Leah’s POV

“Hi,” He smiled. My mind was racing a mile a minute, and I almost melted at the sight of his gorgeous dimples! “I’m Sebastian, and you are?” I gaped for a moment. I had completely forgotten my name and must have looked utterly ridiculous in front of this Greek god! How was it even possible that he could be my mate?

“Uhm … Leah.” I finally got the words out. I had no idea whether I was frozen in fear or because his eyes turned the most brilliant blue I had ever seen. He had somehow calmed his wolf down enough that it retreated, but mine was purring so much that I almost couldn’t hear anything else.

“So, you are my mate?” He took a step back and gave me a once over and I blushed bright red. I had been driving in my incredibly hot car and must have looked simply disgusting!

“Thank you moon goddess!” I thought to myself. Of course, I would meet the most incredible man on the day I looked my absolute worst!

“Cat got your tongue, honey?” A female voice purred behind him and I suddenly glared at her as a soft low growl escaped when she leaned over his shoulder and was touching him. It took just a moment to realize that she looked a lot like him and a bright red blush crept over my cheeks when he introduced his sister, Emily. He quickly gave me the names of the rest of his people standing around, but I couldn’t remember any of them. Three black SUVs pulled up behind us, and I was about to explain that I needed to go when he placed his arm around my waist and escorted me to the front SUV.

“You aren’t going anywhere.” He whispered into my ear as he opened the door for me and a shiver ran down my spine. How was this even possible? Not once did I feel this strong of an attraction to Eli! He didn’t make me feel this unsettled yet completely at ease at the same time!

“But my car.” The door was closed before I could protest any further, but he slid into the back seat beside me on the other side and suddenly I was furious.

“What about my car?!” I demanded and he grinned.

“Don’t worry, my boys will take good care of it.” As if that should have put my mind at ease! I watched as we drove past and one of his “guys” slipped in behind the wheel of my beat-up old car. I had no idea where the hell we were going or if I would even be safe!

“Okay, now that I have your full attention. Tell me little wolf, where are you from?” He turned sideways in his seat and looked at me and I felt my cheeks burn bright red again.

“Oh, come on, don’t leave the poor guy hanging,” Emily laughed and turned around in the front seat to look at me.

“Goddess knows, he’s been waiting long enough for you.” She winked and I gasped. All of this was just too much! Oh, no! What if he found out I was mated to someone else? Okay, Eli rejected me. Did that mean I was no longer his mate? People finding second-chance mates was such a rare occurrence that some even believed it to be a myth! If I told them where I was really from, would they know that Eli rejected me? Would Sebastian even want a rejected mate that an Alpha didn’t want … Then it struck me … Sebastian was an Alpha … He would definitely have heard of Eli rejecting me!

“I’m a rogue. I don’t have a home. I was just passing through and didn’t realize I was in your territory when you caught me.” It had been the most words I had spoken since I saw them the first time.

“It speaks!” His sister exclaimed before turning around and looking out of the front window again, giving us some much-needed privacy. How were mates supposed to get to know each other if others kept interrupting each damn sentence!

“Surely, you weren’t born rogue.” Sebastian sniffed the air.

“As a matter of fact, you don’t smell anything like any rogue I have ever met.” He looked amused, and I breathed a sigh of relief when the car slowed down in front of huge black iron gates that opened automatically. Everybody’s attention turned toward the large building in front of us and I held my breath. I wasn’t sure how his people would react to their alpha taking a rogue as a mate. I wasn’t even sure if he was the alpha … He smelled like one and he carried himself like one, and the many bowing heads around us told me he was indeed the alpha. He put his hand on my lower back and guided me into the enormous building and the inside was just as beautiful as the outside with an enormous grand staircase right in the foyer.

“We stay on the top floor.” Sebastian pointed up the stairs.

“My sister’s mate is also my Beta and they stay on the third floor with my parents and their two rugrats. The second floor is for the Gammas, since we have so many important females in our ranks, we have a lot of Gammas and the ground floor is for the warriors.” He smiled and guided me to the first door on the right. “This is my office, and yours is right next door.” I watched in awe as he bent down and grabbed a pair of trunks from his desk drawer and I whipped around realizing again that the man was actually naked! I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to try and calm my racing heart when I felt his hands on my shoulders.

“It’s okay, you can turn around.” He was laughing at me. I was used to seeing naked wolves. All wolves were naked at some point either before or after shifting. It wasn’t something new, but what was new was what I was feeling seeing his muscles move! My insides turned upside down and it felt as if I was about to vomit! How was I ever going to mate with him, if I felt sick every time I looked at his naked body? I rolled my eyes at my own thoughts and my gesture didn’t go unnoticed as he cocked one eyebrow in amusement. “So, Leah,” He said my name as if tasting it.

“I know you are a rogue, and I know that you seem to be very shy …” It looked as though he was thinking. “What else should I know about you?” Then he looked right into my eyes and my wolf howled happily at the sight of the mischief in them.

“Well, what do you want to know?” I shrugged. What the hell was I doing here? I couldn’t entertain the possibility of …

“I guess the first thing would be if you would accept me as your mate.” He crossed his arms over his chest, leaned back on his desk, and studied me from head to toe.

“I … I don’t understand that. Why do wolves always have to jump into a lifelong commitment? Why can’t we take the time to get to know each other before committing?” I voiced my thoughts out loud and my eyes grew wide as soon as I realized it. I had always wondered about it. Sure, I wanted my destined mate just like every other girl, but then my dream was shattered when he didn’t want me and life changed for me. The way I looked at things completely changed and I ran away from home. Eli never officially chased me away from the pack. In fact, the bastard wanted me around. He just didn’t want me. I guess it’s because it’s destined by the moon goddess and people want to grab onto their happiness as fast as possible. They don’t want to waste any more time waiting.” He frowned slightly and I was surprised that he had actually listened to my question and given me a reasonable answer.

“Well, I can’t. I won’t.” I sighed.

“Can’t or won’t you accept me as your mate?” He stood upright and looked pained and I nearly swallowed my tongue watching his abs move … He really was a delicious piece of man and any girl would give her two front teeth to be with him, but I couldn’t. I was someone’s sloppy seconds!

“I mean I can’t rush into anything.” I was working on a plan to get out of here. All I needed was my car and I would be well on my way, and the only reason I needed my crappy car was because all my damn belongings were in it!

“Ah, so you will consider it if I give you the chance to get to know me better.” He smiled again and I was glad to be sitting down. My knees felt as if they went weak every time he smiled. Oh, goddess, what have I gotten myself into this time?! I nodded, unable to speak again. My throat was awfully dry and it felt as if my tongue was slowly swelling up. I was allergic to him! Could you be allergic to your mate? Never mind! I was allergic to the most handsome man I had ever met and that was that. There would be no touching him or I would blow up like a … A blow-up doll or something! It was a ridiculous idea, I know, but I had to think of some way to keep myself from just falling into his arms and professing my undying love. “Okay, I can live with that.” He grinned and held out his hand for me to take. “Let’s go for a tour, shall we?” He winked, but I kept my arms tightly crossed over my chest. As he opened his office door, his sister met us with an enormous grin and she bowed her head slightly as she giggled. She had probably heard the entire conversation!

“I’m happy to finally meet the woman who can put my dear brother in his rightful place.” She whispered next to my ear before disappearing. She had heard our entire conversation, I realized, and my eyes grew wide. Did these people have no damn boundaries? I nearly jumped when I felt his hand softly rest on my lower back as he guided me through the tour. My eyes darted all over the place to look for every possible exit, but it seemed there was only one … The front door. Now all I needed to know was where my damn car was.

  • Claimed   Chapter 2 - Family could be everything

Leah’s POVFor a moment, I wondered how it would feel to see Eli and his precious Jewel while I was standing in the arms of Sebastian, but I quickly wiped that stupid idea from my thoughts as I suddenly started to wonder what kind of pack took in a rogue just like that without any questions. Eli sure as hell wouldn’t have and then take them into the packhouse and show them all the weak spots.“Don’t even think about running.” Sebastian’s voice pierced through my thoughts as he pointed to a man who was walking closer. “This, my lovely little wolf is Carl. He will be your Gamma.” Sebastian smiled broadly as he hugged the man and I frowned. Only Luna’s had Gammas protecting them. Oh, goddess! Was he…? “This is the future Luna, Carl.” FUCK! He did! That was just perfect! He had basically told his Gamma that he had already accepted me, and I rolled my eyes.“She doesn’t seem to agree with you, Sebastian.” Carl laughed and took my hand to greet me, but Sebastian was fast. I mean, supernatur

  • Claimed   Chapter 3 - Differences

Leah’s POVLife in Sebastian’s pack is entirely different than life in Eli’s. For starters, the pack dining tables are packed out in such a way that there is no real division of ranks, whereas, at home, your rank is clearly defined by the table you sit at. The closer you were to the Alpha’s table, the more important you were. Emily showed me to the seat right next to Sebastian, and he held out the chair for me. Nobody had ever held out a chair to me before, which made me blush bright red. I was an omega for goddess’s sake, but I told them I was a rogue. I rolled my eyes internally at myself for being so damn hung up on rank. The food was brought out and everybody dug in all at once, which reminded me of home. There, everybody had to wait for Eli to fill his plate first before anyone else could touch the food. As if there wouldn’t be enough for the Alpha! People were happily talking, eating, and drinking, but I could feel their eyes constantly looking my way. I was sure that most of th

  • Claimed   Chapter 4 - A surprise visitor

Leah’s POVI thought it would be as easy as grabbing my keys and making a run for it, but boy was I mistaken! Not only did Sebastian keep an eagle eye on my damn keys, but Carl kept an eagle eye on my every movement. Over the next couple of days, I spent some time getting to know Sebastian’s family while sussing out how far Carl would go to look after me, and even when I thought I had gotten rid of him, he would pop up out of nowhere! The man was so good at his job, it was damn scary! The only times I didn’t see him was when I was in Sebastian’s care, so to speak. The rest of the time, he was there in the background. Somewhere. I was just starting to feel a little lost when Emily appeared to take me on a shopping trip. Her excuse was that she saw my bag of clothes and “no Luna in her right mind would be caught dead with only one bag of clothes”.To prove her point, she took me to the beta floor, and as we walked into the room, I must have looked like a shell-shocked baboon, gaping at

  • Claimed   Chapter 5 - Eli found me!

Leah’s POVSo, I wasn’t really going to tell them, even if they were the nicest people ever. I was ashamed. It was the first time I actually admitted to myself that I was ashamed that I was rejected. When I was a young omega, I daydreamed, just like all the other girls, about finding my perfect mate, falling madly in love, and living happily ever after. That daydream was crushed the moment my destined mate called me a useless omega. I still remember the ice running through my veins as shock set in. I waited in shock for him to say the dreaded words. “I reject you,” But he never did.Over the years that I had been hiding from him, I wondered over and over why he wanted me to go back home. I knew for a fact he would never leave his chosen mate. Not only would it bring shame to our pack, but it would also put the pack in danger of a war with her family. Many wolves would die unnecessarily, many important lives would be lost over one man’s greed.“What was the outcome of the meeting?” Emi

  • Claimed   Chapter 6 - A long road or the wrong road?

Leah’s POV I pulled into a motel parking lot fully intending to book in, take a shower, have something to eat, and hit the road within the hour, but I made the huge mistake of lying on the bed and closing my eyes just for a moment until the shower water heated up. I arrived just as the sun was rising and woke up just as it was going down! I was still so tired even after sleeping for just over twelve hours that I checked the map and decided I had come far enough on my first day. I could spend the night and hit the road early in the morning. I took a second shower and slipped underneath the covers. My head hardly touched the pillow and I was out like a light. I was up just before sunrise and on the road as it peaked out from behind the mountains. I knew this territory pretty well. I came here in the first month after leaving Eli. It was mostly wilderness and unclaimed territory and if I disappeared into the woods nobody would find me until I was ready to be found, but I didn’t want to

  • Claimed   Chapter 7 - Captured! Again!

Sebastian’s POV “Tell me I didn’t just hear you …” I held my hand in the air at the sound of Emily’s voice. “What’s done is done!” I growled, but I couldn’t look her in the eye. “Sebastian!” Her voice was filled with so much emotion that it cut right through me, and she sat down on the couch looking defeated. “Didn’t you lose enough last time?” Tears started to roll down her cheeks as the memory of what happened flooded my mind. Flashback The sound of the shot echoed throughout the room and I kept my eye on the target for a split second just to make sure she fell. I gave myself just a moment to take a deep breath before I needed to disassemble my gun and get out of there. I had done what those bastards asked of me. When I originally refused their orders, they took my mate prisoner and threatened to kill her, but now that I had done what they asked, they should return her unharmed. I never trusted the vampires, but I had no other choice but to ask for their help! As I rushed into

Leah’s POVI didn’t have to open my eyes to know that the two men were in the same room as me, and they were probably glaring at each other. How I wished I could just evaporate right at this very moment. I wondered if I stayed quiet and pretended to still be knocked out if they would eventually give up and leave, but for the moment, they were clearly not going anywhere and the air was getting thicker and thicker with tension. I heard the elevator ping and soon felt a needle in my arm. I instantly started to feel better and wished I could thank the doctor personally, but if I moved now my jig would be up and they would both bombard me. I just knew they would immediately demand a decision and the only decision I wanted to make was how the hell to get out of there! I didn’t want to see Sebastian’s disappointment and broken heart, and I sure as hell didn’t want to see Eli’s face in general! I almost burst out laug

Leah’s POV Eli wasn’t happy at the prospect of having a Gamma from another pack to look after me, but I just told him that either Carl would come with me or I would have a straightforward decision to make and that quickly put Eli in his place. I couldn’t understand why the man was so adamant to have me back until I walked through the doors of my old packhouse. “What the fuck is she doing here?” His mate shrieked from the top of the grand staircase and I nearly burst out laughing at the sight of her overly extravagant gown! Did she think she was going to intimidate me by wearing that? She looked more like she belonged in the corner, covered with tinsel than a Luna! “Please don’t make this any more difficult than it already is.” Eli quickly rushed to her side and then suddenly seemed torn as his eyes met mine. He had to prove to me that I was going to be his priority if he wanted me to stay. Walking down two steps toward me, it almost looked as if he was about to try and tear himself

Leah’s POV I was speechless! All of the wolves around my son had shifted completely or at least partially and they were in agony, but he was just standing there looking at them. I looked at the moon and prayed to the goddess one last time. She had to help him! She just had to! A tear rolled down the side of my cheek as I looked at the moon coming out from behind the trees. As the last of its rays finally shone down on all of us, our son let out a howl that shuddered the ground. He hit the floor on all fours as his body started to twist in the most uncomfortable ways and bones snapped into their new places. He howled again and the pain he was going through could be felt in it. The pack howled in reply to give him strength as he slowly changed into his new form. He wasn’t entirely a wolf, but he also wasn’t entirely human or a vampire. He stood up on his hind legs and his arms and hands, which were meant to be legs and paws, were still arms and hands, but they were black and covered in

Leah’s POVI nearly had a heart attack when Sebastian told me that Nicolas had contacted him and advised him that Beverly was still alive first of all, and secondly, those two were going to get married! I was itching to get all the details since I always felt horrible about leaving her behind with Nathaniel, but Sebastian was being a typical male. He didn’t ask! I couldn’t very well call Beverly up like I would a friend and tell her to dish! I had to just accept that she had hopefully finally found love and peace after what had been done to her.Elana had started to get up and walk about the top floor and I was almost convinced she was teasing her little brother because she could. I had never realized that I could love two people as much as I loved these two children of ours. I still kept a hawk's eye on our son. We had no idea what the hell was going to happen to him. Would he become a vampire or a werewolf or be both like his father? Nicolas had been kind enough to offer their help

Beverly’s POV“Beverly, I have to be honest with you before this goes any further.” I frowned. Great! I misread his signals and now he is going to send me to some forgotten palace where I wouldn’t know anybody and … “I can see the wheels turning in that pretty little head of yours and I can tell you that it’s not what you think.” He smiled, tucking a stray piece of my hair behind my ear before taking my hand and leading me into my bedroom. He closed the door behind us and locked it which kind of scared and excited me at the same time! I was surprised when he walked up to me and slipped his arms around my waist and I felt myself go a little rigid. I’d been disappointed far too many times in my life. I have no idea why I even thought this time things could be different!“I’ve fallen in love with you.” He smiled and I felt my cheeks turn bright red as I gaped at him with wide eyes.“I’m sorry.” I was swallowing air like a damn fish out of the water! “I don’t think I heard you right. Leah’s POVTime flew by and before I knew it, I was on our bed screaming my lungs out, pushing a watermelon through a hole that wasn’t made for it!! I looked at Emily with wide eyes, thinking this was happening way too fast. I thought we might still have time to get to the hospital. Wasn’t that the way things were meant to work? But noooo! Our son had to start coming out as the elevator went down, so as soon as the doors opened on the ground floor, Emily pressed the button to take us back up. There was no time to wait for the doctor. We had barely made it to bed when I shouted that I needed to push. Sebastian wasn’t even here yet! He was out patrolling the borders with the warriors!“One last big push, Leah.” Emily looked as though she was feeling my pain as I shook my head.“NOOOO! Beverley’s POVNicolas didn’t seem so bad, but I didn’t trust anything with fangs or canines or any supernatural strength anymore. They all found a way to lie to you eventually. Even that werewolf girl I met a couple of months ago. She sat there and did nothing while I was dragged off to be killed by Nathaniel! I wondered what the chances were of getting revenge but quickly pushed that idea to the back of my mind. If what happened to Eli was an indication of what happened when you wanted revenge, then I didn’t want any part of it! I thought for a moment of joining Nicolas and his coven, but I would never be able to feel totally at home.“There is one more option.” His voice interrupted my line of thinking. “But I don’t think you will be interested, since it was originally Nathaniel’s pet project. We have, however, found that there is still a need for it.” He fro

Beverly’s POVI had been there for a couple of days and the only people I saw were the guard and the girl who brought me food and clothes. I tried asking the guard what they planned on doing with me and who the hell was in charge around here, but he would just shrug and mumble before leaving me locked away in my room again. At night, I could hear whispers in the passages, but I could never make out who it was or what they were saying. I had half expected someone to come in here and interrogate me, but nothing. It was a total communication block and I was slowly losing my mind.I might not be entirely human anymore, but surely, they could allow me out of this room once in a while. They were feeding me so I couldn’t think that they planned on killing me. Whoever the hell they were. I could smell that they were vampires. I’d learned how to tell the difference thanks to the very short time I pretended to like Nathaniel. Yeah

Leah’s POVI was so damn excited about bringing Elana home that I felt nauseous the entire time! That combined with my morning sickness made me feel physically green, but I must have hidden it well because, thankfully, nobody asked me if I was okay. We had a picture session at the orphanage as Elana said goodbye to the staff and again as we arrived home. It had been a pretty exciting time just to bring her here, and we walked into the main dining room where the pack was waiting. The food smelled incredible as usual and we made our way around the room introducing everyone to our little girl. She was laughing and my heart sang each time her beautiful laugh rang through the air. It was probably one of the most prized moments of my life. After a little while, Elana started to yawn and I laughed, informing everyone that they were welcome to carry on with the party but that it seemed as though our little guest of honour needed a nap. If I understood the sire line correctly, as soon as he died, his entire line would die with him! Thanks to his brilliant plan to make them all hybrids! I groaned as he pulled out a chunk of my hair and I turned as fast as I could to face him again. Eli’s POVI waited until I was sure all my people were in the great hall before I walked in. As I took my place at the podium, I stood looking at all of them.“For years now, we’ve had to take whatever our neighbours dished our way. Alpha Sebastian even stole my mate and claimed her as his own when he found out that she was my destined mate.” I knew the stories had been circling around the pack so it wouldn’t be news to any of them to find out that Leah was mine! “Then, he sent someone to kill our Luna!” I could feel the anger building up in the room and I knew that last statement was going to be enough to get everyone on my side. Even the people who would normally vote against a war wouldn’t be able to do it this time, since our Luna was killed by Sebastian. I didn’t need proof of this. I knew they would believe me because of what I was about to tell them. “When I wouldn’t give him our entire territory, he had me kidnapped.” I pretended to be unable to look at them, but I was slowly
