“Please, don’t kill her,” As much as I wanted Heather out of the way, killing wasn’t exactly what I had in mind for her. I was forced to smile and return greetings as we passed different people until we were outside. Draven was mute, almost like he hadn’t heard me and was unaware of the people we passed on our way.

“I don’t know what ideas you have about me, Esme,” He says blankly once we were alone.

But he’d proven all the things I heard about him to be true in the last months since I have known him. Even worse.

“So what are you going to do?” I asked curiously. My wolf Mena was excited at the thought of getting rid of Heather. Draven is our mate, and seeing a woman he’d been intimate with isn’t exactly what she liked to see on the day Draven marked us. An image of them going at it in his office suddenly crossed my mind, and a low growl escaped my lips.

Draven cocked a brow, “Did you just growl at me?” he asked.
