Chapter 54

Jazz POV

It was a Sunday morning, a good day to relax or go on a yacht cruise but a text message from my step mom darkened my mood.

She had rudely invited me to a family dinner. For the past three months since I came back to California, they never called me or paid a visit.

In anger, I replied to her text with the cruellest words that formed in my head.

“I don't dine with witches, you can eat with your damn family. I'm allergic to gold diggers!," I added a fuck emoji.

After a few minutes, she started to call me. My step mom was the least person I liked. She was too scheming and cunny. Everything I ever had was taken away from me and she made me live in Janet's shadow. And her actions were the reason why I ended up this way, not that I regret having my kids but regret meeting Asphalt the way I did.

I sighed and put my phone on silent but the caller changed to my father. He too had become estranged from me. I even felt sorry for him because he was suffering all the fuss of my step mom
