Adam's POV

As the moon concealed itself behind the clouds, I observed the white wolf as it disappeared into the darkness. Unable to shake off the strange feeling it evoked in me, I decided to shift back to my human form.

"Who was she?" I muttered to myself. Her eyes seemed familiar, as if I had encountered her before.

Earlier, on our way to the convenience store, I heard a distress call from a girl in need of help. When I arrived at the scene, I found the white wolf courageously fending off three attackers. I assisted her momentarily, but as the enemies fled, so did she. What was the reason for her sudden departure?
