Chapter Twenty Six

There was this strange emotion in me. I couldn't let Axel know, so I did my best to think of everything but that Thane had spent the night with Beatrix, leaving me in my room all alone. I hated it. I had admired the girl when I first saw her, but now, I felt the dislike brewing in me.

"Are you okay?" Axel asked as we headed on our way to the woods.

"Yes" I lied.
