They went to Desi's room but couldn't find her. It was already late so where could she be? Cassandra tried to persuade her as they walked but Lara was adamant in her decision.

No one could change her mind. She was the one who went through all those years of pain and torture. They wouldn't understand what that meant to her.

"Where could she be?" Lara murmured. She was already scared and not seeing Desi in her room made her uncomfortable.

"She might be with the Kings," Cassandra said. They might have taken Desi to their room or she might have gone out for some air.

Why would she be in their room? She asked herself. Did the Kings suspect something? She nodded and turned to leave.

"Where are we going?"

"My room. There's no need anymore," she forced out a smile. Right now, she has to be cautious.

Everything she did could make the Kings lose trust in her and she needed them to help her. Hopefully, they'll be able to keep George with them for a few days.
