51 - Deceiving both verbally

[Eskaal's pov]

"I thought you had moved on from her. But it seems you are dead set on ridiculing me and the reputation of our pack. All because of whom? Just for a wolfless skunk who can give you nothing but a bad name."

My father was not willing to listen to me at all, for him Meagia was an utterly bad choice to be with. Though I had plans for Meagia's acceptance by the pack, as her mate it was my duty to make everyone accept her.

I had already set my plan in motion to ensure that Meagia would not suffer anymore as she had. But perhaps my father’s intentionally loud voice was enough to put her on the spot. I knew what the old man had been doing and I could not let him succeed.

The old man admitted that his words were harsh, his tone tinged with concern as he addressed me again. "I had hoped you would find someone more suitable, someone who aligns with our family's values. Someone who has a wolf and is befitted to be a luna."

I reached out with a smirk placing a reassuring hand
