This is where she is now. In a room with mostly white walls, the smell of medicine, though masked by air freshener, still has a rather unpleasant quality. There were a few medical devices on one of the stacking shelves at one of the edges of the bed. And let's not forget the monitor that had just been used to check. Against whom? Who else could it be, if not Miya Ashton?

"Everything looks good," the middle-aged female doctor said gently, looking at Miya with a reassuring smile. The exam results show that your uterus is in good health and there are no abnormalities or problems to worry about.

Miya nodded slowly, although she was still feeling a bit anxious. She kept her eyes fixed on the monitor showing the results of the examination, as if she needed to see it again to believe what she had just heard. "I'm healthy," she told herself.

"So, what does that mean?" Miya finally spoke up, her voice a little shaky.

"This means you're good to go if you want to have kids. Your body is in great shape for getting pregnant," the doctor said in a reassuring tone. "You and..." Sarah Paulina, the obstetrician, gave the man in the black suit sitting nearby a quick glance. "Mr. Sawyer has nothing to worry about." This process should go smoothly with the right attention and care. "I'll suggest some fertility-boosting vitamins for you."

Miya took a deep breath to let the information sink in. "Thanks for the explanation, Doctor," she said, trying to calm down.

"We'll be in touch regularly, Miya. I hope you're comfortable with me coming by."

On the plus side, she was being supervised by a warm and friendly doctor. She'd met doctors who talked too much, didn't explain things clearly, and seemed a bit stiff when giving her information.

"I'm happy to have you as my doctor, Sarah."

Sarah smiled and made a point of smoothing out the file the man in the black shirt wanted. "Mr. Alex, these are the results of the exam that Mr. Sawyer requested. I'll also give him a call right away to go over the results of this afternoon's exam."

"Yes, Doctor." The man named Alex got the file right away so he could give it to his boss. When it comes to the master, nothing should be left out. That means making sure there's tight security if this blonde-haired girl is outside the mansion area. Aelx didn't dare ask questions like that, even though he was quite curious.

Who is this girl? It was unusual for Damian Sawyer to take a girl captive in one of his residences. But Alex didn't feel like asking questions, especially about his master's personal affairs.

"So, is this hospital business done?" Alex asked as he stood up. Sarah nodded in response.

Miya could only smile and accept her fate. She couldn't linger in this room, could she? "Alright," she said, grabbing the long coat that was draped over the back of the chair. "Excuse me."

"I hope we have the chance to meet again soon."

Miya's smile was still on her face. If they met again, that would mean... There's a chance Miya could be pregnant. Oh, talking about being pregnant gave her goose bumps. Miya wasn't sure if she should be grateful or if this was a bad thing.

Last night.

As Victor left Miya, he asked the staff to take care of the blonde girl. Then, his phone rang. Miya didn't pay much attention until Victor yelled, and then everyone nearby turned to look.

"How did that happen, Marcus?" Damian's already been informed.

"..."

"I'll be right there." Victor ended the call quickly and said loudly, "Josh, get my bike ready. Could you also bring the two katanas into my training room? And some of the people on standby here, let's head over there. Give Ricardo a call and ask him to head over to the Catterpilar Club. Damian's waiting there, so try to get there within five minutes."

Josh, who immediately went over to Victor, looked at the brown-haired man with surprise. "What's going on, Mr. Victor?"

"Kenzo was killed at the border."

Josh looked at Victor with disbelief. "Kenzo... Was he working with Mr. Marcus? He... died?"

"He's still breathing, but he's in bad shape. Let's hope he makes it, otherwise Marcus could cause us a lot of problems." Victor rolled up the sleeves of his shirt.

"Let's get a move on and get ready. Make sure we don't leave anyone behind."

He quickly left the mansion but, as if he'd just had a revelation, he turned back. He walked over to where Miya was sitting.

Miya was taken aback by Victor's sudden movements and the somewhat alarming conversation. She subtly edged towards the corner of the sofa. "What's up, Mr. Victor?"

"Don't ever leave this building, no matter what. I've asked Desi and Alex to keep an eye on you. Damian doesn't like it when his team members don't follow instructions."

Miya let out a low growl of frustration. "I know."

"You're lucky, Miya. It's possible that Damian won't see you for the next few days. But when he has free time, be ready." Victor spoke, his eyes fixed on Miya's frightened gaze. "Do you understand?"

Miya just nodded in reply.

Victor quickly left again this time with a few men in black uniforms. They were tall and looked quite sinister. The man named Josh was carrying the two white sheathed katanas that Victor had requested.

"What do you think they're going to do?" Miya asked, confused.

"They've got some pretty risky business on their hands," Desi says as she puts a cup of chamomile tea down for Miya. She'd also got some snacks ready for the evening. "I'm not really sure what Miss Miya likes. But I'm trying to make you comfortable."

Miya couldn't help but smile. "This is more than enough, thank you."

"I've also asked the chef to prepare dinner for you. Is that okay with you?"

Miya shook her head right away. "You're very thoughtful."

"It's my job to serve you, Miss Miya."

"You mentioned they had some risky business on the go. What... is it something that could affect someone's life?" Miya asked, sounding cautious. She was curious about a lot of things. Victor's conversation with the other person made her uneasy. On top of that, the item brought by the man named Josh. Miya was aware of what it was and what it was used for. If a swordsman had these two items in his hands, they could be very dangerous.

"You might be better off ignoring what you just heard. I can only reiterate what I said before."

Miya let out a little chuckle at that. She picked up her teacup and took a sip, glancing at the girl standing nearby with a look of distaste. She had a flat face and seemed to lack expression, and she came across as a bit stiff in her demeanor. Even though she was wearing a typical waitress uniform, Desi was used to working deftly.

The tea Miya was enjoying tasted pretty good, and it helped to ease some of the anxiety she was feeling. The snacks are just right for a taste test. Miya was certain the meal being prepared would rival the quality of a five-star restaurant. It seems that Miya should also get used to it.

She's already here, so there's no way out except to follow the terms of the contract.

"You're scheduled to meet with the gynecologist tomorrow, Miss Miya."

Miya turned her head to look at Desi, her forehead wrinkled in confusion. "What did you say?"

"Mr. Damian wants to do your final exam, including the gynecological stuff.

Miya's face turned red, and she felt a sudden rush of embarrassment. Damian's request was reasonable, given the terms of the contract. However, there were some concerns. "Why didn't he loop me in first?"

"Just a heads-up: if you forget, you're banned from using cell phones here."

Miya's eyes lit up with excitement. "Are you crazy?" She stood up and asked for the phone that was in Desi's hand. One thing Miya couldn't ignore was the cell phone. Even though she knew what the contract was about, Miya also didn't want to contact anyone. In particular, she didn't contact Tessa. There was no way she could tell the truth about the quickest way out of her problem. On the bright side, she could see what was going on outside, especially when it came to the news about her.

She also noticed that the bag she always kept close by was missing. The memory of it was left in Victor's study. "Damn it!" she exclaimed. "Give me yours. I need to speak with your rather eccentric boss."

"You can't call when Mr. Damian has business to take care of."

"I'll just be a minute." Miya was insistent. "Let's get on with it."

"No, Ms. Miya." Desi put her phone away right away. "Please, go back to enjoying your tea and snacks. Excuse me a moment while I check on your dinner preparations."

Miya was taken aback. "Or, I could give Mr. Victor a quick call. I need to speak with him."

Desi just turned her head and gave a little smile while shaking her head. "Is there anything you need to tell Mr. Victor?"

Oh, no! Miya seems upset tonight.

Back to the situation where Miya followed Alex's steps who walked with a wary attitude. Miya was surprised but didn't want to ask. Miya was still mulling over the issue of communication that had been restricted by Damian. So, during the contract period, Miya was in a different civilization from other humans? That's right.

"Please, Miss," Alex opened the door for Miya in the rear passenger seat. Miya just nodded and sat down to make herself comfortable. Before Alex returned to the driver's seat, Miya said.

"I want to go to Hillarious University. I left my stuff there."

"We can't, Miss. We must arrive at the mansion immediately. Mr. Damian is waiting for you."

That night, Leonard stood in an empty building on the outskirts of the city, his face full of confidence. In his hand, there was a cell phone displaying important messages for his men. The plan to harm Miya was almost complete. He would not let Damian win.“Make sure Miya doesn't get out of the mansion. If necessary, make a big enough ruckus so Victor and Marcus can't focus on protecting her,” Leonard ordered over the cell phone. However, unbeknownst to him, one of Marcus' men had infiltrated his communication network. The messages were relayed directly to Marcus. At Damian's mansion, Marcus read the report seriously. “Leonard's on the move again,” he told Victor, who immediately stood up.“We have to act fast. I won't let him touch Miya,” Victor replied in a firm tone.A car was speeding through the streets of Northderm. Leonard tried to escape after realizing that his plan had been leaked. However, behind him, Marcus' team was ready to give chase.“Don't let him get away!” exclaimed

Damian sat quietly in the small interrogation room, staring at Tedy who was tied to the chair in front of him. In the corner of the room, Harold stood restlessly, going through a pile of documents and notes.“He won't talk,” Harold muttered, breaking the silence.Damian raised one eyebrow, his expression cold. “Everyone has a soft spot. If he doesn't talk now, I'll make sure he regrets his silence.”Tedy looked up, his face scarred but his smile mocking. “You think I'm afraid of you, Damian? I've survived this far. You won't get anything out of me.”Damian leaned closer, his voice low but threatening. “I don't need your confession, Tedy. I just want to make sure that you have no way out. Harold, prepare the documents for the court martial. I want him processed as soon as possible.”Harold looked at Damian skeptically. “Court martial? Damian, this will attract great attention. Are you sure this is the right move?”Damian nodded firmly. “Leonard can't communicate with Tedy anymore. It's

Damian stepped into the room with a cold stare. The place was dark, lit only by a few low-hanging chandeliers, creating long shadows on the walls. Harold, the police chief who was Damian's partner, was already waiting there with some of his men. In the corner of the room, Tedy, Leonard's assistant, sat tied to a chair. His face was bruised, but his gaze remained defiant.“What did you find here?” Damian asked Harold matter-of-factly.Harold let out a long breath. “Not much. We only found traces of a small fight. Some of our guards were attacked in a very organized way. Leonard escaped with the help of someone who knows the ins and outs of this place very well.”Damian turned to Tedy. “This guy,” he said, pointing at the bound man. “He must know something. He was Leonard's right-hand man for years.”Marcus, who was standing next to Damian, approached with a tense face. “Let me do the talking first,” he said. Marcus approached Tedy and looked at him intensely. “Tell me where Leonard is

Rebecca sat in her office with a sharp gaze. In front of her, a man in a neat suit but looking nervous stood up while handing over a thick file. The man, one of Rebecca's confidants, sighed before speaking.“Mrs. Rebecca, this is all the information we managed to gather about the woman living in Mr. Damian's mansion,” he said in a careful tone.Rebecca opened the file and began to read carefully. Inside were photos of Miya walking in the garden with Hera and Kayoko, Miya looking happy while holding her growing belly, even some medical reports from the doctor who handled her pregnancy. Rebecca's face turned red, her eyes widened in anger.“Pregnancy? So this is the reason he's so protective of that woman?” her voice raised, making the man in front of her look down even deeper.“Yes, ma'am. That woman is pregnant. The doctor is Dr. Hana from the specialty clinic downtown,” the man replied in an almost whispered tone.Rebecca slammed the file onto the table. “Damian never told me anythin

Miya sat on the living room sofa with a worried face. The atmosphere of the mansion had been different since morning. The extra guards Damian had brought in were pacing back and forth with serious looks on their faces. Miya looked at the cup of tea in her hand, not really in the mood to drink it. Kayoko sat beside her, trying to break the ice with funny stories, but Miya's concern was still evident.“Miya, you're thinking too much,” Kayoko said as she thrust a piece of cake at Miya. “Try eating this. If you continue like that, Damian will definitely worry.”Miya let out a long breath. “I just feel like something's not right. All this... the extra security, Damian being more protective than usual, makes me wonder.”Desi, Miya's personal assistant, who was sitting not far from them, finally spoke up. “Mrs. Miya, there's actually something that Mr. Damian is furious about. Someone he was keeping an eye on... escaped from his watch. That's why he's tightened the security in this mansion.

That morning, the atmosphere at the Sawyer mansion was different. Damian was seen talking to some well-built men who had just arrived in the courtyard. Miya watched from the living room window, sensing something unusual. Kayoko, who was sitting next to her enjoying her morning tea, also glanced out.“What is Damian doing?” Miya asked quietly, more to herself.Kayoko turned her head and smiled slightly. “Maybe he just wants to make sure everything is safe. You know how Damian is.”Miya nodded, but curiosity got the better of her. She decided to wait until Damian came in to ask him directly. Not long after, Damian appeared in the living room. His face looked tense, but he tried to hide it with a small smile when he saw Miya.“What's going on, Damian?” she asked directly.Damian came over and sat next to her. He grasped Miya's hand gently. “Just a precaution. There's nothing for you to worry about.”Miya looked at him skeptically. “But why the extra security? Does this have anything to d
