"You're too late. She is far from your reach now." My phone buzzed, after hours of combing the train station. The phone slipped from my hand, and I cursed under my breath.

“This can't be happening,” I muttered, clenching my fists. The realization hit me like a blow to the face. We have been played again!

“What's the plan now, Alpha?” Dee asked, her eyes searching mine for answers. I took a deep breath, trying to regain control of the situation.

“Let's hear from Peron. He might have useful information from the Luna,” she handed me the phone after dialing his number.
