Flora's POV
For a second, I stared at my phone. I so rarely received videos, and the image on the screen was nothing but a blur—until I clicked on it. The video started, and all I could see was Zack’s face amid a sea of nakedness. My hands trembled as my eyes widened. My Zack… with another woman? How could it be? Tears welled and then streamed, and I felt like screaming.
I so badly wanted to see who the woman was, but her face was turned away. Zack’s was unmistakable, though. The man I loved more than anything had cheated on me.
A sob broke from my chest, and then another. I cried for a while—who knew how long—and then called my best friend, Kayla, as soon as I felt I could get some words out.
She picked up on the third ring, her voice sharp with irritation. “So you finally have time to call me, huh?”
I winced. I’d been so busy over the past few weeks that I hadn’t spoken to her.
“K-Kayla...” I managed through a sob.
Her tone shifted immediately. “Flora? What’s wrong?”
“H-he”—I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself—“he cheated on me, Kayla. Zack cheated on me.” I covered my mouth, suppressing another wave of tears.
“With who?”
For a moment, Alora’s face flashed in my mind. I shook my head quickly, dismissing the thought. It couldn’t be her. She was my sister.
But Kayla's mind went to the same woman as mine. “What about Alora?” she suggested.
“I-I don’t know,” I said weakly.
Kayla sighed. “I just don’t trust her. She seems too good to be true.”
“She is good...” I really didn't want to be accused of jealousy and selfish or something like that.
“Either way, don’t cry over him, babe. He’s a scumbag. Just get him out of your life. He doesn’t deserve you.”
Her words were comforting, but they didn’t ease the ache in my chest. I inhaled deeply, trying to calm my racing mind. At the same time, I made a decision. “You’re right,” I said. “And after the werewolf ball, I’m breaking up with him and making everything clear.”
“Good. Just be careful, Flora.”
“I will be.”

The next day, Zack didn’t come home, and I didn’t bother calling him. The maids noticed my mood and asked if I was feeling unwell, but I brushed them off. However, I couldn’t abandon my responsibilities, so I focused on the task my father had assigned me: hosting the ball. Decorations, guest arrangements, food—I oversaw everything, ensuring the preparations were perfect.
In the afternoon, my phone buzzed with a call from an unknown number.
When I answered, Alora’s voice greeted me. “Sister, are you free?”
In no mood to talk to her, I replied curtly, “I don’t have time right now.”
But her next words stopped me cold. “I know Zack is cheating. I’m at the Holy Nights Club. Come here if you want the truth.”
My breath caught, and I froze. I opened my mouth to ask how she knew, but the line went dead.
Clenching my fists, I fought back the fury rising inside me. After a moment of hesitation, I made my decision, then grabbed my things and left to go to the Holy Nights Club.
It took me an hour to get there. When I walked in, the pounding music and flashing lights made me feel out of place. The place was loud, chaotic, and far from anything I’d consider welcoming. As I looked around, men stared at me with predatory eyes. Their gazes made my skin crawl, and I considered turning around and leaving.
But before I could, the bartender waved me over. “You’re Flora, right?” he asked once I’d gotten close enough.
“Yeah. How do you know me?” I asked, my eyebrows drawn together.
"Of course, you're the Alpha's princess, so I would recognize you," he said with a smile. I couldn't help but feel there was something off about him.
“She left this for you,” he continued, reaching under the counter, then handing me a room key. “VIP Room 409,” he added.
I clutched the card tightly, staring at it for a moment before heading toward the stairs. Before long, I stood outside Room 409 with my heart racing. With a deep breath, I slid the card through the reader. The door clicked open, and I stepped inside, expecting to see Alora. Instead, I saw a man—tall, dressed in a dark suit, holding a phone to his ear as if engaged in an important call. His back was to me, but even from behind, power radiated from him, an aura so strong it made my knees weak.
The door clicked closed loudly behind me, the noise echoing in the room. I flinched at the sound just as the man turned. My breath caught in my throat at the devastatingly handsome sight of him.
But his thick brows furrowed in anger as he looked at me. “You must have a lot of guts to break into my room,” he said in a low, furious tone.
His expression made my knees tremble. My lips quivered as I tried to explain that I hadn’t meant to come here, but no words came out. Fear gripped me, so palpable that I took a step back, wanting to run.
A frown enveloped his face. A thin lip appeared between his brows. But he was silent.I gulped. "What? Are you mad that I talked about your king like that?"He blinked, looking away from me. "The person you don't know… How can you hate him?""That's why I am here. I want to know about him. Don't ask me why again because I have already told you the reason."He didn't respond to me. I was about to question him again, but a tray of food stopped me.Two waiters placed food on the table. I glanced at the different dishes."I am not hungry," I mumbled."But I asked you out for dinner," he replied.I sighed and defeated myself. We started eating dinner. My mind was not at the table."The Lycan king is someone you can meet easily. He doesn't have much time," he spoke.I lifted my gaze and looked at him. "Then why did he come here?""For business.""What business? He didn't appear in the pack company for the last two or three meetings," I snapped back.He frowned at me. "How do you know about
I was taken aback when I heard Lifaya's voice. What was she doing with Aron? What did she mean by date? Were he and Aron on a date?I recalled how Aron started behaving coldly with me when she returned. Did he want to date her again?I felt a strike on my heart. "W-Where is he?" I asked Lifaya. She let out a chuckle. It was a mockery to me. She stopped chuckling and said,"I received a call. His phone is in my hand. Don't you understand how close we are? He went to the washroom. That's why I picked it up."I took a deep breath and muttered, "Then I will call a few minutes later.""No need. We are busy. Don't try to disturb us, Slave."I was annoyed when she kept calling me a slave. "I don't want to talk to you. I just want to talk to my man. Tell him that he owes me an explanation.""Yeah, sure. As if His Majesty needs to apologize to anyone," she replied in a sarcastic way.I hung up the call. 'He may be a king, but he is also my man. I can't take this. He shouldn't be with someone e
Days passed as Aron became busy again. I tried to talk to him about the East Hallow Pack. He said he would tell me when he would plan to have a meeting with my old pack, and right now he was busy handling the Lycans. His absence was eating me inside, and I was bored in the pack house. It was an evening when I was sitting in the garden alone. My mother was too distant from me. I always heard her talking with Lifaya on the phone as if she were her daughter, not me.My phone started ringing, pulling my attention from the sky."My boyfriend"I gasped. "I didn't change the name!" I murmured in shock.I received the call and brought the phone near my ear."Hello?"The man's calm voice reached my ears. "I called you a few days ago. You didn't receive it."I remembered I was in Aron's office room that day. But I could not tell him about it. No one could know that I was with Aron until he told others."I was busy that day.""I see," he muttered. After that, there was silence from the other sid
I lowered my head, feeling tears flickering in my eyes. 'I came here and tried to start a new life. I fell in love again and wanted to become happy. But my ill fate followed me here too.' I nodded my head and looked at me. "I will help you with names." Aron's frown ceased. He stared at me for a while. The silence broke my phone call. My phone started ringing. I took out my phone and saw an unknown number saved with "My boyfriend." My eyes widened as I glanced at Aron. I felt a storm in my heart, feeling scared that he would get to know about that man. Aron narrowed his eyes and asked, "Who is calling you?" I immediately cut the call. I scolded that man's guard who saved the number with that name. I did not know why he did so. I was relieved that I was sitting across from Aron and not beside him. Otherwise he would see that name. I did not want any misunderstanding between us. "Unknown number. I don't receive calls from unknown numbers," I replied. I did not know if I was go
I was stunned. I got up from the couch and said,"75% of company shares!"I could not just believe it. My adoptive father was a good businessman. I had been with him for a long time. I always wanted to be like him, a responsible and great businessman. Then what was the cause for him to take such a decision?Aron sat on his chair, signaling me with his eyes to sit across from him.I walked toward the desk and pulled out a chair. I sat across from him. He placed the file on the desk and pushed it toward me.I grabbed the file and opened it. My eyes widened when I saw the projection of an old pack for the next six years. My eyes landed on the name of the CEO of my father's company.I lowered my head and gritted the name. "Zack?"Aron's eyes were fixed on me. "Surprised?"I lifted my gaze and looked at Aron. I shook my head. "I think I should not. Because he is getting married to Alora. So indirectly he was supposed to get everything anyway."Aron started tapping his finger on the desk. I
He was right. He helped me and saved me from that crazy woman. But I did not know why I was mad at him. Perhaps because he let another woman come between us. How could I forget about last night?"Thanks for saving my life," I murmured. The door opened, and Samuel walked into the room while holding a white box.He placed the box on the center table near the couches."Leave," Aron said to Samuel.Samuel gave him a nod and left the room immediately. As soon as the door closed, I felt a grab on my hand. Aron turned me to him. I put my hand against his chest, trying to move him away."I don't need—"He interrupted me by wrapping his arm around my waist. He pulled me close to him.My hands started to push him."Are you trying to move away?" he asked in a low voice.I ignored meeting his gaze, as I did not want to look at him. "Leave me," I said, pushing his chest. His grip around me tightened. Then he pulled me on his lap with just one move.I froze, not daring to move again. He took heavy
