Zeke was so stunned that his jaw nearly dropped to the floor.

She was Kalus Mike's mysterious ex-wife, it turned out.

Zeke couldn't deny that she was prettier than his sister.

If Lydia is not Kalus's childhood sweetheart, perhaps she can't match this beautiful woman.

"Mr. Mike, even if she were your ex-wife, that's no reason for me to apologize to her!"

Zeke would not back down. "Make her apologize to me, then I'll pretend like nothing happened."

"If I'd arrived a little later, your bodyguards would have already taken action against her."

Kalus's face turned cold. "Even if nothing had happened, that does not mean that you're off the hook. Apologize to her!"

Zeke was terrified, yet he still did not show it on the outside.

I was flushed since I had been drinking.

The only words I heard were "apologize" and "ex-wife." I told myself, 'Is this son of a bitch telling me to apologize?! I'm generous enough not to spin his head like a top!'

"That's too much effort. I'd rather just take him to the police station or yank him out and thrash him about."

Ryan Hoffman gave a sly smile to his handsome face. He led two rows of bodyguards over, dressed like a mafia boss.

"What do you have to beat me up for?! We have laws in the country!" On seeing Ryan, Zeke was so afraid that his voice trembled.

Ryan hooked his finger. The lady who was intimidated into drinking before nervously ducked behind Ryan.

Firstly, these girls simply sell drinks or perform on stage. They don't have to serve others. You already violated my rules by forcing her to drink with you. Secondly, drugs are not allowed in my club. I hate it most when others take drugs on my premises. I'll beat up anyone who disobeys my rules! You should thank Ms. Kol heartily.". If she hadn't interrupted you from drugging my employees, you would not have left my club alive.

These words left Kalus stunned. So that's what had transpired!

"Haha! Bravo, bro!" I narrowed my eyes into tiny crescents and gave Ryan a thumbs-up.

"Thanks for the attaboy, Dera." Ryan winked at me.

Kalus felt an inexplicable tightening in his chest as he watched us.

"What do you think of this setup, Kalus?" Ryan asked.

"It's possible," Kalus replied brusquely.

"I'm sorry! Mr. Mike, I didn't realize that she's your ex-wife. I'll apologize to her. Sorry, Ms. Kol…"

Zeke gritted his teeth. He didn't want to apologize to me.

Kalus still considered it not enough, but he discovered that I had gone missing.

"Is your ex-wife present? She's over there." Ryan whistled and puckered his lips in the direction of the stage.

Kalus narrowed his eyes, and his heart trembled.

Under the strobe lights, I danced provocatively on the dance floor. My smile was riveting, and the harsh lights were pale next to me.

I was completely under the influence.

I had no idea what I was doing. I just felt like I was flying, like a bird set free.

Then I fell backwards.

Someone shrieked, but I landed in a firm and warm embrace.

I hardly noticed Kalus's angry face when I slurred, "I want to puke."

Kalus dragged me into the men's restroom.

I threw up in the bathroom until I almost passed out. No matter how beautiful I was, I was ugly-looking after throwing up.

Kalus scowled at me coldly from the door at first. But when he saw that I was really hurt, he came over and slapped my back.

I hobbled to the sink after throwing up to clean and gargle my mouth.

"Ugh… I feel sick…"

"You were provoking it. Why did you get so drunk?" Kalus moved out of the way, frowning. "Because… I'm sad…"

I vomited again and woke up the next day."Dera, I remember you being able to handle your drinks. How did you get so drunk last night?" Dean immediately handed me a glass of water to gargle with and got some hangover medicine."I've not touched a drop of alcohol for the past three years… So naturally, I'd be drunk after downing so much in one go last night."I was aware that Kalus did not like women with the scent of alcohol on them, so I stopped drinking during the three years that I was married to him."I know you're drunk, but those who are sober will think that you have morning sickness." Dean teased."Ha… If I were really pregnant with Kalus's child, what would you guys do?" I had a hint of sadness in my eyes."What else can we do? We'll help you raise the kid, of course! No matter what, that kid is innocent."Although Dean hated Kalus with his whole heart, he was a just person. This was probably his professional morality as a prosecutor."Don't worry. Kalus, did you hear what happened?" Gregory asked with a frown, as he comforted his wife."I heard. The truth was that Kalus did not find any pleasure in gaining his freedom to pursue his own love. "Don't reveal any details of what transpired today. If a third party knows about what we spoke in my meeting with Mr. Mike today, then I will consider it your breach of contract and sue you legally."The waitress swallowed hard, signed the contract, and swore repeatedly not to reveal anything before leaving the office."Aren't Kalus Mike so heartless, I mean, supposedly?
