Flora's POV
For a second, I stared at my phone. I so rarely received videos, and the image on the screen was nothing but a blur—until I clicked on it. The video started, and all I could see was Zack’s face amid a sea of nakedness. My hands trembled as my eyes widened. My Zack… with another woman? How could it be? Tears welled and then streamed, and I felt like screaming.
I so badly wanted to see who the woman was, but her face was turned away. Zack’s was unmistakable, though. The man I loved more than anything had cheated on me.
A sob broke from my chest, and then another. I cried for a while—who knew how long—and then called my best friend, Kayla, as soon as I felt I could get some words out.
She picked up on the third ring, her voice sharp with irritation. “So you finally have time to call me, huh?”
I winced. I’d been so busy over the past few weeks that I hadn’t spoken to her.
“K-Kayla...” I managed through a sob.
Her tone shifted immediately. “Flora? What’s wrong?”
“H-he”—I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself—“he cheated on me, Kayla. Zack cheated on me.” I covered my mouth, suppressing another wave of tears.
“With who?”
For a moment, Alora’s face flashed in my mind. I shook my head quickly, dismissing the thought. It couldn’t be her. She was my sister.
But Kayla's mind went to the same woman as mine. “What about Alora?” she suggested.
“I-I don’t know,” I said weakly.
Kayla sighed. “I just don’t trust her. She seems too good to be true.”
“She is good...” I really didn't want to be accused of jealousy and selfish or something like that.
“Either way, don’t cry over him, babe. He’s a scumbag. Just get him out of your life. He doesn’t deserve you.”
Her words were comforting, but they didn’t ease the ache in my chest. I inhaled deeply, trying to calm my racing mind. At the same time, I made a decision. “You’re right,” I said. “And after the werewolf ball, I’m breaking up with him and making everything clear.”
“Good. Just be careful, Flora.”
“I will be.”

The next day, Zack didn’t come home, and I didn’t bother calling him. The maids noticed my mood and asked if I was feeling unwell, but I brushed them off. However, I couldn’t abandon my responsibilities, so I focused on the task my father had assigned me: hosting the ball. Decorations, guest arrangements, food—I oversaw everything, ensuring the preparations were perfect.
In the afternoon, my phone buzzed with a call from an unknown number.
When I answered, Alora’s voice greeted me. “Sister, are you free?”
In no mood to talk to her, I replied curtly, “I don’t have time right now.”
But her next words stopped me cold. “I know Zack is cheating. I’m at the Holy Nights Club. Come here if you want the truth.”
My breath caught, and I froze. I opened my mouth to ask how she knew, but the line went dead.
Clenching my fists, I fought back the fury rising inside me. After a moment of hesitation, I made my decision, then grabbed my things and left to go to the Holy Nights Club.
It took me an hour to get there. When I walked in, the pounding music and flashing lights made me feel out of place. The place was loud, chaotic, and far from anything I’d consider welcoming. As I looked around, men stared at me with predatory eyes. Their gazes made my skin crawl, and I considered turning around and leaving.
But before I could, the bartender waved me over. “You’re Flora, right?” he asked once I’d gotten close enough.
“Yeah. How do you know me?” I asked, my eyebrows drawn together.
"Of course, you're the Alpha's princess, so I would recognize you," he said with a smile. I couldn't help but feel there was something off about him.
“She left this for you,” he continued, reaching under the counter, then handing me a room key. “VIP Room 409,” he added.
I clutched the card tightly, staring at it for a moment before heading toward the stairs. Before long, I stood outside Room 409 with my heart racing. With a deep breath, I slid the card through the reader. The door clicked open, and I stepped inside, expecting to see Alora. Instead, I saw a man—tall, dressed in a dark suit, holding a phone to his ear as if engaged in an important call. His back was to me, but even from behind, power radiated from him, an aura so strong it made my knees weak.
The door clicked closed loudly behind me, the noise echoing in the room. I flinched at the sound just as the man turned. My breath caught in my throat at the devastatingly handsome sight of him.
But his thick brows furrowed in anger as he looked at me. “You must have a lot of guts to break into my room,” he said in a low, furious tone.
His expression made my knees tremble. My lips quivered as I tried to explain that I hadn’t meant to come here, but no words came out. Fear gripped me, so palpable that I took a step back, wanting to run.
The café was quiet. The atmosphere was peaceful and soothing. Every table was adorned with small flower tubs. All of the customers appeared to be pleased with the environment.I came here because I noticed that it was a peaceful place. I just wanted to get out of the company.People's judgmental gazes were too much for me. I did not want to be responsible for Aron's punishment of more employees."Excuse me?"I heard a voice from behind. I blinked and shifted my gaze away from the window. The cafe was beside the road, so I was lost in my thoughts.I turned my head to see a boy smiling at me. He wore a brown apron over his white t-shirt, which bore the cafe's name. He was dressed in black pants and a cap. He was young and appeared to be around my age."Hello, Miss," he greeted."Hello.""What would you like to have?"I had been sitting here for the last ten minutes. But I had not placed an order yet.It made me feel embarrassed. I lowered my head and looked for the menu on the table."I
I was shocked. How could he say that? Silver water could really burn anyone.I could not believe Aron could give anyone this kind of punishment. It was ruthless!I looked at him carefully. Was he the same person who had been with me over the last few days?Despite the fact that the women tried to frame me, I felt upset for them. However, the question about Aron's mate remained in my mind. I was confused about why he was with me if he already had a mate. Did he still love her even after they separated? What about the mate bond? How could he possibly resist it?Samuel called the security guard and told them to take them out of the company. He followed them as he would have done what Aaron wanted.I stared at the door until it closed. The loud closing sound caused me to flinch.I felt a cold, chilly air touch my body. My gaze shifted to Aron again, who was also staring at the door. He seemed to be forcing himself not to tell me anything."A-Alpha..." I murmured. He heard me, but he did n
Aaron's gaze, which was on my lips, froze when he heard me. I saw them darken in the blink of an eye.His thumb, which was caressing my cheek, also stopped.I gulped when his eyes moved from my lips to my eyes. I gasped when I saw how fierce they looked. My heart trembled by the rageful gaze."A-Aron—""Who told you?" he asked, taking a long breath with an angry look."W-What?""Where did you get to know about it?" he questioned me again.I was stunned. 'How did I get to know about it? Does it mean they were right about it?' I thought.I was in disbelief. I felt my heart clench inside. I was upset that the woman was not me. He was already owned by someone else.My eyes turned blurry as tears scrambled in my eyes. I pushed his chest and rose from his lap.I turned away from him. The mere thought of him with someone else broke my heart. It was because I loved him."That is not even the question. I asked if it was true?" I asked without looking at him."First, tell me who told you."His
I was so shocked that I could not move my legs forward. What were the women saying? What did they mean by saying their Alpha had a mate?I turned my head to the women. They noticed me looking at them. They averted their gaze right away and pretended to work.I stared at them in confusion. 'Should I ask them about it?' I thought.I was about to approach them when I heard Aron's voice."What are you waiting for?"I turned my head and saw him standing outside the elevator. My gaze turned cloudy as I became so preoccupied with my thoughts that I was unable to move forward.Samuel was pressing the ground floor button to keep the elevator open so that Aron could enter. But Aron was waiting for me.I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I would have to ask Aron about it directly.I walked up to him. He got into the elevator, and I followed him behind. When the door closed, I felt his eyes on my back. I looked at our reflection on the elevator door.My eyes locked with his when he glanced a
My eyes lit up. “Am I allowed to go there?”He raised an eyebrow as if it was not supposed to be a question."Why not?" he asked.A broad smile shuffled on my lips as I looked at him lovingly. "Yes, I want to go with you."He grabbed my hand and replied, "Let's go."All the maids stared at us with a shocked look. I blushed as I noticed their expressions. I slipped my hand out of his grasp shyly. He did not mind as he walked out of the pack house, and I followed him.I was about to walk over to the black car he had just gotten into, hoping he would offer me a ride to his company. But when he got inside, a man from the gray car approached me."Miss, your car is ready."I turned my head and looked at the gray car. We returned today in that vehicle. The driver's words reminded me that Aron had given me the car. The man could be the driver Aron had assigned for me.I smiled at the man and said, "I will use it from tomorrow. You can take a leave for today."The man seemed surprised. But whe
We were on the way to the pack house. I was sitting in the front passenger seat while Aron was driving. He appeared to be in a good mood.I blushed, thinking the reason might be last night.I lowered my gaze, trying to hide my blush from him. I could feel his gaze on me from time to time. He kept glancing at me while driving.I enjoyed the view of the landscape sliding outside the car window. My head leaned back against the window frame as my thoughts started reverting to my past.'I never imagined meeting a man like Aron. He is more than perfect. I will be perfect for him,' I promised myself. My promises kept building inside me one by one so that I could live my life peacefully and respectfully with Aron, the king of Alphas. As I was deep in my thoughts, I heard Aron beside me. "Open the glove box."I gazed at him, then opened it. I noticed a bottle of water and something I was aware of.It was a pill used for birth control. I used to use them in my previous relationship. For the fir
