As he was unwilling to say anything, Thaddeus did not waste any words and pretended to be deaf. That was his answer.

Mona turned around disappointedly and walked upstairs. That was as expected, but it did not matter anymore. She would look into her mom herself.

Thaddeus also followed Mona upstairs. He initially wanted to follow her into the same room so they could sleep in the same bed. However, before he could even set foot in the room, she slammed the bedroom door shut. Thaddeus was given the cold shoulder.
