bouncing off the walls. I could see a liquid pooling around my hands, a viscous black substance that seemed to pulsate and writhe in the dim light. Again, in this darkness, I thought as I stood up and wiped my hands on my dress. "It will not be long now, my child," I recognized Hecate's voice as I stood in the darkness. Her words echoed around me, bouncing off the walls and filling the void with her presence. "Hecate?" I called out, my voice trembling slightly. I couldn't see her, but I could feel her energy surrounding me. "Yes, my dear," she responded, her voice coming from all directions. "What is this place?" I asked, looking around in
