[Eskaal’s pov]

As I drove back to Zilver's place, my mind was swirling with thoughts and doubts. I couldn't shake the feeling that maybe he had ditched me when it came to Meagia. It didn't make sense why he would suddenly refuse to let his own sister accompany me in the first place. My heart sank at the possibility that he might have abducted her to throw the blame on me.

As I parked the car near Zilver's house, I took a deep breath while controlling my rage, trying to calm my racing thoughts. I knew I had to confront him about this, to find out the truth about why he did all that if he was behind all that. Stepping out of the car, I walked up to the front door and without hesitating for any moment I barged inside.

Inside, I heard some shuffling on the right side and soon enough Zilver appeared as Lily followed him to the hall. His expression was guarded, as if he was expecting my arrival. But perhaps not that soon. My hunch grew stronger that he might have known something which I did

[Meagia’s pov]I sat in the backseat of the car, feeling the weight of exhaustion settle upon me after a long day. As I leaned back, my senses suddenly jolted to life when a strange and unsettling scent filled the air. It was like nothing I had ever experienced before, and it sent shivers down my spine making me immoveable. I couldn't identify its source but it was enough to render me immobile, like a deer caught in the headlights. Before I could process what was happening, the car door flung open and a towering scary looking burly figure loomed before me. Fear gripped me as I looked into his intimidating, frightening eyes. I tried to move, to escape, but it was as if the strange scent had taken away all control over my body. The man's stern face softened slightly as he saw my distress, and he assured me that he meant no harm. Despite his words, my heart pounded wildly, uncertain if I could trust him. Why was he here? Who was he? And why did my gut feeling tell me to become vulnerabl

[Meagia’s pov] I groggily opened my eyes, my mind still clouded with sleep caused by some unknown puff of smoke. Blinking several times, I tried to make sense of my surroundings once again. It was an unfamiliar place, and I could faintly recall how I ended up there. My heart raced as I realised I was lying on a soft mattress, surrounded by every accessory a pregnant woman might have needed. The room was warm and cosy, with gentle sunlight filtering through the curtains. I gently touched my belly, feeling a mix of confusion and wonder. Why was I brought there while being pregnant? How could that be? I searched my memories, but everything was a blur. What I did not understand was the possibility of knowing the name of that person who abducted me. Next to the bed were various items I would need during pregnancy: prenatal vitamins, baby clothes, a pregnancy journal, and even a baby ultrasound picture. My head was spinning with questions, and my emotions were running high. Was I t

I needed answers and I mustered the courage to confront him, demanding to know who he was and what he wanted from me.His intense gaze met mine, and he wore a mysterious yet reassuring smile. Kaldir's voice was surprisingly calm as he assured me that he meant no harm. “I am glad that you are feeling well now and are ready to talk. As I said earlier, my name is Kaldir and you are my rightful lycan mate.” He claimed that I was his lycan mate, a statement that left me utterly baffled. Lycan mate? What did he mean by that?As he approached cautiously, I couldn't help but feel a mix of fear and fascination. It felt like the ground beneath me was shaking, and I struggled to make sense of it processing all of that. "You can't expect me to just accept all of this without any proof," I retorted, trying to cling to a sense of normalcy amidst the emotional chaos. "You could be making all of this up to manipulate me into accepting you. This all could be untrue and you would be lying about this nullified bond too." My mind was in turmoil as I still tried to process all the information Kaldir spoke about after I had yelled my piece. The revelation that my brother Zilver, the alpha of the Grimclaw pack, had been keeping crucial details from me about my true nature and the dual bond which shook me to the core. [Eskaal's pov] I had absolutely no idea how Meagia disappeared out of nowhere but I was also aware that something was being hidden from me. How could Zilver know something but keep on hiding from me? There was no way that her life was in danger and her brother sent her somewhere. I was her rightful mate and the father of the child she was carrying, there was absolutely no point of sending her away from me. "I need to find Meagia," I said to Zilver while we stood in the front lawn. "Why are you hiding her? Is she in danger?" I could not shake off that feeling which was causing a distress within me about the whole thing. She was away from me and I had no clue if even she was safe or not. Amidst the shadows that lingered in the corners of my mind, a torrent of emotions surged, threatening to engulf me. The weight of uncertainty bore down on my heart, and a bitter unease settled within my soul. "I'm sorry, Eskaal," Zilver replies. "I can't tell you where she is. It's for her own safety.

My world had turned upside down all of a sudden and there was nobody I could trust now anymore."We will figure it out together," Zilver responded with an assurance which I truly hated, while placing a hand on my shoulder.
