Jazz POV

I strode into Asphalt's company for the meeting that was about the new cosmetic product that would be launched soon.

Arianna didn't accompany me this time due to some business she had to attend. I had made up my mind to ignore Asphalt at all costs. Soon, our contract would be terminated and I would end everything that concerned him.

I was ready to move on and let go of everything that Asphalt had done to me. I was learning to kill the feelings I had for him. He made it clear to me that he would always choose Janet over me and I would be nothing but an unfortunate substitute.

Immediately I walked into the meeting room, they started talking about the product and how it would be launched. They approximate sales it would make if it was centered on the right target.

As the project manager was talking, I didn't fail to notice the way Asphalt gaze lingered on me. But I ignored it completely. If I turned to him, he would think that I had changed or thought of continuing whatever he

Today we decided to roll our hair into curls and mask our face. A spa routine we did once in a while."Oh my God, Jazz. What the fuck is...who the hell did this?!," she exclaimed in disbelief while I closed my children's ears from hearing her cuss words."What is wrong?," I asked her, getting up from the couch to see what she was looking at on her phone."Did anything happen between you and Asphalt on Thursday?. Because you are all over the news as a cheat or a slut," Arianna explained and I looked at her phone hissing in frustration. The headline was stated as: Jazz seduces Mr. Levine, CEO of L cosmetics company in regards to his marriage status.Hell, this was all because of Asphalt. The picture posted was the one where he had held my arm preventing me from leaving. But how the hell did people

Jazz POVEmil ran from the kitchen to answer the house phone as it rang in the living room. I followed him behind and waited for him to answer since he was eager about it. While his sister stood beside him."Hello," his mini voice chimed through the phone. "Hello dear, can you put your mother on the line? I wish to speak with her," a feminine voice spoke through the other end. "And who are you?How should I address you to my mother?," Emil said but got no response. Instead there were muffled sounds and screeches."Hello, Mrs whoever you are, I will not let you speak to my mom if you don't know how to reply to my question. I will not let it go!!!!....," Emil didn't hesitate to yell when the caller refused to talk.I rushed over and took the phone from him to avoid causing any problem. Who knows the caller might be an important person."Hello, please do not mind my son. May I know who is on the line?," I asked, waiting for a response."Oh, Jasmine, it is good to hear your voice. Janet POV I rolled my eyes as Asphalt walked into my hospital ward. The doctor finished attending to me and I had lost the baby. A part of me wanted to laugh out loud and mock Asphalt but I had to keep it all in. When he sat down beside my bed, I started to act like I was lost in thoughts."Our baby is gone," I quietly said, holding my deflated belly."I'm sorry about this," Asphalt bent his head, feeling guilty as I had wanted him to be. This was trash, I wanted to get done with this plan and leave him empty without nothing. He reached for my hand and squeezed it tight before bringing it to his lips. "This is all my fault. If I had not invited her, if I had not considered her children then this wouldn't have happened. I'm so sorry Janet," he held my hand tight in a manner that showed his regret. This was what I wanted, for him to forget about Jazz and her children and dwell in nothing but sorrow and regret."It's not your fault, I wanted them to come too. None of us ever expected

Janet POVIt has been weeks since I lost my pregnancy and Asphalt has been so nice. Last week he bought the latest Chanel bag without me requesting it. He must be feeling extremely guilty for what happened to his baby.Little did he know that I dreaded that thing in the womb. I was glad that I killed it because I couldn't bear caring for the child of another man who wasn't Joe.Most of all, he banned everyone in the house from saying Jazz's name. It was more like her very being was a disease to him.I even overheard sometime when he was on a call, that Jazz's contract won't be renewed with his company and everything that concerned her would be rounded up. From what I see, he now hates her to the core just like it was planned. Now the only thing left was to take his wealth from him. I can't believe that a man like him could be so gullible to the fullest all because of a damn love that was extremely fake.I should thank my charms for this great fortune it brought me. Now I could do what

A month after...Jazz's POVI couldn't contain my laugh after listening to Jacob's joke. He came to spend his weekend at our place and the kids liked it."Least I forget, um...so there is something I have been planning to tell. I hope it settles well with you. I was wondering if you would like to find your mom?," he asked and I looked at him, pausing my laughter.I never thought about my mom until now. There was a time I was eager to find her and know the reason why she had left me.But with time, I forgot about her and moved on. "I don't know, it has been a long time since I thought about her. Besides, it would be impossible to find her. I tried it once but the search failed. In general, I lost interest," I clearly stated having mixed feelings about what I had said."C'mon, Jasmine I want to meet your mom too. It would be nice if she explained herself. Who knows, she might be regretting why she abandoned you and doesn't have a means of reaching you," Arianna urged me as she fed Jere

Arianna POVJeremy's hands were me exploring every inch and part of my skin. I entangled my hand in his hair as his lips suckled my breasts while fingers stroked my cunt.I love the way he made me feel feminine like I was one of his designs that he treasured so much. I let out a satisfying moan as he hit that very spot that sent me to cloud nine.Just as the fun was getting to a higher level, my phone dinged. I ignored it at first but when it beeped the fourth time, Jeremy slipped away. He gave me the signal to answer it, suggesting it would be something important.I know he was displeased but he was a sweet and considerate person. I groaned and reached out for my phone which was laying pretty on the table close to Jeremy's bed.A gasp escaped my mouth as I read the news that had escalated about Asphalt being attacked by unknown hitmen."What is it?," Jeremy asked worried from the expression I had put on."It is Asphalt. He was attacked by unknown hitmen", I said and his face turned c

I went into my closet and changed into something sexy enough to get his attention. On getting to the front door, Margaret decided to be a thorn on my skin. "You are supposed to be resting. Your husband will not be glad to find out that you left the house in your condition. He strictly warned me to have a good rest before he gets back," she said with a straight face that got on my nerves."I just want to meet up with my friends. It would be nice if I got some fresh air. I am tired of being cooped up in my room everyday. I am sure Asphalt will not mind me stepping out for a moment," I I flashed her a fake smile.

Janet's POV"I am sorry for everything I said and did to you. Please don't go," she remained cooled with a little life in her as I could feel the beat of her heart as I hugged her tight. She had saved in the cruelest manner and it was all my fault for not listening to her when necessary.By the time we arrived at the hospital, I had contacted some doctors that I knew who attended her immediately."Please hold Jasmine," I said as she was rolled into the emergency unit. Her breath was now slow yet she reached out her hand to hold my face."I am sorry that I had to do this to you but I just want you to know that I have always loved you," she managed to say and my world paused. I fell to the ground as the medical team continued their journey into the ward. I had stupidly neglected her all this while when she was the only one that truly loved me. Mrs Margaret was right this whole time and now that she was at the brick of death was the only time I realized my foolishness. All this time my

I scoffed from the pain I felt and wished she had just agreed to love me. But that would be hard for her. I didn't want to put any pressure on her and somehow it was my fault for pursuing her even when I knew her heart was with another man."I must have been delusional to think that we would wake up if I kept trying. I thought that with time you would come to love me but that was a lie to myself," I muttered stating the ugly truth. I could see the guilt and concern she had for me on her face and I felt sorry that I had been a burden to her.The tears that brimmed in my eyes went back on its own because it would be so cruel of me to cry In Front of her.I was deeply in love with her but my love was unrequited. "I know you are still in love with Asphalt and I am sorry for making it difficult for you to decide. But I want you to know that I will support you till the very end. I know that you people have been annoyed with my young master but he really isn't who you guys think he is. I can vouch that he is an excellent child who has locked himself inside his own shell. And I am afraid that Janet has taken advantage of his weakness," she said as she sat down opposite us."We will do anything to entertain you Mrs. Margaret. Arianna POV"This looks nice. Is this for me?" I asked as I hugged Jeremy from behind. We were currently in his boutique and the dresses he had designed were so eye-catching. "Nope, if you want a dress I will design one for you. Just tell me what you want and I will have it designed immediately," he pecked my left cheek and I blushed like a sixteen year old girl."You will have to do all the designing by yourself. I don't have a particular style to suggest but I am sure you will be able to design a dress that will suit me perfectly. For now, I want to admire every dress here," I playfully said with a smile. He nodded and let me wander around like a kid while he kept his eyes on all the time. "Wow, how did you do this?" I pointed at a dress that had a thousand tiny crystal diamonds on it. "That dress was customized for a friend but she failed to meet my expectations. I didn't give it to her and decided to keep it," he said."Do you intend to sell it?," I asked him, keeping the dress

Janet POVI and Joe arrived at my parents house to deliver the good news. While I was on a vacation with Asphalt, all his assets were signed over to me. The thought of it was so joyous. He had handed his property over out of pity. To me Asphalt was a goner and I could kill him off now that I have acquired all his assets."Mommy, daddy, I have good news," I hugged them as I ran out of the car that I and Joe had come in."What good news my dear? You are looking so pretty this morning. Did the sun shimmer it's rays and you?" My mom praised me without knowing the source of my happiness."Something more than the sun happened to me. As you know I just got back from my vacation with Asphalt. Guess what?" I wanted to add a little suspense to make me curious. "C'mon my darling you know that we are too old to start playing that guessing game," my mom pouted like a kid and I laughed agreeing to tell her Immediately."Mom, Dad, I finally have Asphalt's properties in my name!" Asphalt POVI packed the last things we needed for the vacation we were embarking on. Janet's health still bothered me a lot. She was showing any sign of weakness or fever.According to the doctor, Jazz's condition worsened due to the shock she got after her fall. He centered mostly on her slight chance of conceiving a child again. And if she did it would be a fifty-fifty chance of her and the child surviving. In order to keep her from falling into depression, I did whatever she wanted. She was bright these days and I was glad that she was trying all she could to stay happy and healthy."I think everything is ready. We can leave now honey," she said after putting her last luggage in the trunk of the car."Alright, let us hit the road. I don't want us arriving late at the airport today," I muttered, taking caution of my safety. I could still remember the thugs that had attacked me the last time I got back late from work. The attack was something that I sensed was planned because the t
