SIMONES POV

My hands trembled on the steering as my gaze rested on the iron wrought bars, the gates I ran from, the gates I could walk through, the life I was given but thoroughly abandoned.

I swallowed a lump in my throat as I drove past it. The security men seemed to be confused by my presence. A man dressed in black pants and a blue shirt approached me with a frown.

“Are you missing?” he asked. I bit against my lower lip. Lots of thoughts running through my mind! Shit! I was no longer a trivia from that life; what would I say? Who would I describe myself as?. I'm not certain if Zed even looked the same or if I matched faces with whoever I wanted to.

“Common miss, are you missing? “ he asked again, approaching my window; slowly I let it down before turning to him with a faint smile.

“ good… Tell me, are you missing mam?” he asked for the third time, I could tell he was gradually becoming unsettled and running low on patience.

“no.. I'm a traveler, and I ran low on gas; this appeared

TRIVIA'S POV.Our gaze locked briefly, although I couldn't fathom what was going on in his head; his gaze was cold.“What's with this commotion?” He asked in a daring tone, his voice carrying a strong baritone that demanded respect to it, I swallowed, flinching backward for a moment. “my necklace was stole, the jade one you gifted ro me and this lowlife maid had the audacity to look me in the eye and fucking lie about it.” She complained, gloating inwardly from anger. Zed had passed me more skeptical gazes, his frown deepened by the passing moment; he was filled with hatred, I could tell, but I had no intention of whiling away time and falling for his rage “Everyone else, leave this instant!” he ordered curtly. They all did, scurrying out of the hall in haste, leaving both I, the spoiled brat, and he alone in the house.“The necklace, where is it?” He asked, This wasn't right. He didnt Recognize me, and I outed myself on the outside. I wasn't from around here, and I'm being accuse

ALPHA KING ZED'S POV.Something about her felt familiar yet seemed so distant. Was it the way she called out my name?, or was it how fast my heart tends to beat each time I gaze in her direction? Or was it how hasty my wolf became as soon as I walked through those doors? She knew who I was; I knew nothing about her.“Will I die?” She asked, and I couldn't help but let out a stare down at her; even in a time like this, that's all she worried about.“No, now answer: have we met before?” I asked again; she glanced at and away from me. I could see her biting on her lips once again; she was hesitating; she knew who I was. I seemed certain about it now. I pressed my lips firmly together, trying hard to think.I knew I had not seen her before; I was good with faces; she ooked to be… a bane of my existence, it seemed like she tamed me. I had never been this calm with anyone through my life; always, each day, I had done nothing but remain paranoid, prancing about and keeping my guard up. Yet

TRIVIA' S POV.They weren't in love? The child wasn't his?!.Embry is here?!!.“Does this have anything to do with you?”Zed asked, glancing back to me with a smug grin strapped to the sides of his lips… He was damn attractive, his blue orbs narrowed into slits, the way the smirk stretched into his lips, his squared chin, pointed lips, dimples…. Damn! This man was smoking hot!.Why had I not taken careful note of him? Perhaps because I believed he was really into Jeremy, but a straight version of Zed was something to die for... His body build was close to perfect; his arms seemed to have gone through strenuous workouts to have such cool, heavy biceps. His chest broad enough, his collarbone, everything about him was perfect; I wanted this man back so bad! I was a bloody fool to forgo a masterpiece like this.I bite subconsciously on my lower lip after locking gazes with him. I've been caught staring, but I cant shy away; backing down would only make me feel way weirder than it ought t

EMBRY'S POV.My resolve was broken; I was in a state of shock; my anger had seeped away from me in haste, and fear sank in.How long had she been in an affair? How long had she been with the alpha king, and why did it have to be Zed of all people? We both had history; We loathed each other down to the ends of death. Did she know Zed and I dated when we were quite younger?.Although he keeps up the facade of being straight now, we both know we had lots of sex in our early twenties.“Say something, explain this to me!” I asked in a low yet cold tone; she seemed to regret being caught, her eyes flickering, yet she didn't seem to be remorseful about coming around here.I waited for her; I watched her speak with the guard. They had turned her away, which meant their relationship was public; of course it wouldn't be! She was my wife for fuck's sake! And that bastard seemed to be married , so why on earth did she sneak in and cause me to pull myself out of my disguise.?Funny fact: I had all

TRIVIA'S POV.My world had crashed onto my feet, every fiber of my being letting loose, going insane hearing those words slid so heavily through his lips.My silence was my defeat; what he had spoken was a fucking misunderstanding; Zed and I weren't in any affair of a sort, but like that wasn't bad enough... Zed and Embry?.“How did... how did I not know?” I asked, holding my breath, mumbling the words beneath my breath; the words had come out no higher than a whisper.“I'm sorry.” He apologized, passing me a pitiful gaze.“Sorry?” I asked; my head had been whacked by his words, and I was trying so hard to get the words together, trying hard to make sense… yet nothing has come far…This was indeed driving me nuts.“Sorry for? Go on”. I stuttered; I watched as he drove past our gates, the guard pushing them open, the harshness of my reality dawning on me; he pumped the brakes, turning off the engine.“Come with me… Let's handle this mess inside, or here. You can make the choice.” He off

SHEILA'S POV.I paced around in the room, my hands folded over each other, anger easing into me.Why was he not back yet?! What exactly did he want? What more?.I couldn't lose him now, not after I had fucking put myself through all those just for him! For starters, I had four years acting like a cool-headed friend of Trivias just to get more information about Embry, although I had him right around the fifth year after marriage he had been cold at first.ignoring me for trivia. However, things happened to fall right into place for her failures to get pregnant, or perhaps she had no idea I constantly fed her with herbs…teas…especially tonics all just so she could always have a very premature miscarriage.Fuck! I wouldn't be Luna if this kept up. I came around Etherised at the edge; I felt way better; I felt as though I had achieved all when Embry had kicked her out and gave me a ring, proposing to me, yet he wouldn't rip off that Luna title from Trivia, while I remained to be on his

TRIVIA'S POV.Seeing her die would certainly bring me so much joy; I wanted the bitch dead and gone, not that I intended to go back to Embry once Sheila died, but I just hated her fucking guts,She lied to me for years, smiling in my face. I had given her lots of things to think and relax about; I was her friend, and she was my confidant.Sustaining bruises every now and then from embry I explained to her; she brought me gifts, some tea herbs to get pregnant; sometimes she claimed there was some magical trinket, oh A bloody fool I was, listening to her; only if I had known better, it would seem a to be too late now, but I could only say I regretted it.Not seeing her cheap lies with my two eyes until the betrayal had set in, however, if anything, I never wanted the child to be hurt, and now I feel he is better off then I felt he was. the maid rushed in with haste, calling for Embry. We had just finished crying and sought solace in each other's embrace, none of us saying anything to the

TRIVIA'S POV.“Be his mistress?” I asked myself, struck with surprise; I said nothing, my lip parted but the words remained stuck down my throat, my eyes were pinned on him. Was he making a casual joke? He did seem to be having his fun, but how could he be for real?“a day is all you have to think about.” He asserted, throwing me deeper into surprise, I said nothing for a brief moment, silence ensuing between us both. Was he insane? Why would he offer to marry me if he still had Hayley there? What he said. was all Embry had said even the truth?. But what if It was Then it merely means they wanted to use me; Embry claims Zed would only be proposing to me just because he knows how hurt he would be when he finds out.“And Hayley?” I asked, trying to sound as confident as I could. “Would she swallow it! She looks like the type to throw a fit about stuff like this.” I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.“She'll accept it; it's my order. With time she'll get used to it.” He responded

EREBUS’S POVThe room was quiet, except for the faint scratch of pen on paper and the occasional crackle of the fire. I leaned back in my chair, rubbing a hand over my face as I stared at the endless reports spread across the table. Running a pack was hard enough, but merging three packs and the Lycans’ territory into one? It felt impossible some days. But I didn’t regret it. Not for a second. Our decision to merge the packs had been a bold one, but it was the right one. Together, we were stronger, safer, and better equipped to protect our family. I glanced out the window, the sprawling landscape of our territory bathed in the soft light of the afternoon sun. This was home now. And at the heart of it was Trivia. The thought of her brought a faint smile to my lips, even as exhaustion tugged at me. She was the reason we worked so hard, the reason we pushed ourselves to the brink every day. “Still working?” Zed’s voice broke through my thoughts. I turned to see him lean

TRIVIA’S POVThe ocean stretched endlessly before us, its waves sparkling like a sea of diamonds under the golden afternoon sun. The air was warm but carried a light breeze that smelled of salt and freedom. Everything about this place felt surreal—perfect in a way I’d only ever imagined. We were staying in a secluded villa perched on the edge of a cliff, its large windows and open layout making it feel like the sea was part of the house itself. The honeymoon had been Zed’s idea, though Erebus had insisted on finding a place as breathtaking as this. Embry, true to his nature, had made sure every detail was flawlessly planned. “Relax, Trivia,” Erebus said, lounging on the oversized outdoor daybed as he sipped a glass of wine. He was shirtless, his toned chest glistening in the sun, and his green eyes sparkled with mischief. “You’re making us nervous with all that pacing.” “I’m not pacing,” I said, pausing mid-step. “You are,” Zed chimed in, his golden eyes crinkling with amuseme

TRIVIA’S POVThe morning sun streamed through the windows, bathing the room in a soft, golden glow. The air hummed with a mixture of excitement and nerves as I stood before the mirror, adjusting the delicate lace on my dress. It was beautiful—soft ivory with floral embroidery that cascaded down the skirt like a meadow in bloom. The dress wasn’t flashy, but it was me. And today was ours. A knock at the door broke through my thoughts. “Come in,” I called, my voice trembling slightly. The door creaked open, and Erebus stepped inside, his usual smirk replaced with something softer. He was dressed in a dark green suit that complemented his eyes, his hair styled in a way that made him look almost regal. “Wow,” he said, his voice low as he took me in. “You look... perfect.” My cheeks warmed, and I turned back to the mirror, fussing with a loose strand of hair. “I don’t know about perfect. My hands won’t stop shaking.” He crossed the room in two strides, gently taking my hands in

ZED’S POVThe grass beneath us was cool, opposite to the heat still radiating from our bodies after the fight. The silence between the three of us felt less like an absence and more like an understanding. There was a weight to it—a shared acknowledgment of everything that had brought us here. But then Erebus broke it, as he always did, his smirk returning full force. “We stink.” Embry shot him a look, his lips twitching as if suppressing a smile. “You stink. The rest of us are fine.” “Speak for yourself,” I said, running a hand through my hair. Sweat clung to my skin, the fight leaving me sticky and in desperate need of a shower. Erebus stretched lazily, his grin widening. “Well, if we’re all in agreement, let’s do something about it.” He was on his feet in a second, offering a hand to pull me up. I took it, and Embry followed without a word. The cool night air bit at my skin as we made our way back to the house, our bare feet quiet against the earth. Inside, the silence o

TRIVIA POVThe dining room felt lit by the soft glow of candlelight that bounced off the polished wood table. The four of us sat together, plates of food spread out before us. It was rare to have such a quiet evening, just us, no pack business, no outside worries. I cherished these moments more than I could ever express. Erebus was on my right, lazily twirling his fork through a pile of roasted vegetables, his sharp eyes scanning the room like he was still expecting trouble to walk through the door. Across from me, Embry leaned back in his chair, sipping from a glass of red wine, his stoic expression softened by the faintest hint of a smile. Zed, to my left, was the only one eating with real enthusiasm, his plate already half empty as he reached for a second helping. “This is nice,” I said softly, breaking the comfortable silence. Zed turned to me, his lips quirking into a grin. “It is. We should do this more often.” “We should,” Erebus agreed, though his tone carried a touch

EREBUS POVThe ride back to the territory was filled with a comfortable tension, the kind that lingered between people too connected to let words truly hurt but too proud to leave certain feelings unspoken. Embry’s voice rose above the hum of the car, his tone sharp yet tinged with exasperation.“A *hug*, Erebus? You *hugged* him?” he repeated, as though saying it louder would make it more absurd. “How do you expect me not to be jealous when you pull something like that?”Zed snorted from his seat, running his fingers through Trivia’s hair as she leaned against him. “I’m more worried about how long you two were alone. It’s Alaric, after all.”“Both of you are impossible,” I muttered, gripping the wheel tighter as the road stretched endlessly before us. “It was just a hug—a *friendly* one, mind you. What was I supposed to do? Push him away?”“Yes,” they both replied in unison.I laughed despite myself, the sound cutting through the charged atmosphere. Trivia stirred slightly, her lashe

ZED'S POV The frown on my face hardened as I cut into the bacon served on my plate. I had long lost my appetite the very moment Ethan had asked for his own food and settled into the chair.I didn't want to seem like an annoying, insecure, and overprotective lover at first, which is why I didn't want to seem way too forward. I tried holding my sanity and anger, but I just couldn't avoid it.I couldn't afford to hold it in anymore, seeing how often Ethan stole glances at Trivia, who was way too busy minding her food to observe my obviously annoying brother keeping his gaze pinned to her.Even after I had given him a stern warning to clear off her and told him she was my mate, he still would not stop gawking shamelessly in her direction; it was making me sick and causing me such irritation I never had to withhold before. Filled with anger, I slammed my fork and spoon against the table, dressing all of their attention towards me while I glanced in direction.“Are you here to eat? Or her

ZEDs POV.It's been two weeks since the full moon, two weeks since we had our fight, two weeks since we last spoke of the distance between us. I wasn't entirely sure how to act or what to wish for, but I believe I already had enough. She snuggled even closer to me, and a smile settled on my lips as I watched her push her eyes open lazily before a yawn eased through her lips.“Good morning, my love." I greeted her, and she smiled faintly before pulling even closer to me.I wanted times like this to last forever—times like this when we had not a single care in the world other than being in each other's arms—this was all I wished for.“What!” She asked, giggling while my gaze remained pinned on her.“Nothing, is anything wrong?” I asked again, and she smiled faintly before letting out a gentle laughter.“You keep staring at me; it makes me anxious, you know?” She asked. I leaned forward to settle a kiss on her temples and down to her lips.“It's just that you look way beautiful each time
