“I should send our butler to call the plumber instead,” Michael said in a begrudging tone as he moved aimlessly around our room.

"Michael, is there a problem?” I asked as I changed into my clothes, which were placed on the bed. I maintained every bit of composure, pretending that I didn’t know Michael was heavily bothered by Seth’s presence.

Seth covered his face with his palms as he sighed, “Everything is fine."

"Okay, because I thought you heard Seth say he was personally going to call the plumber to come check it out himself,” I said as I glanced at Michael and noticed he was still showing discomfort.

Michael grumbled as he spoke in a grouchy tone, "Scarlett, I am not dumb."

“Never said you were." Again, I knew where he was heading, yet I answered him, simply trying not to raise my voice at him because he was pushing.
