Veronica's Point of View
[Eight Months Later]
I took a close look at my blissfully sleeping son. For the months that he was inside of me, I believed that no one would be delighted that he would be born, thus a variety of emotions ran through my chest. However, I was mistaken because it didn't cross my mind that the Moon Goddess would replace what I lost with an even better gift.
"I'll make sure that the life I provide you is not taken away by anybody else, Morgan, and I won't allow you feel as like you are missing out on the love you deserve."
I kissed his forehead and saw his small dimple even though he couldn't hear what I said. I would make sure that my son and I being rogue would not be an obstacle for him to enjoy a normal life.
A painful wound stung my heart as I remembered the past. The day my father found out about my pregnancy, he wanted me to abort Morgan but because I didn't agree, he became very angry with me. I told my mother that I wanted to save the baby because I believed that blood was more important than anything else—but I was wrong.
They outcast me. They shunned me.
Throughout my pregnancy, I didn't shift nor did I find my mate, it became one of the reason why they chose to kick me out from the Shadow Moon Pack.
I wiped my tears as I tell myself that I shouldn't live to my past.
When I calmed down, three nurses came in to check on me just a few seconds later. Nevertheless, my expectation that they would treat me well like when I was a member of the Shadow Moon Pack seemed to had changed.
"Disgusting. How could she give birth without a mate?"
"An unmated and got pregnant?"
"Didn't you know that she should've been the next Alpha of Shadow Moon Pack?"
Even though the nurses were whispering, I could hear what they were talking about. Despite me became a rogue and an unmated werewolf, I still hadn't lost my sharp sense of hearing. I still had an Alpha blood so I didn't understand why they would gossip in front of me.
They started testing my body and other things, while they were doing that, I could feel the hardness of their every move, as if they were angry and disgusted for even touching me.
If I had been the Alpha of the Shadow Moon Pack, I was sure they wouldn't have treated me like this. They might kiss the ground just to get my attention.
I just held my breath when they finished checking me, and since I had just finished crying and my throat was dry, I wanted to ask them a favor, "Can I have a glass of water?"
"Why? Why don't you ask the unknown statues werewolf that got you pregnant?" A nurse replied rudely as she rolled her eyes.
Her two companions laughed. When I was about to open my mouth to answer them, one of her companions spoke again, "You're going to eat later at the cafeteria, aren't you? Why don't you just take it from there?"
"What?" I couldn't believe it.
"I said what I said. Anyway, after you eat, I'll come back here to assist you and move you to the unmated section."
After the nurse stated that, they had already turned back and left. I had to adjust to a life that was distinct from the one I lived in the past. I wanted to eat and drink, but I refrained since I walked straight to a nurse and asked for help finding the unmated section.
When I arrived, I couldn't claim there were a lot of wolves in this area, but I also couldn't say there weren't many. I looked around and noticed an empty bed, so I went right there to lay Morgan down, but as soon as I did, all the females' attention turned to me. They didn't seem to have any plans to harm me, so I was not sure if I should be terrified or relieved.
I just ignored their strange stares at me. It wouldn't be long before I could get out of here.
Weeks went by as I gradually recovered. Perhaps the reason my mending process was quicker than some here who still hadn't regained their power aura was because I was of Alpha blood.
As I was putting Morgan to sleep while seated on the bed, I was astonished when two women stood in front of me. As I waited for them to speak, I realized that they were keeping their gaze fixed on me when I looked up.
"Is there something I can help you with?" I broke their silence.
The first woman was tall and white, her eyes narrowed as she held her baby with the baby's head on her neck. Another woman was also tall while her color is Tan.
The white woman replied, "No, we're just astonished that out of all the patients here, you're the only one that recovered quicker."
"That's right, your boy doesn't cry either, unlike some of the other newborns here whose cries are distressing—"
"Sshh!" Even though we had Beta, Omega, Alpha, or Rogue here, they were still wolves with keen hearing, so I promptly order them to keep quiet. I didn't want to get in any mischief.
They exchanged glances and understood what I tried to communicate right away. Some women were watching at us when I looked around, because of that, I searched around for something piercing, afraid they'd hear our next conversation.
I hastily searched my backpack for a needle injection, and I sneakily pricked my palm. I did the same to them by grabbing their free palms as well.
When our palms had the same amount of blood, I signaled them to stick it on my palm to form the Blood compact and we would have a mind-link.
I felt an electricity run through my brain, a proof that our minds had linked.
I tried to communicate with them using the mind-link, "The reason I have recovered fast is because of my Alpha blood."
I could clearly see the shock in their eyes. They looked at each other and blinked their eyes several times.
"That's why we noticed that you are so different from the ordinary rogue. By the way, I'm Tiffany Rock." The white woman answered me.
"And I'm Sara Gordon." The Tan color girl now.
I smiled at them then cut the mind-link, "And I'm Veronica Silva. The supposed to be Alpha of Shadow Moon Pack."
After my conversation with Sara and Tiffany, I gradually got close with them. They told me their life stories and like me, they were also just an unmated mother.
Since that time, we have assisted one another with our children and daily survival. It was at that point that I understood that your title or status could not determine how happy you would be in life. What you choose to do was not decide by your sense of honor.
And me being unmated would also make no difference. I would raised Morgan with my own— without Alpha Jaxon.
Veronica's Point of View [Three months later] It had been a few months after I was discharged from the hospital. Due to the fact that we lacked a home to return to, my son and I were temporarily living in a car parked close to the train station. It stung to consider that the packhouse, which I was keen to lead on, suddenly viewed me diversely. From a purported Alpha blood werewolf, I inevitably became a rogue who belonged to no pack. It was amusing how one mistake could alter the entire path of your life—how everything appeared to vanish in the blink of an eye. As Morgan slept off in my arms, I peered down at him. I haven't slept in days because I have to watch him; my body was exhausted, and my eyes were threatening to fail. I was ready to lay down for a nap when a knock on my window startled me so much that I nearly leaped out of my seat. I tiredly rolled down the window while my eyes were dull from sleepiness. As soon as it came down, the guard's eyes landed on Morgan, so I in
Veronica's Point of ViewI gave Uriel a serious look as I tightened my hold on Morgan. All the memories of being with him seemed to rush back as we stared at each other. My chest was surrounded by a jumble of emotions: anxiety, dread, exhilaration, and nostalgia for lost moments.Uriel was a childhood buddy of both Ava and I. We were shocked, though, when the warriors pursued them one night, kicked them out of the Shadow Moon Pack, and accused their family of being traitors. It was depressing to see them reprimanded, dubbed as the catastrophe, and to be called who would bring many more tragedies. The last thing I remembered as I watched him walk away to our territory were his sorrowful and hateful eyes. As time passed by, we discovered that he had become the Beta of the Alpha of our archrival pack.Nevertheless, when we met again, he didn't recognize me—or perhaps he didn't want to remember me since I had been a part of his dark yesterday. My presence and my old pack would always be t
Jaxon’s Point of view A pain shot through my chest as I saw her sprint outside carrying the undifferentiated boy who resembled me exactly. I made a light touch to my chest as I clenched my fist and chiseled my jawline. Since the death of my parents, my heart had been a stone and I had never spoken about the emotions that run through my blood anymore, so the strange distress I experienced seemed like a difficult-to-explain scientific study. ‘Mate…’ ‘My mate…’ The moment Black, my wolf, began to purr in my head, I stood still. He struggled to shift with me as my veins began to show, my razor-sharp nails, and my fangs protruded. ‘Black, hold it! She cannot be, Agh! She doesn't have a wolf in her! I sense no any!’ I tried to close my eyes and fight against his attempts to take over me. ‘Besides, you are familiar with and have met our mate before.’ ‘No, that woman… I know it, Panther, she’s my mate.’ After he said that, he took over my body and changed into a wolf as I closed my eye
Veronica's Point of View"Ouch!""Ahh...! Ughh! Stop!""Ngh... Yes! There!"“Shut up!” I strongly shoved the Alpha jerk because of the strange meaning of each of his grunts. He instructed me to massage his back and because I was tired and didn’t want any argument, I did what I was told. But… this man was shameful! “If you don't stop, someone else might overhear you and have a strange thought—”My speech was cut short when he gripped my waist, rubbed it down, and drew his face so near to mine. "Sorry to break it to you, Miss little wolf but you’re the only one thinking of worldly things here between the two of us."He grinned at me before giving me a gentle nudge that nearly caused my ankle to trip. He turned his back on me as I fanned my face to show that I was uninterested in the caress he gave me—I could feel the heat there—and moved over to Morgan's crib.If you wanted to know where this crib came from, you should know that the haughty Alpha Jaxon just bought it to impress me with
Veronica's Point of View "Haaah...!" I let out a scalding breath that brushed against his mouth and crawled to the bed. As I blinked my eyes, I had the sensation that the bed was pulling me to lay against it. But not to ruin this moment, I retreated backwards toward the headboard. I propped myself up against it and erotically removed my body cover. Due to the fact that neither of us made any noise, I could pick out each individual tick of the clock. It was dark, so I wasn't sure if he could see me, but I couldn't take my eyes off of his red eyes no matter how hard I tried. As I observed him with my green eyes, the rapid beating of my heart, which he was solely responsible for, and the heat in my body, which had no other cause, rose. After I had taken off all of my clothes and ensured that our eyes were no longer locked, I maintained my seated position and spread my legs apart. After taking a moment to clear my throat, I put my finger in between them, gaze at him aimlessly and bit m
Verinoca's Point of View The mansion that laid in the center of New York's high woodland appeared to be a fantastical world populated by fairies, a mystical location full of numerous kinds of creatures. Jaxon Knight, the strongest, wealthiest, and cruelest part of the Alpha race, resided here. My eyelids slowly awoke as the warm rays of the freshly awakened sunlight touched my heavy lids. I was unable to swallow my throat or even feel the lower part of my body as I looked around and saw that everything was in clear view. Now that everything was lit up, it was easy to see the expensive stuff. Even the balcony, which I had not noticed when I initially came in, was now in view. “I fell asleep last night,” I mumbled to myself and felt the lump and dryness in my throat. As I wandered my eyes, my attention was drawn to the topless man who was standing at the center of the balcony. He was merely sporting a plain pair of slacks, making it impossible for anyone to assume that he was endowe
BANG!BANG! BANG!Prior to my mind realizing that Alpha Jaxon was the one banging on the door, I was flabbergasted for a little while. I ran there without even covering my body while the drips of water were still trickling down my skin since I was in such a state of terror. My eyes were dilated as I panted and opened the door to meet his what seemed disgusted gaze. I didn't realize I had no clothing on until he scowled and looked at me from top to bottom. With so much uncertainty in my head, I was not sure what to do first.Should I go and shut the door because I couldn't bear the thought of standing in front of him naked or should I ask him if something awful happened? In the end, I didn't want to deal with his rage, so I just inquired, "Is there something wrong?" even though it was difficult for me to do so.He clenched his jaw and fist before he opened his mouth, "Are you really a crazy woman?"“...huh—ahh!”I couldn’t finish my line when he slammed the door shut and shoved me up
I felt Alpha Jaxon's fingers shiver with such a wide range of emotions. How could an Alpha be afraid of someone else's voice? When I looked down, he was barely clenching his fist and I was afraid to hold his hand because he appeared terrified, but I did it in the end.He raised his gaze to mine, and his blue eyes were caught between going blue and turning red. It was a cloud watching his eyes and his troubled countenance. In a split second, his eyes turned into a blue sea as he felt my fingers clamped around his. I was about to check who made him look like this when he obstructed my vision with his wide chest. When he lowered his head and crammed it on my neck, his grip on my fingers tightened, as a result, my pupils dilated."So peaceful... so sweet." Like lightning, his air struck my side of the neck. He sniffed it and played my collarbone with his finger as if no one had called him down the stairs."It tickles, A-Alpha Jaxon."“Hmm?” It gave me a strange feeling to see Alpha Jaxon
