GOLDEN LINE: Prey To Hunt

“Don’t you miss me?” Kier asked as soon as he entered the Ferrer mansion.

Kierson, who was reading a newspaper while enjoying his coffee, immediately grimaced. “You go inside and out in this mansion like this was yours,” he pointed out. “Anyway, I am sure you have news for me.”

Kier plopped on the sofa next to Kierson. “Serve me my tea first,” he demanded.

“I am the boss here, Kier.” Kierson put down the newspaper and looked at Kier. “Have you found out where they are hiding the slaves?”

Kier snorted. “You’re no fun!” he said. “I was in Paris and the men there were hot. Want to go back with me there to find a hookup?” he asked.

Kierson gets the gun behind him. “I was wondering who will be my first target today. I'm glad you’re here.”

Kier laughed hysterically as he leaned his head closer to the gun’s muzzle. “This will bring me to a divert heaven I've experienced so far.”

Without blinking, Kierson pulled the trigger.

The gun clicked but didn’t fire any bullets.
