2024-10-29 19:42:56It was a very special day, the sun was out, the weather was great, and holy dendelions with the hint fragrance of vanilla was scattered all over the Kingdom of Alvarez. It was the coronation day, for the one and only, the chosen priest who will inherit the Power of Light .
Everyone is celebrating, the Kingdom is covered with the people's smile. Noise filled the Kingdom, as people were enjoying the celebration.
Today is the day, the Kingdom will now have its new protector. The Power of Light that have been in silence for thousand of years is now active and have chosen its new owner.
The Power of Light is a sacred power that have been protected by the church of this Kingdom for thousand of years. It was a power bestowed by the God of light, it was a power made to protect the people of this Kingdom.
This is a sacred power that can only be obtained by the faith of the people in this Kingdom. A prophecy was made by the first pope of this Kingdom thousand of years ago and stated.
"He who catches the heart of the citizens of the Kingdom of Alvarez, he who gained their trust will obtain the power bestowed by the God of Light and will live for hundreds of years protecting the Kingdom and its people."
As the celebration is being held, a terrible and unexpected thing happened in the middle of the ceremony. Someone was murdered in front of the public. It was the King, the King was killed. King Alvero was beheaded in front his people. It was a fast murder that no naked eye could comprehend . It's as if magic was used.
Athena, the only daughter of King Alvero and the only Princess of the Kingdom of Alvarez was in an ultimate shock. She didn't know how to react.
"Father!"The Princess shouted, and tears were falling from her Eyes. Both of her knees gave out as she was crying intensely. The Princess was in her most miserable state.
Queen Amirah on the other hand, despite the fact that her husband was killed in front of her and their people, her emotions was still intact. The Queen did not loose her composure and ordered the Knights to find and kill the perpetrator.
"Who did this? Who is daring enough to kill my King! Knights of Alvarez, find the murderer and bring him to me!"
Luci, the chosen Priest smiled. His smile was full of happiness and joy, it's as if he succeeded on something. Something that he was waiting for a very long time, something that he always wanted to achieve. The priest was smiling evilly.
"It was me your majesty, the chosen priest, the one who recently inherited the Power of Light. It was me, I am the murderer!"
The noise that covered the Kingdom was instantly silenced. Everyone was taken aback, the people could not believe what they heard. It couldn't be. They could not bare for this scenario to be a reality. For them, this is a nightmare. A terrible nightmare, a story that could only end in a tragedy.
Pope Fos, the Archpriest of the Kingdom was in raged. He was shocked by what he have heard. It was very unexpected. The most valuable treasure of the kingdom, the power that the church always protected was obtained by a traitor. He could not let this continue anymore, Luci must be stopped.
"How dare you use the Power of Light against the royal family! All knights of the church listen to my command, kill the murderer!"
The Royal knights and the Church's knights attacked the priest, but Priest Luci was so powerful that even the Knights couldn't handle his wrath.
"You can't kill me, I am now the holder of this Kingdom's most valuable treasure, most powerful weapon, the Power of Light."
The Princess finally recovered her composure. Even though her heart is full of sadness and hatred, her curiosity shined more brightly than her rage.
" But why? Why did you do this? You were supposed to be our guardian, the guardian of this Kingdom who will protect us from danger. Why? Why did you kill my father, why are you betraying this Kingdom ? We gave everything to you, everything you have now was because of us, and it is your duty to use what we gave you to protect this Kingdom , to protect the royal family!"
The smiling face of the traitor changed. His smiling face became a scowl. Luci's face was full of hatred, it's as if he was holding this emotions for a very long period of time.
" You gave everything to me? No, you took everything from me! I am no priest, I am no saint, and lastly I would never protect this Kingdom. I am not indebted to any of you, you all are indebted to me!"
The pope could not comprehend where this anger is coming from. A kind hearted, innocent priest could not have this much anger inside him. Everything doesn't make sense.
" What are you trying to say?"
The Pope asked.
" My name is not Luci, I am prince Lucido the last remaining member of the royal family from the Kingdom of Agura. Yes, I am a prince from the Kingdom who was destroyed by your Kingdom. I am the remaining member of the family that was murdered by your King!"
Queen Amirah was not only shocked but felt an intense fear after she heard the truth from the fallen prince .
"But how? All the members of that Kingdom's royal family was murdered by my husband? "
Everyone was bewildered. He who was chosen to protect their Kingdom was actually an enemy?
"I escaped, and lived in this kingdom for 10 years pretending to be Luci, the weak, naive, kind-hearted boy. For 10 years, I've been preparing for this moment! I will destroy this Kingdom by the power that you have given to me!"
Priest Luci was smiling forcibly with tears falling from his eyes as he was massacring the people in the Kingdom of Alvarez.

However, dead bodies were scattered over the Kingdom, blood painted the street, but the people did not feel any grief but rather relief. Relief of surviving from the terror braught by Luci. The massacre was so terrifying that grief did not reached the people, even with the bodies of their loved ones, they did not feel any sadness. The only emotion that they felt was relief, relief of surviving from that hellish situation. After Luci's death, Merlin started to undo his spell, as his life is continously being taken away every moment the spell is casted. The spell of darkness that covered the whole Kingdom. The darkness started to fade, the light of the sun started to touch the people's skin. As the light reaches the people, so is Luci's remains.
