LUNA ASTERBELLE'S POV
Out of all the people who gathered for this event, I was probably the only one who had doubts about Yve's response to what Dawn ordered her to do. Back when we still had our peaceful lives without those wolves bothering us, Yve always told me how much she despised vampires, since they sucked blood out of nowhere and she imagined them to be merciless. So hearing her say that she'd rather stay as a half-blooded vampire made it impossible for me to believe."Are you sure about that?" Dawn asked for clarification, his fingers pressing deep into her skin. "This is the only chance for you to be mortal and return to the human world where your safety is guaranteed," he added to persuade her.Yve nodded as she attempted to get out of Dawn's grip. "Let go, King Dawn," she demanded with little to no emotion.Dawn ignored her request as he held her even tighter than he had earlier, then he gestLUNA ASTERBELLE'S POV The alarm clock that continuously rang above the desk that was beside the bed woke me up. As I was about to reach its head for it to stop, I touched someone's hand. I instantly opened my eyes, only to see that it was Dawn. I smiled at the thought that he might have been there the whole time, since midnight. "What are you doing here in my room?" I asked, rubbing both of my eyes with my fingers. "You're not supposed to barge into my room, even if this is your territory," I added. "We're scheduled to meet up at the underground organization at eight in the morning, Luna. Don't tell me you already forgot about it?" Dawn beamed with one of his eyebrows slightly raised. I pressed my lips together at the same time that I scratched my forehead, along with an awkward laugh. The scheduled strategic meeting for the upcoming war has totally slipped through my mind. I was too
LUNA ASTERBELLE'S POV With my heavy breaths, I gulped when I sensed how massive the impact of the Blood Moon Pack's barrier was the exact moment that we stepped inside their territories. This was exactly how I felt when I first entered their pack house when I was adopted by the Asterbelles. I didn't like how the first impression I had about them wasn't that welcoming to me. "I think they already know we're here," I said in a low voice. I was with Dawn and Jazpher. We left Yve behind the back lines, together with the mafia. They all swore to me that they'd defend her like their own lives were on stake and that if something bad happens to her, they'll kill themselves on the spot. On the other hand, the Crimson Moon Pack's youngest, Yuki Holmes, was still in the midst of convincing her brothers to cooperate with us and that we should call it quits and just team up once and for all. "Of c
LUNA ASTERBELLE'S POV Mr. Asterbelle was the worst among all of the people I've ever encountered in this lifetime. He wasn't the type of person who'd be merciful against anyone, even if they were related to each other or not. He was willing to kill anyone who planned to get in his way, especially those who had the intention of destroying the Blood Moon Pack—the pack that never had any flaws or records of defeat. The circulation of my blood has temporarily stopped, making it seem like I am lifeless. It was the only way I could think of to make my father release me from his strong grip, but my scheme was easily found out. "Pretending to die from a mere choke isn't going to work on me, Luna. Are you taking me as a fool?" he asked. I let all of my remaining strength flow to the lower part of my body as I stroked him in a single blow, which resulted in my continuous gasps for air while he effortlessly stood b
LUNA ASTERBELLE'S POV My movements began to get slower unintentionally. I forced myself to rush back to our hideout, and when I was finally out of the pack house, I stumbled upon the sight of my companions being beaten and slashed, marking their deaths. I tightly gripped onto my hair as I pulled it, bothered by how I endangered the lives of those innocent people who sacrificed themselves to protect my dearest friend, Yve. I know I shouldn't feel guilty about this, but I just can't help it. They wouldn't have died if Yve was at least on the same level as me or if she had remained a half-blooded vampire. "Stop!" I screamed my lungs out as I utilized my agility to take all of the Blood Moon Pack's troops down. They were immobilized by a single hit of my horn's luminosity. "What happened here? Why are you fighting already?" I asked them, but they just groaned in unison. Yve glanced my way, and her eyesight i
LUNA ASTERBELLE'S POV "I heard you loud and clear, Luna." Jerome's voice echoed inside the room, which was soon followed by the sound of explosives outside the mansion. "Stand up; don't show your weak side to that type of man, Luna. You should only shiver and cry when I'm the reason," he said as he made his entrance. Jerome broke through the walls and all of the barricades that Brian set up a while ago. It was the first time after all those past months that I've seen Jerome shift with his wolf. My heart throbbed as I met his gaze; those red eyes of his never ceased to ignite the spark within me. All the wolves I previously met had similar black eyes, and Jerome was the only one different, excluding myself. "You're persistent. How did you even break free from my prison realm?" Brian questioned Jerome, but he didn't bother to respond. I instantly felt lighter in the next few seconds, as if I hadn't gone th
LUNA ASTERBELLE'S POV The numbness, both internally and externally, made me motionless. My mind couldn't thoroughly process what went wrong and what was going on. Jerome clearly had a plan to escape from the Blood Moon Pack together with Mrs. Asterbelle, so he surely knew that she was still sane a few moments ago. "Why is this happening to me?" My tears streamed down my cheeks as I could no longer keep this sadness to myself. "Why? What did I do to deserve this hellish life?" All the emotions I've repressed for so long exploded, and all of a sudden, my horn illuminated a crimson light. It was directed to a single window where I saw Yve, which made me wonder what she meant to say with those continuous wave patterns. Jerome carried me; my waist was enveloped by his entire left arm, and his hand reached my back. I was literally floating, and he did the same with my mother, even though she kept on resisting.
LUNA ASTERBELLE'S POV On the night of the same day, the six of us headed over to the Crimson Moon Pack, together with some of the clan members who had survived earlier. The security wasn't that tight, but Jerome and I still chose the path we took from where we left off. My mother stuck with Yve and Joseph, while Jazpher accompanied us a few meters away from our position so that he could warn us of any incoming ambush. "Luna, stay in the dormitories' safe zone," Jerome told me, which I instantly refused. Yuki wasn't able to arrive at the Dark Shadow Clan, so we had no other option but to invade their pack instead. Everything in our surroundings made my shoulders stiff, as if there was someone or something sitting on them. Jerome must've also sensed it, since he kept on placing his hands above his shoulders. A few minutes after a long and tiring journey, we finally reached the dormitories, which were still
LUNA ASTERBELLE'S POV Even the joint forces of Jerome and Yuki were still inevitable against the alpha of the Crimson Moon Pack. In less than half an hour, the two of them were already badly injured, and only I was kept safe from Shin's rampage as he didn't want to hurt me. Nero ordered a few among their butlers to assist him in dragging Jazpher and Yuki inside their mansion, while Shin and Nero were the ones who were guarding Jerome and me. We were all heading to the same place, and the only thing that I could hope for for now was that Mrs. Asterbelle, Yve, and Joseph should at least remain hidden, and if they could, they should just flee from this pack. We proceeded over the same dungeon where Shin had kept his fated mates before. They simultaneously pushed us inside each cell and separated us accordingly. My cell with Jerome was just parallel to Joseph's. "Miss Asterbelle!" A person screamed my name,
