(Aiden’s POV)

“You’re gone for only a month, Aiden.” Sasha placed the coffee cup on the table. “You’ll be in her apartment before midnight.”

I was still upset with her and Aaron because after promising Jessamine I would not leave her side, Sasha called me for something urgent. I could not blame them because it was important… No, it was of high priority after my team found some errors in the prototype in the model that we will release in two months.

The twelve-hour flight seemed to be the longest flight ever in my life, and even flying in my private plane didn’t do any justice.

“Your dishonesty gave Aaron some leverage, you know,” she chuckled, leaning on the backrest of her seat, drinking wine. “And he will use that against you if you don’t tell Jessamine the truth about you. At least tell her you’re Adam Knight, and she’ll understand why you must leave occasionally.”
