“Really?” Ginny grinned and wore a profound look on her face. “But I heard Joan crying, saying that she saw her child in there.”

Mona frowned. She asked coldly, “Do you like to poke your nose into people’s affairs? From what perspective are you asking the question?”

She was a guest of the house, yet she always overstepped the boundaries. She might be a guest but deep down, she was an immoral thief.

“Alright. I guess I overstepped my boundaries.” Ginny shrugged. She had one more glance at the abandoned house further away. She refused to believe that Mona was uncertain about a huge secret being hidden inside.

Mona glared at Ginny. It seemed like Ginny’s knowledge of the abandoned house was limited for now.

“Why are you here?”

“I’m taking a walk.”

“There are a lot of places you can walk here, and you chose to come here to an abandoned building?”

“I’m strangely adventurous. I heard it’s haunted, so I wanted to have a look.”

Mona pursed her lips. “Be my guest. I’m out.”
