Milana’s POV

The shock on their faces was priceless, and I savoured every second. Magnus and Riana stood frozen, their expressions a mixture of disbelief and fear. It was as if I had pulled the ground out from under them, leaving them scrambling to regain their footing.

Magnus, usually composed, seemed at a loss, his mouth opening and closing as though searching for words. Riana, however, was the first to break the silence. Her voice came sharp and defensive, an edge of panic bleeding into her tone. “That’s not true!” she snapped, her hands curling into tight fists at her sides. Her gaze darted to Magnus, silently pleading for him to intervene, to shield her from the weight of my words. “This has to be some kind of joke. You’re lying!”

Her desperation filled the air like a tangible force, her composure cracking at the seams. But before she could say another word, Max’s voice rang out, calm yet commanding, cutting through the tension like a blade. “Enough.”

His single word carried unde

Milana’s POVThe room seemed to shrink, the air growing heavier as Magnus’s voice cut through the thick tension. “You and I are mates, Milana,” he said, his tone steady yet laced with a desperation he failed to mask. His words were meant to hold power, to compel me to acknowledge the bond he claimed we shared. “You know it. You feel it—the pull, the connection. It’s undeniable.”A bitter laugh escaped my lips, sharp and cutting before I could stop it. I tilted my head, allowing the sound to echo before locking eyes with him. “Oh, Magnus,” I said softly, almost mockingly. “Is that what you’ve convinced yourself of? That I’d come running back to you like some lost little lamb? You think that pathetic excuse for a ‘pull’ is enough to erase everything you’ve done?”My laughter faded, leaving a cold, deliberate silence in its wake. “The only thing undeniable here,” I continued, my voice dripping with disdain, “is your arrogance. And how quickly it will be your downfall.”Magnus flinched, b

Milana’s POVThe air in the room grew colder as Alpha Rick’s eyes widened slightly at my blunt words. He seemed caught off guard for a moment, his usual composed demeanour slipping just enough for me to notice. His gaze flickered to Magnus and Riana, then back to me, clearly unsure what to make of the scene unfolding before him.“Milana,” Alpha Rick began, his voice calm but firm, the tone of a man used to giving orders and being obeyed. “You have family in the Sky Fur Pack. You belong with us. You should return to where you truly belong.”I couldn’t help the small laugh that escaped my lips—soft, almost amused, yet laced with a bitterness that had been festering for years. “Do you even understand what you’re saying?” I asked, locking eyes with him. “Do you understand why I’m standing here beside Max? Why am I not and will never return to your pack again?”Alpha Rick’s brow furrowed, confusion crossing his face. He didn’t respond immediately, so I continued, my voice sharper with each

Milana’s POVThe weight of Alpha Rick’s shocked silence hung heavy in the air, his towering figure momentarily robbed of its imposing presence. His lips parted slightly, the usual authority in his demeanor faltering as he asked, almost tentatively, “You’ve regained your power?”I nodded slowly, savoring the disbelief etched into his features. “Yes,” I replied, my voice calm but firm. “I have. And I’m grateful for it—grateful that you and your pack, in all your cruelty, almost killed me. Because of what you did, I was forced to grow stronger. I was forced to find my true self. And in doing so, I found him—my soulmate.”At my words, I could see the flicker of anger darken Alpha Rick’s eyes. It was subtle but unmistakable, the kind of fury from losing control of something he thought he could manipulate. His jaw tightened as he stepped forward, his towering frame radiating tension.“You’re angry,” I noted, tilting my head, my tone laced with mock curiosity. “Why? Is it because your plan f

Magnus’ POVThe air around Magnus was heavy with the weight of his own failure. As he drove in silence, the echo of Milana’s words played repeatedly in his head, each cutting more profound than the last. His knuckles were white against the steering wheel, his jaw clenched tightly as his mind raced with everything that had just transpired. He glanced at Riana sitting beside him, her face a mixture of anger and disbelief. She didn’t say anything for once, perhaps because she couldn’t spin this situation into something redeemable. When they arrived at her parents' house, Magnus pulled the car to a halt and didn’t even wait for her to fully step out before he sped away. He didn’t look back. He couldn’t bear to.When he reached home, an even more significant storm met the fury bubbling under his skin. His father, Alpha Rick, was waiting for him in the foyer, his face dark and menacing.“You have some nerve walking in here like nothing happened,” Alpha Rick growled, his voice low but vibrat

Maximus’ POVThe rage in my chest boiled over as I slammed the door to my office shut, the sound echoing like a thunderclap. My aura pulsed, dark and oppressive, wrapping around the room like an unforgiving storm. The air felt heavy, charged with my fury, and I couldn’t suppress the growl rumbling deep in my throat. My fists clenched so hard my nails bit into my palms, but it wasn’t enough to drown out the roar in my mind. All I could see was their faces—Magnus and Riana, smug and manipulative, thinking they could use her, thinking they could win. My wolf snarled inside me, restless and bloodthirsty. It would have been so easy to end them both. A snap of my jaws, a swipe of my claws, and they’d be nothing but a bad memory. The door creaked open, and I snapped my head toward it, my eyes glowing with unchecked power. Rowan stepped in, his movements cautious, like a man walking a tightrope over a pit of fire.“Max,” he started, his voice steady but tinged with wariness. “You need to calm

Milana’s POVThe evening had been fantastic so far. My heart was light as I reflected on how far Max and I had come in such a short time. Every lingering touch, every shared smile—it all felt like the kind of progress I had only dared hope for. For the first time in years, I felt safe, valued, and, most importantly, loved.Excusing myself from the table, I stepped into the dimly lit hallway to answer my buzzing phone. The air was incredible, and the muffled sounds of other diners created a distant hum as I pressed the phone to my ear. “Hello?” I greeted, unsure who would be calling me at this hour.“Milana! It’s Daisy,” came the warm, familiar voice of the Luna of the Cave Pack.I smiled immediately, the tension in my shoulders easing at the sound of her voice. Daisy and I had met at a pack gathering a few months ago. What had started as a polite introduction had quickly turned into genuine camaraderie. Daisy was everything I admired—graceful, composed, and brimming with quiet strengt

Milana’s POVThe hallway felt colder than before, and my pulse quickened as Riana’s hand shot toward me. Reflexively, I grabbed her wrist mid-air, stopping her intended slap just inches from my face. The contact made her freeze, her widened eyes betraying the briefest flicker of fear before her expression hardened again.I smiled, but it wasn’t a kind smile—it was one that carried years of suppressed anger and frustration. “Did you really think,” I began, my grip tightening around her wrist, “that I’d let you get away with that?”Riana gasped sharply, the sound cutting through the quiet hallway like a knife. Her once-arrogant demeanor wavered, replaced by a flicker of panic as I twisted her arm further. The pressure I applied wasn't enough to break it—but it was enough to remind her who held the power now. Her lips parted as if to speak, but no words came, only a pained whimper that she quickly swallowed, trying to cling to the remnants of her shattered composure. Her eyes darted wild

Magnus’ POVThe past few days had been exhausting, my thoughts circling endlessly around the mess my life had become. Every decision, every mistake, every word left unsaid—it all weighed on me like an anchor, dragging me down. Milana’s absence was a constant thorn in my side, a reminder of how badly I had underestimated her strength and underestimated Max. And now, with everything spiraling out of control, I couldn’t even think clearly. This morning, I decided I’d had enough of pacing the same walls, drowning in the same guilt. Pulling on a pair of sneakers, I stepped outside, the crisp air hitting me like a jolt to the system. Jogging had always helped clear my head, and I desperately needed it now. The path through the woods behind the packhouse was quiet, save for the sound of my footsteps crunching against the dirt. It was almost enough to quiet the turmoil in my head. Almost. But, of course, nothing in my life could stay peaceful for long.I had barely rounded the bend when the s

Milana’s POVThe room was quiet, dimly lit by the soft glow of the bedside lamp. I lay sprawled across the plush mattress, staring up at the ceiling. Memories danced in my mind, vivid and tantalizing. It was always the same—those nights when Max and I had been lost in each other, tangled in passion. My lips curled into a small smile as I recalled the way he had whispered my name, his touch igniting a fire that burned hotter than anything I’d ever known.Max had a way of making me feel alive, as if the world outside didn’t matter. He could tease me with a single glance, a mischievous smile that sent my heart racing. He always knew what to say, what to do, to strip away any resistance I might have. He was magnetic, and I was powerless to resist him.But tonight was different. The memories weren’t enough to distract me from the heaviness in my body. For days now, I’d felt unusually fatigued. My energy was sapped, and I spent more time lying in bed than doing anything productive. Even the

Riana’s POVThe pain from the lashes still burned across my back, each movement sending fresh waves of agony through my body. The wounds throbbed beneath the thin fabric of my dress, a constant, searing reminder of the public humiliation I had endured. But worse than the physical pain was the sting of their judgment. Their whispers followed me like shadows, hissing insults and mocking my fall from grace. I could feel their eyes on me, sharp and cold, as if their gazes alone could strip me of whatever dignity I had left.I moved cautiously through the packhouse, every step a test of my resilience. My body ached with every breath, my pride bleeding as heavily as my wounds. I kept my head high, but it was a façade—one that threatened to crumble under the weight of their ridicule. They had once envied me, admired me, sought to be me. Now, they watched with satisfaction as I suffered, their hatred palpable and unrelenting.Memories of who I used to be haunted me with every passing moment.

Riana’s POVThe sharp, throbbing ache coursing through my body was the first thing I felt as I stirred from unconsciousness. My eyelids fluttered open, heavy and uncooperative, as I struggled to make sense of my surroundings. The familiar warmth and scent of my room greeted me, but the comfort it once brought felt distant and hollow. Every part of me hurt, like I had been ripped apart and pieced back together with trembling hands.A voice called my name, soft and trembling with worry. My head turned toward the sound, and I saw my mother standing by the bed, her face pale and streaked with tears. Her lips quivered as she tried to smile, but the sorrow in her eyes betrayed her. My father stood beside her, his usual commanding presence dimmed, his shoulders sagging under the weight of something unspeakable. The air in the room was heavy with grief, suffocating in its intensity.“Riana, my love,” my mother whispered, her voice breaking. She reached out, brushing a strand of hair from my d

The air between us burned with unspoken fury, thick with Magnus’s rage as he loomed over me, his face contorted in disdain.“You’re the source of all this chaos, Riana,” he spat, his voice venomous. “None of this would’ve happened if I hadn’t listened to you. You’ve ruined everything—my reputation, my future, my place in the pack. All of it!”I pressed my trembling hand against my stinging cheek, glaring up at him through tear-filled eyes. “Don’t act like this is all my fault, Magnus!” I shot back, my voice trembling but defiant. “You made your choices too. Riana's POVThe oppressive silence of the grand hall weighed down on me as I stood beside Magnus. My heart pounded, a mixture of indignation and unease twisting in my chest. This wasn’t how things were supposed to go. This wasn’t supposed to happen to me.The twelve elders sat in a perfect circle at the center of the room, draped in black robes that concealed their faces. Their mere presence radiated authority, making it hard to breathe. I swallowed hard, trying to maintain my composure as their eyes—or what I imagined were their eyes—bore into us."Magnus Hale and Riana Devereaux," one of them began, his voice a low rumble that reverberated through the hall. "Your recent actions have brought disgrace to this pack."I bristled at his words, my spine straightening as a surge of indignation coursed through me. Disgrace? The word echoed in my mind, fueling the fire of my growing frustration. How could defending myself, standing my ground, be seen as disgraceful? My nails dug into my palm

His hand brushed lightly against my arm as if to ensure I was still in one piece. "Are you okay?" he asked, his deep voice laced with concern.I nodded, brushing a loose strand of hair from my face. "I'm fine, Max. Really," I assured him. My voice was steady, though my adrenaline was still coursing through me. I didn't miss the way his jaw tightened, a muscle ticking as he silently assessed the situation."Milana, you went too far," Magnus's voice cut through the tension. His tone carried both frustration and something else-something almost desperate. He stood next to Riana, who was leaning against him, her face pale and her once-polished appearance now a shadow of its former glory.I raised an eyebrow at him, my lips curving into a smirk. "Did I? • Contract Love With Alpha   Chapter 79 : Attack

Milana’s POVThe shrill pitch of Riana’s scream cut through the tranquil garden like a blade, drawing every pair of eyes in our direction. Whispers and murmurs rippled through the crowd as they turned to watch the spectacle unfolding before them. I didn’t flinch or falter, my gaze fixed on her as she stomped toward me with fury etched across her delicate, arrogant features. Riana always carried herself as if she were the center of the universe, her confidence built on years of entitlement and manipulation. With her perfectly styled updo and designer gown clinging to her every curve, she looked every bit the queen of her own delusional world. But to me, she was nothing more than a thorn—a nuisance that pricked but never truly hurt. Her sense of superiority had always grated on me, but tonight, I welcomed it. She had made her move, and I wasn’t about to back down. Her voice trembled with rage as she screamed again, calling me names and throwing accusations that barely registered in my m

Milana’s POVThe evening air in the garden was cool, carrying the faint scent of blooming roses. I turned at the sound of approaching footsteps, expecting perhaps Daisy again. Instead, my breath hitched. Standing there, bathed in the silvery glow of the moonlight, were two men I knew all too well—Lewis and Magnus.A chill crept up my spine as my gaze locked on them, though I quickly masked it with a cold glare. Of all the people I could have encountered tonight, these two were the last I wanted to see. The weight of their presence was suffocating, like a shadow stretching across the moonlit garden.Lewis’s sharp eyes raked over me, dissecting me with a look that felt invasive, as though he could uncover every thought in my mind. There was something unnerving about the way he stared—intense, calculating, as if I were a puzzle he desperately wanted to solve. His demeanor was far from warm or fatherly, despite his earlier claims of being my blood. Instead, it was laced with a possessiven

The rich green hue complemented my skin tone perfectly, bringing out the subtle warmth in my complexion. Max had chosen it with his usual impeccable taste—fitted at the waist to accentuate my figure, while the skirt flowed down in a cascade of silky folds, brushing lightly against the floor. The neckline was modest yet alluring, with just enough to hint at elegance without being overly revealing. Every detail of the dress was designed to make a statement, from the intricate stitching to the delicate shimmer that caugh
