DOMINIK's POV

“I am sure you know why I have called you here today.” The empress said as she gazed at me from behind her desk.

“Say what you want. I do not have time to sit here and listen to you beat around the bush.” I snapped at her, my patience growing thin.

The empress exhaled and frowned at me.

“You hurt Aldrean. One of our own and the elders are very displeased with it.”

I snorted and folded my arms.

“And? Is that somehow, supposed to scare me?”

The empress slammed her fists on the table, her eyes burning with anger as she shot up from her chair.

“How dare you speak like that when you are the one who is in the wrong?!”

I just gazed at her firmly, not saying a word.

She closed her eyes, exhaled and slowly plopped back down on her seat, maintaining her calm and professional demeanor.

“I spoke to the elders. The wounds you inflicted on Aldrean were not severe, so I was able to sway them and get them to agree on letting you stay here.” She said and folded her arms.

I scoffed.
