Chapter 64 - The story

Hazel POV

“Why is everyone telling me to be patient, and to trust him, and to be open-minded, but no one tells me anything? I am scared, I don’t know what to expect, and I keep having this bad feeling that I am going to lose him,” I blurt out, and Everly shakes her head while she breaks some eggs into a bowl.

“He would never hurt you on purpose”, she says, and I shake my head as I place it between my hands.

Everly and Theo left not long after I finished eating and had a small nap. I really needed it, and now I feel a little bit better after having a shower. I walk back into the bedroom to find Elliot sitting on the edge of the bed without the IV on his arm. His body glowing from the sweat, but he is still sweating a lot; maybe his body trying to get rid of the toxins from the drugs. I still can’t believe he used heroin. I shake my head slightly, pushing those thoughts away.
