The woman looked out of the window, although he was absolutely sure that the woman's thoughts had drifted far out of her body, further away from the scene before her eyes. Unable to stand the increasingly negative atmosphere that they already created, he finally cleared his throat so that Nikki's attention was diverted from the traffic ahead towards him.
