I quickly finished my meal and dressed up in a normal everyday wear with the help of Juliana. With that and the readiness of my mind, we made our way to the gate of the packhouse. Two guards attempted to escort me to wherever it was that I was going, but I told them off, asking them not to worry after assuring them that I could hold my own.

Thankfully, at the gate, no one thought to stop us. That was the one part that I had been afraid of. I thought that either the Alpha or the Beta or even the Gamma might have given them rules that under no circumstances should I be allowed out of the pack.

I mean, the warning was given when Iris newly came to the pack to be the Luna.

For some reason, just that thought made me sore again. I didn't know why I thought of it as a competition between the woman and I, but it felt to me like they never wanted her to leave even though she was a reluctant Luna. Yet, here I was, willing to be a voluntary Luna, but no one was stopping me from going
