Veronica's Point of View
I gave Uriel a serious look as I tightened my hold on Morgan. All the memories of being with him seemed to rush back as we stared at each other. My chest was surrounded by a jumble of emotions: anxiety, dread, exhilaration, and nostalgia for lost moments.
Uriel was a childhood buddy of both Ava and I. We were shocked, though, when the warriors pursued them one night, kicked them out of the Shadow Moon Pack, and accused their family of being traitors. It was depressing to see them reprimanded, dubbed as the catastrophe, and to be called who would bring many more tragedies.
The last thing I remembered as I watched him walk away to our territory were his sorrowful and hateful eyes. As time passed by, we discovered that he had become the Beta of the Alpha of our archrival pack.
Nevertheless, when we met again, he didn't recognize me—or perhaps he didn't want to remember me since I had been a part of his dark yesterday. My presence and my old pack would always be the reason he would clearly take back to his horrible past.
I was deep in thought, only to be interrupted by an authoritative voice from behind us.
I inhaled and clenched my fist as I felt a lump on my throat. I didn't want another discussion after he rejected my son and accused me of false statements.
As I turned to him to say that I wouldn't chase his help anymore, I stopped in middle and noticed his ocean eyes looking at my arm where Uriel was holding. I would have just shrugged it off, but his eyes glowing and turning red that seemed to have two meanings to me.
I took my arm away from Uriel's grasp so as not to cause any more trouble, but he didn't notice because he was just focused on my face. I was aware that it was a delusion to believe that Alpha Jaxon was impacted by his unassuming action.
"Who gave you permission to make your Alpha King wait only for a woman who came to claim that she is keeping my son without enough proof?" Alpha Jaxon's voice gradually raised, "Uriel, I ordered you to come within two minutes. It has been over ten minutes and you still have not arrived."
Uriel quickly turned around and responded. He knelt down on one knee and bowed his head as if a royal King was in front of him, "Pardon my impudence, Alpha. I didn't mean it... but this girl—"
"What?!" His voice echoed throughout the living room and even the omega servants who were about to pass by fell to their knees in fear.
"I, Uriel Rico, a lowlife, am pleading with you, Alpha, to grant me permission to share what I learned about what transpired on the night you asked me to look into the girl you were with on the night you were given drugs."
*bang*
In the blink of an eye, I heard a tremendous noise and noticed some stones falling from the wall before I saw Uriel being pulled up and slammed up against the wall while being choked by a powerful hand.
Alpha Jaxon emphasized the pressure and strangulation on him even more, which made me more concerned. "You dare to lie to this strongest Alpha in front of you!," he growled. "You told me you couldn't find the trace and smell of the woman who took advantage of me that night. Why does it seem like you are a dog with a split tail now?!"
"F-forgive me, A-Alpha. But t-that is the t-truth... Agghh! I-It's her." Uriel tried to answer the angry Alpha Jaxon even though it was very difficult to speak.
Alpha Jaxon let him go, but when he turned his neck to look at me with enraged eyes, I had to take a step back. His eyes were now much redder than the color red itself, whereas before they were simply flaming red.
"What do you truly want from me? Why don't you stop pestering me?!" His canine teeth were now displayed, "you're the girl who crawled into my bed the night I was drugged?!"
"I had never cause any problems to you, and I never even touch your bed. What the hell are you saying?!"
"Then, explain your purpose for being here; perhaps you planned everything?" He smirked without humor.
My chest grew heavy as he repeatedly accused me. After years of honoring the Shadow Moon pack and being respected by them, I never imagined that the Dark Blood pack would regard me differently. The worst part was that the father of my child was the one who said this words.
"Who are you to accuse me and take your anger out on me? I never imagined myself by your side, and none of my life's plans included becoming a part of your existence!"
Who was he to spat those things to me? Maybe I would be the second Alpha of the Shadow Moon pack right now if nothing had happened to us that night! I never would have become a Rogue! Even though I didn't like it all, Morgan was what came out of it, so I couldn't just toss everything away and be sorry for what occurred.
I pushed him away after wiping away my tears. The guilt was growing in my chest because I feel like I also regretted Morgan being born. As everything started to crash down again, I stopped listening to him.
"I won't disturb you again, and this is the first and only time I'll be here."
After letting go the lines, I ran outside, sobbing one after another that everything I stride appeared to be broken glass. My tender and young heart had never experienced such pain. I was not sure why Alpha Jaxon's remarks had such an impact on me. I was not ready in admitting it yet...
I started to stroll slowly toward my car but stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the blonde woman resting against the door with her arms folded.
"Who is she?" I couldn't help but murmured.
Jaxon’s Point of view A pain shot through my chest as I saw her sprint outside carrying the undifferentiated boy who resembled me exactly. I made a light touch to my chest as I clenched my fist and chiseled my jawline. Since the death of my parents, my heart had been a stone and I had never spoken about the emotions that run through my blood anymore, so the strange distress I experienced seemed like a difficult-to-explain scientific study. ‘Mate…’ ‘My mate…’ The moment Black, my wolf, began to purr in my head, I stood still. He struggled to shift with me as my veins began to show, my razor-sharp nails, and my fangs protruded. ‘Black, hold it! She cannot be, Agh! She doesn't have a wolf in her! I sense no any!’ I tried to close my eyes and fight against his attempts to take over me. ‘Besides, you are familiar with and have met our mate before.’ ‘No, that woman… I know it, Panther, she’s my mate.’ After he said that, he took over my body and changed into a wolf as I closed my eye
Veronica's Point of View"Ouch!""Ahh...! Ughh! Stop!""Ngh... Yes! There!"“Shut up!” I strongly shoved the Alpha jerk because of the strange meaning of each of his grunts. He instructed me to massage his back and because I was tired and didn’t want any argument, I did what I was told. But… this man was shameful! “If you don't stop, someone else might overhear you and have a strange thought—”My speech was cut short when he gripped my waist, rubbed it down, and drew his face so near to mine. "Sorry to break it to you, Miss little wolf but you’re the only one thinking of worldly things here between the two of us."He grinned at me before giving me a gentle nudge that nearly caused my ankle to trip. He turned his back on me as I fanned my face to show that I was uninterested in the caress he gave me—I could feel the heat there—and moved over to Morgan's crib.If you wanted to know where this crib came from, you should know that the haughty Alpha Jaxon just bought it to impress me with
Veronica's Point of View "Haaah...!" I let out a scalding breath that brushed against his mouth and crawled to the bed. As I blinked my eyes, I had the sensation that the bed was pulling me to lay against it. But not to ruin this moment, I retreated backwards toward the headboard. I propped myself up against it and erotically removed my body cover. Due to the fact that neither of us made any noise, I could pick out each individual tick of the clock. It was dark, so I wasn't sure if he could see me, but I couldn't take my eyes off of his red eyes no matter how hard I tried. As I observed him with my green eyes, the rapid beating of my heart, which he was solely responsible for, and the heat in my body, which had no other cause, rose. After I had taken off all of my clothes and ensured that our eyes were no longer locked, I maintained my seated position and spread my legs apart. After taking a moment to clear my throat, I put my finger in between them, gaze at him aimlessly and bit m
Verinoca's Point of View The mansion that laid in the center of New York's high woodland appeared to be a fantastical world populated by fairies, a mystical location full of numerous kinds of creatures. Jaxon Knight, the strongest, wealthiest, and cruelest part of the Alpha race, resided here. My eyelids slowly awoke as the warm rays of the freshly awakened sunlight touched my heavy lids. I was unable to swallow my throat or even feel the lower part of my body as I looked around and saw that everything was in clear view. Now that everything was lit up, it was easy to see the expensive stuff. Even the balcony, which I had not noticed when I initially came in, was now in view. “I fell asleep last night,” I mumbled to myself and felt the lump and dryness in my throat. As I wandered my eyes, my attention was drawn to the topless man who was standing at the center of the balcony. He was merely sporting a plain pair of slacks, making it impossible for anyone to assume that he was endowe
BANG!BANG! BANG!Prior to my mind realizing that Alpha Jaxon was the one banging on the door, I was flabbergasted for a little while. I ran there without even covering my body while the drips of water were still trickling down my skin since I was in such a state of terror. My eyes were dilated as I panted and opened the door to meet his what seemed disgusted gaze. I didn't realize I had no clothing on until he scowled and looked at me from top to bottom. With so much uncertainty in my head, I was not sure what to do first.Should I go and shut the door because I couldn't bear the thought of standing in front of him naked or should I ask him if something awful happened? In the end, I didn't want to deal with his rage, so I just inquired, "Is there something wrong?" even though it was difficult for me to do so.He clenched his jaw and fist before he opened his mouth, "Are you really a crazy woman?"“...huh—ahh!”I couldn’t finish my line when he slammed the door shut and shoved me up
I felt Alpha Jaxon's fingers shiver with such a wide range of emotions. How could an Alpha be afraid of someone else's voice? When I looked down, he was barely clenching his fist and I was afraid to hold his hand because he appeared terrified, but I did it in the end.He raised his gaze to mine, and his blue eyes were caught between going blue and turning red. It was a cloud watching his eyes and his troubled countenance. In a split second, his eyes turned into a blue sea as he felt my fingers clamped around his. I was about to check who made him look like this when he obstructed my vision with his wide chest. When he lowered his head and crammed it on my neck, his grip on my fingers tightened, as a result, my pupils dilated."So peaceful... so sweet." Like lightning, his air struck my side of the neck. He sniffed it and played my collarbone with his finger as if no one had called him down the stairs."It tickles, A-Alpha Jaxon."“Hmm?” It gave me a strange feeling to see Alpha Jaxon
“I-I... We...” I felt a lump in my throat and couldn’t make out a word. Anxiety pumped my chest the second time I stared at his burning gaze. As I was ready to put up a reason, a voice reverberated behind his back.“Alpha, you suddenly disappeared from my sight. Where did you—“A sweet voice was cut through the thin air. No one dared to open their mouth—it was just a whole awkward situation. But as for me, I was taken aback by the match heaven “couple” right before my eyes. I couldn’t take my eyes away from the woman who arrived, that seemed to be the Moon Goddess herself. Her features shout it all— from the eye-long lashes, her omega eyes but enticing, the pink lips that were pinker than the strawberry; what could go wrong with her? Nothing... as in nothing.I secretly dragged my eyes toward myself— no slippers, panty, a bathrobe that slightly revealed my cleavage, and messy hair. A thunder of insecurities snapped at me; what strike could I make compared to her?“Veronica, I’m not re
I couldn’t sum up how many hours, days… and weeks I had counted as I blankly stared at the silent door, waiting for Jaxon to burst it open and point at me with his sore finger like I did something horrifying again. The last convo we had was the last time I saw him.In the past, I desired to be alone, not disturbed, and just locked myself up. However, to my surprise, I was alone in this room with Morgan now, yet I was saddened by it. That small amount of time I had with Jaxon made me get used to it. He didn’t even pamper or console me, but why did I feel this way?I heaved a last glance at the door before finally turning my back on it and picking Morgan in his crib. His feature started to develop, his tan color was slowly revealing, and he could completely open his mouth and eyes now—how I wished his father could witness this little progress of his.I smiled when Morgan opened his eyes again and laughed with his small voice—along with his giggle was a sudden knock on the door. As much
