Chapter 193

CLAIRE's POV

Seeing as I had no other choice, I summoned up courage and began to crawl down the hole. The further I sent down, the more darker it became. I jumped down from the ladder and looked ahead of me. I could not make out anything, since the whole area was pitch black.

"Luminous," Martha chanted.

A small yellow sparkly ball of light appeared in her palm and it illuminated the area around us. From what I could see, we were surrounded by thick iron walls.

"Let us hurry up," Martha said and began to walk down. I was a bit scared, but I followed her regardless.

As we walked down, the only obvious thing I could see was that the area where we walked in was a tunnel, like a sewage that was not in use anymore. Small rats and critters scurried past us, startling me in the process.
