As Kaldir continued to speak, my mind was in turmoil and I couldn't believe the information he was revealing about Eskaal and my true identity as a lycan's mate. It felt like the ground beneath me was shaking, and I struggled to make sense of it processing all of that.

"You can't expect me to just accept all of this without any proof," I retorted, trying to cling to a sense of normalcy amidst the emotional chaos.
