“We have been summoned by the kingmakers to prove our bond,” he finally voiced after many minutes of pacing the lengths of his home office.

“Okay,” I say slowly “That should not be a problem Draven, I’m your mate,” I reminded him.

“It’s a stupid thing,” he shook his head and brushed his fingers through his hair “It has never been heard of and these darn kingmakers know what the implications of their accusations are,”

“We saw it coming Draven,” I sighed. I was still not in any mood to face anyone, let alone the kingmakers and council members.

“You are not going,” he said, sensing my emotions “I’ll face them alone. You need time to be on your own and fully recuperate. It’s not the right time to be dealing with their many bullshits,”

“I’ll go. It’s going to look suspicious if I am absent,” I sighed. Draven pushed his hair back and leaned his back into the wall just staring into space. If I’d not been too overwhelmed with the recent happenings and if I didn’t blame him in some sort o
