Chapter 28: Playing With Fire

Sherly entered her condo, and the smile that adorned her face in Keisley's presence was fading away. He couldn't help but sighed as she entered her own space. Her demeanor shifted, revealing a cold and calculating aura as she closed the door behind her. The urgency of the text she received lingered in the air, and her eyes darkened as she reached for her phone.

She stared at the message from one of her people. The message from Maria, one of her trusted aides in the underworld, was brief but enough to raise alarms.

Her message was short, but it gave Sherly different feelings. If she does not handle it well, it will cause a lot of problems on her side.

"Hanna's movements are suspicious. Evidence attached." Sherly's fingers moved swiftly as she tapped on the screen, opening the attachments Maria had sent.

When she opened the attachments, her brows furrowed as a series of photos and documents unfolded on her phone. Sherly's frown deepened as she studied the evidence Maria gave her.
