LOGINFlora's POV
For a second, I stared at my phone. I so rarely received videos, and the image on the screen was nothing but a blur—until I clicked on it. The video started, and all I could see was Zack’s face amid a sea of nakedness. My hands trembled as my eyes widened. My Zack… with another woman? How could it be? Tears welled and then streamed, and I felt like screaming.
I so badly wanted to see who the woman was, but her face was turned away. Zack’s was unmistakable, though. The man I loved more than anything had cheated on me.
A sob broke from my chest, and then another. I cried for a while—who knew how long—and then called my best friend, Kayla, as soon as I felt I could get some words out.
She picked up on the third ring, her voice sharp with irritation. “So you finally have time to call me, huh?”
I winced. I’d been so busy over the past few weeks that I hadn’t spoken to her.
“K-Kayla...” I managed through a sob.
Her tone shifted immediately. “Flora? What’s wrong?”
“H-he”—I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself—“he cheated on me, Kayla. Zack cheated on me.” I covered my mouth, suppressing another wave of tears.
“With who?”
For a moment, Alora’s face flashed in my mind. I shook my head quickly, dismissing the thought. It couldn’t be her. She was my sister.
But Kayla's mind went to the same woman as mine. “What about Alora?” she suggested.
“I-I don’t know,” I said weakly.
Kayla sighed. “I just don’t trust her. She seems too good to be true.”
“She is good...” I really didn't want to be accused of jealousy and selfish or something like that.
“Either way, don’t cry over him, babe. He’s a scumbag. Just get him out of your life. He doesn’t deserve you.”
Her words were comforting, but they didn’t ease the ache in my chest. I inhaled deeply, trying to calm my racing mind. At the same time, I made a decision. “You’re right,” I said. “And after the werewolf ball, I’m breaking up with him and making everything clear.”
“Good. Just be careful, Flora.”
“I will be.”

The next day, Zack didn’t come home, and I didn’t bother calling him. The maids noticed my mood and asked if I was feeling unwell, but I brushed them off. However, I couldn’t abandon my responsibilities, so I focused on the task my father had assigned me: hosting the ball. Decorations, guest arrangements, food—I oversaw everything, ensuring the preparations were perfect.
In the afternoon, my phone buzzed with a call from an unknown number.
When I answered, Alora’s voice greeted me. “Sister, are you free?”
In no mood to talk to her, I replied curtly, “I don’t have time right now.”
But her next words stopped me cold. “I know Zack is cheating. I’m at the Holy Nights Club. Come here if you want the truth.”
My breath caught, and I froze. I opened my mouth to ask how she knew, but the line went dead.
Clenching my fists, I fought back the fury rising inside me. After a moment of hesitation, I made my decision, then grabbed my things and left to go to the Holy Nights Club.
It took me an hour to get there. When I walked in, the pounding music and flashing lights made me feel out of place. The place was loud, chaotic, and far from anything I’d consider welcoming. As I looked around, men stared at me with predatory eyes. Their gazes made my skin crawl, and I considered turning around and leaving.
But before I could, the bartender waved me over. “You’re Flora, right?” he asked once I’d gotten close enough.
“Yeah. How do you know me?” I asked, my eyebrows drawn together.
"Of course, you're the Alpha's princess, so I would recognize you," he said with a smile. I couldn't help but feel there was something off about him.
“She left this for you,” he continued, reaching under the counter, then handing me a room key. “VIP Room 409,” he added.
I clutched the card tightly, staring at it for a moment before heading toward the stairs. Before long, I stood outside Room 409 with my heart racing. With a deep breath, I slid the card through the reader. The door clicked open, and I stepped inside, expecting to see Alora. Instead, I saw a man—tall, dressed in a dark suit, holding a phone to his ear as if engaged in an important call. His back was to me, but even from behind, power radiated from him, an aura so strong it made my knees weak.
The door clicked closed loudly behind me, the noise echoing in the room. I flinched at the sound just as the man turned. My breath caught in my throat at the devastatingly handsome sight of him.
But his thick brows furrowed in anger as he looked at me. “You must have a lot of guts to break into my room,” he said in a low, furious tone.
His expression made my knees tremble. My lips quivered as I tried to explain that I hadn’t meant to come here, but no words came out. Fear gripped me, so palpable that I took a step back, wanting to run.
I was not really listening to Oliver until I caught a glimpse of his screen. I looked once, then looked again, paralyzed. What I saw in that video changed everything. My heart stopped. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The video on his phone showed Alpha William and Aaron in a conversation. But it was the bandage on William's head that really sent a chill down my spine. The video was taken after the day I hit William."H-He didn't die?" I mumbled in shock.Oliver shook his head and replied with a sigh,"I have found out everything with my sources. You were accused of killing Alpha William. In truth, he didn't die in that accident. Aaron saved him with his private physician. But he didn't let others know about it. He let the case get stuck in your head and let them think that you are a murderer."IMy mind went blank. This wasn't a fake or an edit. It was the raw, brutal truth. The video was real. I could even see Beta Joy in the frame. Then, my heart stopped. I could see the spot w
My heart smashed as if someone had hit it with a hammer. I could feel every bit of pain. My eyes blurred with tears. He broke me at the same time he made me realize my position. He was right. I could never be someone's wife. My ex-boyfriend, Zack also did the same with me. I was about to engage with him, but he chose my sister over me.Tonight, Aron did the same thing again. He decided to marry someone powerful over me who was compatible with him.Marriage...No one could even think like that with me. I was left out like a plaything. They could only think about playing with me, not giving me any name.My heart trembled, and I felt like dying. My eyes could not keep eye contact with him anymore."N-Never?" I whispered under my breath. He heard me clearly even though my voice came out in a hushed tone.He averted his gaze from me. "Never," he replied with the high tone of coldness. He walked forward, leaving me there alone, broken. I stared at his broad back. The aura radiating from him
Hearing him, the ground underneath my feet shook. When did this man start to hate me this much?I recalled the days in my old pack when he had protected me many times from the world. But tonight, he was behaving like this! It was beyond the pale!"A-Aaron..."My mumbling voice reached his ear, but he did not stop moving forward. As if my life was going away from me, I rushed toward him and fell on my knees near his feet.Tears streamed out of my eyes. I could not describe to him how I was feeling. He was the only person, the only hope for me to stay alive. I had no one... My father abandoned me, my mother did not want to acknowledge me, and I had no one to love except him.His steps halted by my action. He turned his head to the side and lowered his gaze to look at me.I dropped my head, crying in silence."Why did you do that? You said you don't love her anymore. Then why?" I sobbed, not daring to look up to meet his eyes.I was afraid he would break my heart again. Maybe... Just may
My world just collapsed. It felt like the sky just fell on me. My body trembled. I took steps backwards. I felt it was a déjà vu.I had felt it before. It was the night of the ball party that came to my mind.Just like this, my father told everyone that Zack and my sister, Alora, were going to get engaged. I was broken at that time too. But what I was feeling right now was nothing compared to that.Tears rolled down my cheeks, flowing like a flood as I stormed out of the bar. My eyes turned blurry. My body hit a few people due to my stepping backwards. I turned my head and noticed a few women."I am sorry," I murmured immediately.I blinked, clearing my vision. I saw disgust in their eyes as they observed me from head to toe."How come poor and cheap people enter this luxury party?"They judged my clothes and my appearance but not my tears and the pain in my face.I looked away from them and looked at me. Indeed, I was in cheap clothes. It was a long, thin dress that covered my body a
Porter opened the back door of the car and got in. I turned my head and saw Oliver, the Lycan King.Last time when I went to meet him, I was not aware of his identity. But now I was fully aware. I could not deny it. I slightly bowed to him and greeted him."Your Majesty."The car started, heading to my destiny, where no one could take me except the man next to me."How are you, Flora?" he asked, his voice deep and serious.I lowered my head. I was already in fear of losing Aron. Just sitting next to Oliver, I recalled how Aron got mad at me. The morning after our beautiful night turned into ashes just because of one misunderstanding."Fine," I murmured.I did not want to engage with Oliver more. I did not want to make Aron angrier at me. I would try to explain everything to him again; I believed after seeing me his anger would be eased."Do you know what is going on in the party?" he asked, leaning his back against the seat.I glanced outside the car window. I noticed how fast the car
"Can you take me to the Monstril street?"I tried to talk to my driver, glancing at my gray car.The driver shook his head and replied, "Alpha ordered me not to let you get into any of the cars. He said you have no right to use any."I was stunned. I remembered how fierce he looked last night before leaving the study room."Where are the officials?" I asked."They have been gone since today is a busy day," the driver replied.I felt helpless. 'He thinks I am with King Oliver. But it's not true. I will explain to him again. I know he will trust me after his anger lessens, I thought.I walked down the streets to find a cab. No one was ready to go there. They said it was at the end of the city.I paused in the middle of the road, realizing that I did not have cash with me. I only had Aron's card, which I did not take with me.'How would I pay?'I recalled that I tried to find a job but Aron stopped me from applying for any. He said I did not need to do any job since he was providing me e
