ZED's POV.

“Took you long enough; I really believed you didn't want to see me trivia.” I whispered. Seeing how cautious and worried she was.

She finally let go of my hand.

“Sorry… I didn't mean to,” she apologized, and I felt a sharp stab of pain in my sides hearing those words.

I was no fool; I could see she had changed. And the only reason she chose me out of all three men was because she knew how much I had hurt her. And I was indebted to her with total necessity to oblige. She had no choice.

Neither did I.

“Sorry? Trivia, you and I would hold hands all the time. I know I screwed up real bad, but you've changed too. Ever since you woke from that coma, you've suddenly become distant.” she shot me daggered gazes.

“Are you saying it's my fault then? Are you telling me to sleep with your guard? No. Loving your personal guard, and then sleeping with him, then proposing a loveless marriage to me is my fault.“

She asked in a sharp tone, curt in her speech, making me burdened by more gu

TRIVIAS POV.My blood went cold as my eyes remained fixated on that of Erebus. Foolishly, I had let myself go ranting foolishly to zed in an attempt to push him away from me, but surprisingly, I was pissed. I didn't care. I didn't give two damn about it. He could rant about it, or whine for all I cared it didn't matter, I loathed them all for all they did to me “I slept with your brother. What difference does it make? Am I expected to beg? Didn't you say it was just sex? It makes no difference if you sleep with me or I sleep with someone else. So stop acting like it's a big deal; you forcefully make me as well.” I retorted before storming over and walking past him.“I what!” He asked, holding a firm grip on my arms, bringing me to a halt. An irritated scoff escaped my lips as I yanked my arms off his clutch. Why was he acting all saint for? He had spoken down on me and mocked my foolishness after we had sex. Why would he care what I had done with his brothers or what not.“You mark

EREBUS POV“Lord Erebus!” A pack warrior called out, dashing towards us in haste.“Such impudence. How dare you storm in recklessly?” I asked, yelling out my frustration from the new blow I've been dealt thanks to Terry.“I'm sorry, Lord, but it's lady trivia. She's in trouble!” The man had chanted, and I glanced back towards Terry, who had grabbed the warrior by the neck.“What rubbish is this about? Stop spewing baseless talks and talk! he yelled, gaining my attention and that of Zed“Earlier, she walked out of the mansion and headed through the back gate. The men there had asked her what she was up to; she had asked that we didn't follow her; we only obeyed because she seemed to be crying and needed her personal space... but after a while we were worried about her and went only to see a letter with her hairpin on it,” the warrior had explained, reaching forth the letter, which I yanked from! On it were boldly written the words“Oeil pour oeil,” it wrote.I tilted my head, staring

TRIVIAS POV.A sudden migraine, clouded sight, and cold. Those were the first things I felt as I pushed my orbs open slowly, a splitting headache followed after while I groaned from displeasure, turning my gaze, and trying to recall where I was.“Peekaboo bitch," a voice screamed right out after Me startling me in the process. I flinched backwards, fear eating away at my senses. My heart raced in my chest to see a hooded fellow standing before me, I glanced around to see that I had been tossed to a cellar. Attic? Storage room?.I couldn't say, but judging by the layout, it looked dirty and odd.“Blame this on Terry, okay?” The voice had asked again. I swallowed a lump, and I shook as I glanced around once more before her eyes beneath the mask.“you are…”“A girl,” she responded, cutting into my words while lifting the mask off her face.I'm stunned; she looked pretty—downright beautiful; she had a pretty smile. And the most attractive-looking lips I had seen, her eyes, hair, and n

TRIVIAS POV.“It's important; there's a breach!” The same person who had spoken with me earlier retorted, storming into the room on cue. “I don't like changes in my plan; what exactly is this about?” Terry asked, a scowl settling on his face as he spoke, resorting to him pulling away from me.“It's …well.” leaning even closer ro him she had whispered something to him; I wasn't certain what it was. I could see how pissed he became and fear vividly flashing through his orbs."When... are we to change locations? she asked again. However, he shook his head, waving her off.“Take the men,... I'll find something to do about it.” His response throwing me deeper into confusion.“I don't understand.you can't stay here? There's no one to protect you,” she argued. In the split of a second, I could tell she cared so much for him, and it made me jealous for a moment.“Leave, it's my order,” terry chanted. My heart skipped beats hearing him speak; it was serious. She bowed, saying nothing else

TRIVIAS POV.My body remained stiff for a while, pain stinging at my sides all over, fuck! I couldn't even die right.“Look who's awake.” A voice which I knew too well called out towards me, a voice which caused my body to shook from fear, the voice of the same man who abused me for years, the man who had put me to misery, the voice of the man who made me regret being born—the man who killed me.“Don't lay still and play pretend now; come on stop the act; I can tell you are awake.” He called out again, drawing a sharp breath. I pushed my eyes open, and I'm immediately struck with a wave of pain and panic.“No… no… This can't be happening." I stuttered, glancing around. I felt a quick surge of energy pump through my nerves. In haste I stood to my feet, my heart sinking deeper into my chest.“This can't be possible.” I retorted; his pair of hazel eyes stared directly into me; he looked as confused as I.“What act are you putting on? What's the act about for fucks sake?” He asked.. Grum

TRIVIAS POVSomething went wrong; I screwed things over; I fucked up bad! I paced around on the patio, glancing at the sky, it was dusk and apparently Embry had spoken the truth. I did pass out, I did go unconscious for a week, and nothing else had happened after that.“Easy girl, so you mean to tell me we died? You died?” Maya questioned, pestering me; she was my wolf, yet she barely believed a word I had explained to her.“Fine! Even my wolf thinks I'm crazy." I retorted, the words rolling off my tongue bitterly, pain eating away at me, or was it regret perhaps?“Common, do you know how dumb this sounds? Are you even listening to yourself? You know how worried I was when you were unconscious?” She asked, causing me to stop. She was right; let's say it was all a night made, say it was a dream of mine, or some twisted sick ass magical stunt. I want to be certain what the deal was. But I knew I would rather find myself than wait here, thinking about the impossible for the rest of my

EMBRY'S POV.Strong tension filled the gap between us as we both stared into each other's orbs. Why was my heart racing so fast for her? She wouldn't back down; her eyes remained locked into mine, and for a moment I felt heat rush to my cheeks.I pulled away from her, clearing my throat awkwardly while she had a bitter scowl settled on her face. She loathes me. I had gone too far even this time.“I don't know what pretty ideas you've been getting, nor do I know who this man is, but don't go around with other wolves... Give yourself some class; you are still the luna;save name and face; don't drag yourself through the mud,” I complained before turning away from her.She said nothing, yet I could hear her panting heavily, breathing aloud, and I had seen anger flash through her orbs. SIMONES POVMy hands trembled on the steering as my gaze rested on the iron wrought bars, the gates I ran from, the gates I could walk through, the life I was given but thoroughly abandoned.I swallowed a lump in my throat as I drove past it. The security men seemed to be confused by my presence. A man dressed in black pants and a blue shirt approached me with a frown.“Are you missing?” he asked. I bit against my lower lip. Lots of thoughts running through my mind! Shit! I was no longer a trivia from that life; what would I say? Who would I describe myself as?. I'm not certain if Zed even looked the same or if I matched faces with whoever I wanted to.“Common miss, are you missing? “ he asked again, approaching my window; slowly I let it down before turning to him with a faint smile.“ good… Tell me, are you missing mam?” he asked for the third time, I could tell he was gradually becoming unsettled and running low on patience.“no.. EREBUS’S POVThe room was quiet, except for the faint scratch of pen on paper and the occasional crackle of the fire. I leaned back in my chair, rubbing a hand over my face as I stared at the endless reports spread across the table. Running a pack was hard enough, but merging three packs and the Lycans’ territory into one? It felt impossible some days. But I didn’t regret it. Not for a second. Our decision to merge the packs had been a bold one, but it was the right one. Together, we were stronger, safer, and better equipped to protect our family. I glanced out the window, the sprawling landscape of our territory bathed in the soft light of the afternoon sun. This was home now. And at the heart of it was Trivia. The thought of her brought a faint smile to my lips, even as exhaustion tugged at me. She was the reason we worked so hard, the reason we pushed ourselves to the brink every day. “Still working?” Zed’s voice broke through my thoughts. I turned to see him lean

TRIVIA’S POVThe ocean stretched endlessly before us, its waves sparkling like a sea of diamonds under the golden afternoon sun. The air was warm but carried a light breeze that smelled of salt and freedom. Everything about this place felt surreal—perfect in a way I’d only ever imagined. We were staying in a secluded villa perched on the edge of a cliff, its large windows and open layout making it feel like the sea was part of the house itself. The honeymoon had been Zed’s idea, though Erebus had insisted on finding a place as breathtaking as this. Embry, true to his nature, had made sure every detail was flawlessly planned. “Relax, Trivia,” Erebus said, lounging on the oversized outdoor daybed as he sipped a glass of wine. He was shirtless, his toned chest glistening in the sun, and his green eyes sparkled with mischief. “You’re making us nervous with all that pacing.” “I’m not pacing,” I said, pausing mid-step. “You are,” Zed chimed in, his golden eyes crinkling with amuseme

TRIVIA’S POVThe morning sun streamed through the windows, bathing the room in a soft, golden glow. The air hummed with a mixture of excitement and nerves as I stood before the mirror, adjusting the delicate lace on my dress. It was beautiful—soft ivory with floral embroidery that cascaded down the skirt like a meadow in bloom. The dress wasn’t flashy, but it was me. And today was ours. A knock at the door broke through my thoughts. “Come in,” I called, my voice trembling slightly. The door creaked open, and Erebus stepped inside, his usual smirk replaced with something softer. He was dressed in a dark green suit that complemented his eyes, his hair styled in a way that made him look almost regal. “Wow,” he said, his voice low as he took me in. “You look... perfect.” My cheeks warmed, and I turned back to the mirror, fussing with a loose strand of hair. “I don’t know about perfect. My hands won’t stop shaking.” He crossed the room in two strides, gently taking my hands in

ZED’S POVThe grass beneath us was cool, opposite to the heat still radiating from our bodies after the fight. The silence between the three of us felt less like an absence and more like an understanding. There was a weight to it—a shared acknowledgment of everything that had brought us here. But then Erebus broke it, as he always did, his smirk returning full force. “We stink.” Embry shot him a look, his lips twitching as if suppressing a smile. “You stink. The rest of us are fine.” “Speak for yourself,” I said, running a hand through my hair. Sweat clung to my skin, the fight leaving me sticky and in desperate need of a shower. Erebus stretched lazily, his grin widening. “Well, if we’re all in agreement, let’s do something about it.” He was on his feet in a second, offering a hand to pull me up. I took it, and Embry followed without a word. The cool night air bit at my skin as we made our way back to the house, our bare feet quiet against the earth. Inside, the silence o

TRIVIA POVThe dining room felt lit by the soft glow of candlelight that bounced off the polished wood table. The four of us sat together, plates of food spread out before us. It was rare to have such a quiet evening, just us, no pack business, no outside worries. I cherished these moments more than I could ever express. Erebus was on my right, lazily twirling his fork through a pile of roasted vegetables, his sharp eyes scanning the room like he was still expecting trouble to walk through the door. Across from me, Embry leaned back in his chair, sipping from a glass of red wine, his stoic expression softened by the faintest hint of a smile. Zed, to my left, was the only one eating with real enthusiasm, his plate already half empty as he reached for a second helping. “This is nice,” I said softly, breaking the comfortable silence. Zed turned to me, his lips quirking into a grin. “It is. We should do this more often.” “We should,” Erebus agreed, though his tone carried a touch

EREBUS POVThe ride back to the territory was filled with a comfortable tension, the kind that lingered between people too connected to let words truly hurt but too proud to leave certain feelings unspoken. Embry’s voice rose above the hum of the car, his tone sharp yet tinged with exasperation.“A *hug*, Erebus? You *hugged* him?” he repeated, as though saying it louder would make it more absurd. “How do you expect me not to be jealous when you pull something like that?”Zed snorted from his seat, running his fingers through Trivia’s hair as she leaned against him. “I’m more worried about how long you two were alone. It’s Alaric, after all.”“Both of you are impossible,” I muttered, gripping the wheel tighter as the road stretched endlessly before us. “It was just a hug—a *friendly* one, mind you. What was I supposed to do? Push him away?”“Yes,” they both replied in unison.I laughed despite myself, the sound cutting through the charged atmosphere. Trivia stirred slightly, her lashe

ZED'S POV The frown on my face hardened as I cut into the bacon served on my plate. I had long lost my appetite the very moment Ethan had asked for his own food and settled into the chair.I didn't want to seem like an annoying, insecure, and overprotective lover at first, which is why I didn't want to seem way too forward. I tried holding my sanity and anger, but I just couldn't avoid it.I couldn't afford to hold it in anymore, seeing how often Ethan stole glances at Trivia, who was way too busy minding her food to observe my obviously annoying brother keeping his gaze pinned to her.Even after I had given him a stern warning to clear off her and told him she was my mate, he still would not stop gawking shamelessly in her direction; it was making me sick and causing me such irritation I never had to withhold before. Filled with anger, I slammed my fork and spoon against the table, dressing all of their attention towards me while I glanced in direction.“Are you here to eat? Or her

ZEDs POV.It's been two weeks since the full moon, two weeks since we had our fight, two weeks since we last spoke of the distance between us. I wasn't entirely sure how to act or what to wish for, but I believe I already had enough. She snuggled even closer to me, and a smile settled on my lips as I watched her push her eyes open lazily before a yawn eased through her lips.“Good morning, my love." I greeted her, and she smiled faintly before pulling even closer to me.I wanted times like this to last forever—times like this when we had not a single care in the world other than being in each other's arms—this was all I wished for.“What!” She asked, giggling while my gaze remained pinned on her.“Nothing, is anything wrong?” I asked again, and she smiled faintly before letting out a gentle laughter.“You keep staring at me; it makes me anxious, you know?” She asked. I leaned forward to settle a kiss on her temples and down to her lips.“It's just that you look way beautiful each time
