Third Person POV

Hazel woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. She stretched herself in an unnatural way before trying to stand up. She tripped on herself and fell to the ground.

Only then did she see that she didn't have hands but paws instead with long, sharp claws. She got up immediately shocked. She ran to look at the mirror to confirm that her eyes weren't playing tricks on her.

She looked at herself and was shocked. Her fur was just as white as it had always been, smooth and silky to touch. It had been so many years since she last saw her wolf form.

She opened her teeth, checking out all of her fangs, as sharp and white as they could be, and her wolf's eyes; they were so green and bright, they almost seemed luminous, as if they let out their own light.

She adored herself for a few more moments before deciding to change back to her human form. She began thinking of what trigger made her wolf want to come out, but she couldn't figure it out.

She contemplated telling Draven

Third Person POV"Good day..." Hazel greeted the strangely normal woman who stood in front of her; she thought she had imagined her eyes glowing for a brief moment."Please, come in," she gestured at the both of them. Draven stepped after a few moments, and Hazel followed after. She caught a glance of the woman smiling at her; the thought made her feel uncomfortable."My name is Sara; I am the priestess of the village," she announced as she closed the door. Hazel had at least expected the interior to look a bit spooky and mysterious, but it was a normal living room you could find anywhere."Welcome to my house, although it's not what you expected," she said with a glint of happiness in her eyes. She walked past Hazel and Draven, taking a seat in one of the chairs in the living room."Please sit," she gestured. Hazel just realized that she hadn't said a single word to her since she had seen her. She quickly turned to the woman and bowed slightly."Thank you for the warm welcome," she t

Third Person POVDraven walked out of the priestess's house. He got into his car and saw Hazel sitting at the passenger seat, staring off into space. He didn't know what to say, nor did he have anything to say; all that mattered was that she would help him break his curse. He started the car engine and began driving away from the house. He remembered the last words that the witch had told him; he needed to make sure everything was alright and hoped nothing went wrong. They drove in silence till they reached the house. Hazel came down from the car and followed behind Draven as they both got into the mansion."Why didn't you say anything like this?" Hazel asked him as soon as he got into his room; she knew to expect at least this much when dealing with women."Because I'd rather not," he replied to her. He didn't feel the need to have a conversation like this when everything had already been settled."Does Adrian know about this?" She asked him; for the first time Draven thought about

Third Person POV“Excuse me?" Adrian asked. He was sure that he heard wrong. He took the invitation card from Robin's hand and read it. He read it again to make sure he wasn't seeing things."How?" He asked; the question wasn't directed to anyone in specifics; he just felt a bit overwhelmed. His uncle was getting married, and he had just found out today. He felt a bit betrayed that his uncle couldn't tell him as he was his nephew."Aren't you happy for me?" Draven asked his nephew; he could see the mixed feelings in the eyes of his nephew, the confusion and hurt, maybe even a hint of betrayal because deep down, he knew Adrian still blamed him for the death of his mother. He couldn't blame the boy for thinking that way; after all, he had been too weak to save her, but now Adrian just thinks he was trying to replace the memory of his mother, to find someone younger and possibly even replace him. There were no limits to how much an endangered man can think. Draven was aware of this, but

"She's cold, very cold," Sara said. "And what does that mean?" Draven asked; he still felt exhausted by the strain of the ritual, and he felt out of sorts, but right now he couldn't rest until he made sure Hazel was okay."It means we'll have to take her to the hospital or your mansion, anywhere, to get her treated," Sara said as she packed up a couple of things lying on her table."And what about you?" Third Person POV"No""She wouldn't go so far," Adrian said to himself. He still didn't want to believe it and refused to accept it; it felt better to believe that his uncle had manipulated her into marrying him; that felt easier to accept."Is that what you really think, Adrian?" Draven asked Adrian; his voice was calm and low, without doubt or hesitation. He finally turned around, facing Adrian; he stood taller than him, more domineering and intimidating. But Adrian stood his ground; he could let himself be intimidated every damn time he faced his uncle. Draven slowly walked past him as he spoke. "You don't believe me? That's fine," he spoke. "Come with me." As he walked further away from the dark corridor where they stood, unwillingly Adrian followed his uncle, walking behind him at a given distance."Where are we going?" He asked Draven; he waited for a moment before answering. "To hear the truth," he replied.'The truth?' Adrian thought to himself, He did want to know both their

Third Person POVHazel watched as Adrian closed the door as he left; his words rang in her mind, 'What did he mean by that?' Somehow she felt betrayed by his words. Now he was going to completely join forces with Thalia and tell them everything that had happened here. Knowing Thalia , she was going to take full advantage of it. She felt her chest tightening, her hands grew weaker as the excitement slowly faded away, and she gritted her teeth in frustration. Even more so, she didn't know why she felt the way she did, but it vexed her even more."So what now?" Alpha Draven asked her; she looked at him while he sat down, still staring into the night."I don't know really; I didn't think this far ahead, I guess," she replied. Draven chuckled, then turned back to her to face her. Adrian reached out, trying to hold on to her, but she kept taking steps back, not wanting to talk to him or come close to him at the moment. He kept trying to get her attention, but it was pointless. Maddy’s POV I couldn't believe that Zac would still push through with his plan. Last night, while we were having our passionate time, I begged him to forget about Alpha Draven and focus on building our relationship, and he agreed only to break the promise today. I didn't bother reminding him of it. I was scared for Jason. I wanted to help him, but I didn't know how to.m. Zac is an evil man, and it took me a while to realise this. I had to stop him and do something before he killed my long lost friend Jason.I had thought about different ways, but the only thing I could focus on was freeing Jason. His help would be needed in the fight. I had taken the keys to the underground cell’s gate from Zac when I hugged him earlier. There was not much security around, so I should be able to get him out of the cell in peace. I walked briskly down the hallway that led to the cell. When I got there, I opened it after looking around to make sure I wasn't being followed by a maid. Seeing no one be

Hazel’s POV After going back to my room, I took a quick bath. The maids had placed my dress at the time I returned. They brought breakfast to my room. I had no appetite. I took a few bites of the food and sent it back to the kitchen. I walked to the window. My heart was heavy. The doctor had said Draven would soon regain consciousness, but he has not. He still lay on the bed. Noah had come to check on him at various times. I couldn't wait for Draven to be back on his feet. I stared out of the window. A cold breeze rushed into the room, and I pulled my jacket closer to myself. I wanted to help the pack. I knew how ruthless Zac could be. He had attacked my friend’s pack when we were younger. I walked back to sit beside Draven, brushing some strands of hair away from his face. I stared at his handsome face. Just then, the door pushed open, and one of the maids walked in. She tried to steady her breath. "What's wrong?" I was alarmed. "There is an attack on the pack. The enemy's fo

Hazel’s POVThe room was then quiet, with every one of them staring at me. I had my gaze fixed on Sam, trying not to allow my fear to take over. What if they do not believe me? "What did you just say?" Sam asked. "I said I'm with a child. Alpha Draven's child," I said again, but this time my voice was firmer than before. I could see that the other men wanted a chance to speak. The child of an Alpha was a serious issue. One that is not to be taken lightly. "How did we believe her? She could be lying. She has not made a single straight statement since she has been standing in front of us," someone said. My eyes moved to him, and I sent him a small glare. Sam thought for a while before speaking, "You are still like a stranger to us. We do not know you. Now you are saying that you carry the child of our Alpha," he paused and continued, "But what if you are lying? What if the child is for someone else?". He asked. I understood the way he felt this was Draven's child: "At the same time

  • Claimed By Alpha Draven   Chapter 27

Hazel’s POV By the time I woke up that morning, the sun was already up in the sky. I raised my head slowly. It took a while before I remembered that I was now in a different pack. I had fallen asleep while trying to take care of Draven who suddenly passed out last night. Draven's breath was steady. His chest heaved up and down. I wondered if he had regained consciousness while I was asleep. The curtains were parted to the sides to allow fresh air into the room. I stood up and yawned. I wish he was awake. There was nothing to do in the pack where I knew no one. The physician soon stepped into the room. He walked straight to Draven without bothering to say any greetings to me. "How is he?" I asked Noah. "He should regain consciousness before the day ends," he said, barely moving her lips. I nodded my head. After spending some time with Draven checking how he was, he left. Once again, I was in the room with Draven. I sat on the stool close to the bed. I wished he would open his eyes
