Third Person POV

Draven drove as fast as he could, ignoring everyone and everything in his way. He sped ahead without breaking speed. Soon enough, he was at the gate of his estate.

He parked inside and immediately got out, running to his suite where he left her. He barged into the room. “Noah! What the hell happened?" His voice boomed across the room.

Noah who had been expecting him gently stood up and handed him a piece of paper. He took it from Noah and read it over and over again.

"What does she mean by good-bye? She has no one or nowhere to go; why did she leave? Her family won't accept her back," Draven said. He walked around agitated, trying his best to figure out the intentions of Hazel .

"Noah, tell me everything you noticed about her; don't leave out a single detail." Draven said walking around, he couldn't sit down, not right now; he needed her so badly.

"Well, when I saw her, she did seem a bit off; there was no spark in her eyes, no light whatsoever; someone who had giv

Third Person POV"What?" Hazel blurted out. She looked at the man who had saved her life twice and how he had just asked her to marry him right off the bat like that. Feeling overwhelmed and confused, she stuttered. Words evaded her, sentences obscured from her thoughts. Draven watching her with amusement threw his head back and laughed. He left her and laughed till his heart's content; at some point he even began choking on his laughter. Never had he laughed so hard in years, and for something so foolish.Hazel watched him laughing, and her annoyance grew with every passing second. Part of her wanted to run back into the sea and drown just to waste all his efforts, but another part of her was joyful, that in some weird, twisted way she had brought joy to someone else."Laugh all you want, it's not funny," she kicked at him with her bare naked feet. She stumbled away and managed to stand up. He still chuckled, finding her reaction funny. He placed his hand on her for a moment, try

Third Person POVAdrian sat confused by what had just happened: why was she upset, why did she leave, and most importantly, why did she pour him a cup of water? He honestly couldn't get it.He took off his robe, went into the bathroom, and washed his face clean of the drowsiness he had been feeling ever since he woke up. He went back inside and took a cup of whisky to clear his head.He picked up his phone and called Thalia . The phone rang for a few moments before it got busy; he couldn't be more confused. Was she upset that he was no longer the Alpha, or did she perhaps think he had lost my authority at the company? He understood that they had made so many plans together about how to take the company to even greater heights by combining the assets of both packs, but now he wasn't so sure.He had to let her know that he still had complete control over the company, and that's what really mattered in the end, wasn't it? He called her number again, waiting in silence for her to pick up,

Third Person POV"Draven” Hazel turned around in shock; she hadn't heard him approach her, and it had been deathly quiet. It was almost scary how he showed up, like he had always been there."What are you doing sitting on the ground?" Draven asked her, and she realised she had fallen after she heard his voice. She scampered to her feet, trying not to make a fool of herself. "Excuse me," she said, then turned around, facing him as if she just remembered why she was upset with him. He saw the changes in her face as he saw her go from confused and embarrassed to scowling at him."What's the matter?" Draven asked."What's the matter?""You're asking me what the matter is?" She pointed at the painting of Adrian and said, "That's the problem, Draven; you've been using me, both of you!" She shouted suddenly, infuriated.Draven cocked his head in amusement watching her pull her hair in anger; it almost made him laugh. A low chucked escaped his lips before he could speak again."And what

Third Person POVHazel paused to look at the text again; she needed to be sure who had just texted her. She read the name again to be sure she wasn't seeing things; it was Adrian. Why had he texted her? What did he want? Numerous questions flooded her mind as she sought answers she couldn't find; perhaps he wanted to disgrace her even more. She ran into her room and locked the doors shut. She needed to be alone for a while longer. She dropped her phone and thought of her situation. She was affiliated with both her uncle and nephew, and they seemed to want her for completely different reasons. She stopped herself from grabbing her phone numerous times, and when she eventually did, she didn't know what to reply to him. She knew she was in love with Adrian—that much she was sure of, but she liked to think she cared about him. But after he had abandoned her in front of her family, she felt the opposite since then. Now him texting her made her get mixed feelings she wasn't sure how to p

Third Person POVAdrian picked up his phone expectantly; he hadn't gotten a message from Hazel, and it had been well over two hours. He thought she might have missed it or something happened to her, but he knew deep down that she wanted nothing to do with him any longer. The thought of that ached his heart. He dropped his phone, looking around for something that could distract him. He considered calling Thalia, but ever since his outburst at her, they hadn't spoken to each other, and neither did he feel the need to.He wanted to look for Hazel, search for her even but he remembered that night, how he had abandoned her, he was arrogant enough to think she would come back if he let her go, how wrong could he have been.Without having any other choice he picked up his phone and called the one man he would rather not have anything to do with, the phone rang, the more it rang the more he wished he wouldn't pick it up."Oohh, if it isn't my favourite nephew," Robin's said over the phone. Third Person POVHazel sat down on one of the chairs in the room; she hadn't heard him, right? She had never seen or met a witch before, and now it just had to be after she accepted that she would get married to Draven that he told her that. She realised that she knew too little and risked her entire being in the hope that he would help her, which wasn't much, by the way. She calmed herself down, breathing in and out as much as she could; she didn't have any clothes to carry her luggage. She considered the idea of running away but remembered what Alpha Draven had said to her after he saved her. With a resigned sigh, she got up and walked towards the door. One thing has been bugging her mind, and that was how he found out that Adrian had called her. She didn't feel the need to tell him or anyone when he texted her, but asking her indirectly about it was just intense. She opened the door and walked into the dark hallway. She couldn't find Draven in the hallway, nor could she hear him

Hazel followed Noah from behind; she kept wondering what the two of them meant by saying he wasn't going to be alright; she was really bothered about him this time but had no way off expressing it."Noah, are you sure there isn't a problem?" She asked once more, and Noah turned around in a gentle smile as he faced her. "There isn't a problem that the master wouldn't be able to solve," he replied. She decided to keep quiet and stop asking questions; it seemed no matter how she asked, she wouldn't be told. Noah took her up the stairs and guided her into a massive bedroom; the place was much too lavish and rich in taste to be just a room."This is your room, ma'am." Noah stood at the door, bowing slightly. For a brief moment, Hazel forgot about her worries; her fingers traced the bed, feeling the texture of the soft linen used. This had to be the most lavish room we had ever been in. "It's beautiful, Noah. Thank you," she said. Noah simply smiled and bowed his head even lower, then he tu

Hazel backed away from Noah; she looked at the broken window, then back at Noah, "You're joking, right?" She stuttered, refusing to believe it."That can't be; you're joking, aren't you?" she asked in disbelief. Noah shook his head slowly before he stood up; he seemed a bit pale as the moonlight reflected his skin, giving him an ethereal appearance."Shall we? I shall explain everything in your room," he said gently. He understood that she was in a state of shock and disbelief; who wouldn't be, especially if the man who asked you to marry him tried to kill you on the same day."What happened to him? How didn't he know it was me or you?" Hazel asked; she didn't know how long Noah had been with Draven, but she knew it was long enough, yet he couldn't even recognise his own friend, much less her.The scene played out in her head; she would have been dead if Noah hadn't come and out of nowhere to save her, for once she was happy for him constantly always being around her.Although she won

Third Person POVHazel watched as Adrian closed the door as he left; his words rang in her mind, 'What did he mean by that?' Somehow she felt betrayed by his words. Now he was going to completely join forces with Thalia and tell them everything that had happened here. Knowing Thalia , she was going to take full advantage of it. She felt her chest tightening, her hands grew weaker as the excitement slowly faded away, and she gritted her teeth in frustration. Even more so, she didn't know why she felt the way she did, but it vexed her even more."So what now?" Alpha Draven asked her; she looked at him while he sat down, still staring into the night."I don't know really; I didn't think this far ahead, I guess," she replied. Draven chuckled, then turned back to her to face her. He stood up, gradually walking towards her bed."I knew you'd say this.""Well, I did agree to help you with your revenge, but we aren't in a rush; baby steps, Hazel," he said to her, giving her the assurance t

Third Person POV"No""She wouldn't go so far," Adrian said to himself. He still didn't want to believe it and refused to accept it; it felt better to believe that his uncle had manipulated her into marrying him; that felt easier to accept."Is that what you really think, Adrian?" Draven asked Adrian; his voice was calm and low, without doubt or hesitation. He finally turned around, facing Adrian; he stood taller than him, more domineering and intimidating. But Adrian stood his ground; he could let himself be intimidated every damn time he faced his uncle. Draven slowly walked past him as he spoke. "You don't believe me? That's fine," he spoke. "Come with me." As he walked further away from the dark corridor where they stood, unwillingly Adrian followed his uncle, walking behind him at a given distance."Where are we going?" He asked Draven; he waited for a moment before answering. "To hear the truth," he replied.'The truth?' Adrian thought to himself, He did want to know both their

Third Person POV"Hazel!" "Hey, Hazel , can you hear me?" Draven shouted; he stood up from the altar at the silver light that slowly faded and rushed towards her. She carried her up and checked her pulse; it was moving but very slowly, almost not there. He turned to Sara, who sat down in a chair, breathing heavily; she had removed her cloak and other enchantments and wore simple attire. "Sara, what the hell's happened to her?" He demanded.Sara looked at him and just noticed the body of Hazel lying on the ground. She ran towards her in a rush, taking her hand. "She's cold, very cold," Sara said. "And what does that mean?" Draven asked; he still felt exhausted by the strain of the ritual, and he felt out of sorts, but right now he couldn't rest until he made sure Hazel was okay."It means we'll have to take her to the hospital or your mansion, anywhere, to get her treated," Sara said as she packed up a couple of things lying on her table."And what about you?" Draven asked as he lif

Third Person POVAdrian followed them from the crowd; he wouldn't dare shout, but he tried to get their attention, any of them. He couldn't believe that the both of them had betrayed them like this.He had trusted his uncle completely; he never expected his uncle to mate Hazel, the same woman that he had told him he was searching for. He clenched his teeth as he glared at his uncle. He wanted to rush at him, attack him if need be. He wanted to know why his uncle would do something so evil to him. What reason could possibly justify his actions?Thalia stood by his side as she held her mouth with both lips. Her uncle and mother stood there, transfixed, staring in horror as the girl they rejected got married in front of them.Adrian heart felt heavy with pain and betrayal; he was sure Hazel knew that was his uncle; he felt so sure that they had both planned this as some ploy to get back at him for abandoning her; his heart ached greatly as he watched them."Hazel!" Third Person POV“Excuse me?" Adrian asked. He was sure that he heard wrong. He took the invitation card from Robin's hand and read it. He read it again to make sure he wasn't seeing things."How?" He asked; the question wasn't directed to anyone in specifics; he just felt a bit overwhelmed. His uncle was getting married, and he had just found out today. He felt a bit betrayed that his uncle couldn't tell him as he was his nephew."Aren't you happy for me?" Draven asked his nephew; he could see the mixed feelings in the eyes of his nephew, the confusion and hurt, maybe even a hint of betrayal because deep down, he knew Adrian still blamed him for the death of his mother. He couldn't blame the boy for thinking that way; after all, he had been too weak to save her, but now Adrian just thinks he was trying to replace the memory of his mother, to find someone younger and possibly even replace him. There were no limits to how much an endangered man can think. Draven was aware of this, but

Third Person POVDraven walked out of the priestess's house. He got into his car and saw Hazel sitting at the passenger seat, staring off into space. He didn't know what to say, nor did he have anything to say; all that mattered was that she would help him break his curse. He started the car engine and began driving away from the house. He remembered the last words that the witch had told him; he needed to make sure everything was alright and hoped nothing went wrong. They drove in silence till they reached the house. Hazel came down from the car and followed behind Draven as they both got into the mansion."Why didn't you say anything like this?" Hazel asked him as soon as he got into his room; she knew to expect at least this much when dealing with women."Because I'd rather not," he replied to her. He didn't feel the need to have a conversation like this when everything had already been settled."Does Adrian know about this?" She asked him; for the first time Draven thought about

Third Person POV"Good day..." Hazel greeted the strangely normal woman who stood in front of her; she thought she had imagined her eyes glowing for a brief moment."Please, come in," she gestured at the both of them. Draven stepped after a few moments, and Hazel followed after. She caught a glance of the woman smiling at her; the thought made her feel uncomfortable."My name is Sara; I am the priestess of the village," she announced as she closed the door. Hazel had at least expected the interior to look a bit spooky and mysterious, but it was a normal living room you could find anywhere."Welcome to my house, although it's not what you expected," she said with a glint of happiness in her eyes. She walked past Hazel and Draven, taking a seat in one of the chairs in the living room."Please sit," she gestured. Hazel just realized that she hadn't said a single word to her since she had seen her. She quickly turned to the woman and bowed slightly."Thank you for the warm welcome," she t

Third Person POVHazel woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. She stretched herself in an unnatural way before trying to stand up. She tripped on herself and fell to the ground. Only then did she see that she didn't have hands but paws instead with long, sharp claws. She got up immediately shocked. She ran to look at the mirror to confirm that her eyes weren't playing tricks on her. She looked at herself and was shocked. Her fur was just as white as it had always been, smooth and silky to touch. It had been so many years since she last saw her wolf form. She opened her teeth, checking out all of her fangs, as sharp and white as they could be, and her wolf's eyes; they were so green and bright, they almost seemed luminous, as if they let out their own light. She adored herself for a few more moments before deciding to change back to her human form. She began thinking of what trigger made her wolf want to come out, but she couldn't figure it out. She contemplated telling Draven
