Gabe

I had been lying awake for the last half an hour, staring at my ceiling. Aubrey was sound asleep and snoring next to me. I wondered if what I said to her last night about officially dating was the right thing to do. Yes, I was a little drunk, but not wasted enough to blame what I said on my drunken ass. I turned my head to look at her and sighed. She was beautiful, and I liked her more than I should, more than I ever believed I would. But for us dating? Would that even work? I don’t know if working together and dating would be too much.

Ahh, I don’t fucking know! I need to work it out, though. Aubrey may not even remember me suggesting it. She was way drunker than I was. She began to stir, so I swiftly diverted my attention away from her. I was expecting her to wake, but instead, she rolled into me and snuggled in. She wrapped her body around mine. I did plan on getting up

Aubrey I don’t know why I got as pissed at Gabe as I did. I should have known he didn’t mean what he said last night. If he never opened his damn mouth, things would be different right now. I would still be in bed with him. I was up for trying to date, and I thought he was too, but now I wonder if this is still all a game to him? When did I even start liking him like this? I know I liked him a lot because if I didn’t, what happened at his wouldn’t be getting to me as much right now.I need a shower, coffee, and more sleep. The cab arrived at my place. I paid him and rushed inside. I stripped down and went straight for the shower. I switched it on and stepped into it. I rested my back on the wall and closed my eyes in the hope that the shower would wash my worries away. I ran my fingers through my hair over my face.We had such a good time last n

Gabe I was in a great mood as I made my way to the office. I usually hate Monday’s, but today I was feeling good after the weekend. I sure didn’t expect the weekend to go how it did. I am happy that I grew a pair and went after Aubrey.I came in early on purpose to see Aubrey because she left early this morning. I came with coffee. I knew she was here because she texted me to say. I smiled at everyone as I made my way through the building. They all seemed taken back with it but smiled back.I chuckled to myself and went in the direction of Aubrey’s office. I glanced in and made sure she was alone. I knocked lightly and waited for her to tell me to come. I grinned, opened the door and stepped into her office.“Good morning, beautiful,” I chirped.“Hey, handsome,” she beamed.

Aubrey I was trying to get ready for my and Gabe’s date, but it wasn’t going well. Why? Because he decided to show up an hour and a half earlier than planned, he won’t leave me alone in the best way possible! “Gabe, how do you expect to get ready with you harassing me?” I giggled. He had been overly needy. I don’t know if that is the right word I am looking for, but he has been sweet and affectionate since the weekend. It was strange seeing him that way, but I liked it. “Sorry, I will behave now, well, if you give me another kiss,” he smirked. “You said that half an hour ago. Then kiss led to us falling into my bed naked, and I had to take another shower, so I am not sure if another kiss is a good idea,” “I promise it will only be a kiss, and then I will go and sit the living room out of your wa

Gabe Aubrey and I had arrived back at mine after our dinner. It had been a good night, even if it did take her a little time to get comfortable. First course and a glass of wine, she relaxed completely.“That food was amazing,” she gushed as she slipped her shoes off.“Yes, the chefs in there are incredible,”“Thank you for taking me. Just don’t make a habit of it,” she giggled.“I can’t make any promises,” I winked.Aubrey laughed and shook her head. So, I tell her to make herself comfortable on the sofa until I get us a drink—scotch for me and a cosmopolitan for my lady.“Thank you, kind Sir,” she grinned as I gave it to her.I took the spot next to her and switched some music on for bac

Aubrey I was sitting in my office doing some work. Today had been a quieter day. I was working on an up-and-coming project. It was next in line after MV, but I wanted to get a start since Gabe wasn’t in today, and we were ahead with that MV project anyway.I got distracted by a knock at my office door.“Come in,” I called out.The door opened, and someone stepped in that I didn’t know.“Are you Aubrey?” he asked, and I nodded. He came all the way in, and I realised he was a delivery guy.“I have a delivery here for you,” he smiled. He came over to my desk and had a beautiful bouquet of flowers in his hands. There was a mixture and so many beautiful colours.“Who sent these?” I asked cur

  • Clashing with the CEO   Chapter Thirty Six - Gala (part 1 of 2)

I was getting myself ready for the gala tonight. I hated that I couldn't take Aubrey as my date. I knew she was going to look stunning in her dress and the fact that I couldn't pull her close to me and tell her how beautiful she looked. I knew other men would be looking at her, and I couldn't do anything about it, show them that she is mine. That will be the most challenging part of all, alongside the millions of questions that I will be asked because I don't have a date. I never show up alone to these things.I sighed as I looked at myself in the mirror. I don't want to go to this thing tonight. I groaned, sat down on the bed and lifted my phone. I found Aubrey's name on it and hit the call button. It rang one, two, three times, and she picked up."Hey, handsome," she chirped on the other end."Hey, sweetness, I think we should ditch tonight and find something more interesting to do,""We can't, we will both be expected, and we spent all that money on ou

Aubrey The night had been going well, and I was having a good time. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. Gabe and I have been stealing glances, finding ways to chat with one and another, but I still haven’t had that kiss he promised. There is still time for that. Zara was having a ball, fitting in better than I once. She was currently in conversation with a group of women who have done incredible for themselves, the types we should all aspire to be. I took the opportunity to slip away. I was on the search for my man. I didn’t get far before Mrs Hunter stopped me, Gabe’s mother. “It is Aubrey, isn’t it?” “Yes, Mrs Hunter, that is me. Please to meet you,” I smiled. “Please, it is Miranda,” she grinned, “And you too. I have heard only good about you from both Kay and my son Gabe,” “Thank you.

Gabe “Fuck!” I hissed.Aubrey jumped to the utterly wrong conclusion. Nothing was going on with Jules.“Forget her. She isn’t good enough for you anyway,” I heard from behind me, “You are supposed to be with me,”I swung around, and Jules was standing there looking smug.“How dare you? You know nothing about her. Aubrey is ten times the woman you will ever be. If anything, she is too good for me,” I snapped, “You and I are done for good! You had your fucking chance. You ruined it. Stay the fuck away from me, or I will ruin you,”Jules seemed taken back by my outburst. She went to speak.“No, you don’t get to talk. Go to hell, Jules,”She huffed and headed inside. I called my driver to come to get me. It would be quic

All the desks were in one large open area so everyone could work in the same space. Gabe and I had our office. We had a food bar set up with everything from cereal to candy, plenty of drinks, and there will be fresh food every single day. We wanted to make a space where everyone would be comfortable. Our staff will consist of forty people in total. I couldn’t wait to get started. The place is decorated with blue and white. It was modern in style. It is everything we pictured it to be. Ga

Gabe Aubrey and I had just arrived at the launch party in the limo.“Are you ready for this, my love?” I asked, looking at her.“As ready as I can be.” She smiled.I nodded and kissed her softly. She looked stunning tonight, and a part of me couldn’t wait to show her off to everyone. The limo door opened, and I stepped out first. The place was swimming with the pressed guests walking in, stopping for photos. The place was crazy. I knew it would be a big deal tonight. I just didn’t realise how much of a big deal.I turned around, offered Aubrey my hand. She smiled widely at me, took it, and I helped her out of the car. The moment she saw what awaited outside, she was like a deer in the headlights. She wasn’t used to all of this, not to this extent.“I am right

I was looking for a dress for the launch party next week. Gabe had his outfit, and it took him like ten minutes to find it online. By doing that, he believed he would get out of shopping altogether, but that didn’t go as planned for him.“Please don’t take all day, my love,” he pouted.“I won’t, promise, then maybe we can stop by the lingerie shop,” I smirked.“Mmm, yes, please…” he groaned.I would say that was a good compromise.
