The guards reported her visit to the prisoner to Ted when he asked if anything happened. It came as a surprise to him as he never thought she would visit him alone. "Why was she there?" He asked them. They glanced at each other. "We don't know. We were not able to hear their conversation," one of them explained. "Alright, go back to your posts," Ted ordered them and they left. Cage woke up the next morning and touched the bed, in search of Lara but her side of the bed was cold. He opened his eyes and glanced around. He was still in Brad's room. Standing up from the bed, he went to wash his face. It was daylight already. He had slept throughout the night. Brad woke up too and when he didn't see Lara he asked, "Where is she?"
