Inside the ambulance, I clung to Noah's hand with all my might as the medical team bustled around us. They swiftly set up a drip and administered oxygen to him. My heart felt like a heavy stone, weighed down by the intense worry and guilt. I held onto him, my silent prayers filling the small space. I couldn't help but apologize in my thoughts for the turmoil and heartache he had endured, all because of me.

I couldn't even begin to fathom the myriad of thoughts that raced through Noah's mind when he returned from his trip and discovered that I had vanished. To then find me in the hands of another man, married no less? It was a level of betrayal that no one could easily bear. The feeling of remorse and regret was like a knot in my chest, knowing that I had caused him so much pain.

Nora sat nearby, her gaze fixed on me, torn between concern and frustration. She seemed unsure whether to yell at me or simply push me out of the moving vehicle.

She sighed, her voice laced with bitter
