Mason just stares at me. His eyes wide as I explained that she had already shifted.

“That’s not possible. It’s not a full moon.”

“I am well aware, Mson. But I know what I saw. She ripped Kyra’s throat out.”

“Kyra’s dead?” He has a small smile on his face. He had wanted to kill her from day one.

“Her body is in the forest. I need someone to get rid of it.”

He nods his head. “Are you concerned? You know, with Elsa already being able to shift.”

I didn’t want to admit it. But he was the one man I truly trusted.

“I haven’t even had a chance to prepare her. It’s strange too, she hasn’t really spoken about it.”

“I’m gonna go and talk to her. Make sure the body is gone within the next hour.”
