CTB:LMR CHAPTER 3

"Luis son!"  Luis' mother's voice, the couple became silent and both turned pale when the mother knocked on the door.

They were not ready but Luis immediately lay down on the bed and hugged Lia.

Lia was surprised but the man hugged her tighter, the door opened just in time.

"Look at the sweetness of the newlyweds.  But why are you sleeping here?" Luis mother confused

" Ahh mom,Lia wants to stay here so we sleep here." He explained " Why are you here mom, dad? " 

He pinched his wife to say hi to his mother. Lia was still pale and didn't know what to do.

She raises her hand and tries to speak but her voice shutter " ha–hi auntie I mean mom!" 

" Silly. We're here to visit you two. I'm with your dad Lia sweetie" Lusi mother sweetly said

" Fix yourself, we will wait downstairs" she said and leave the two.

Luis turned to her and said " Remember not to say anything or else you will regret it!"  She didn't answer and Luis' face turned angry " You hear me? You won't tell them that I'm hurting you understand?" she didn't look at him " UNDERSTAND?! " He said again, forcing her.

" U–understand" she said 

" Good, " he said and left.

For the 10th time she cries, she doesn't know how to approach her father. 

She wanted to cry in front of her dad and tell him everything but she didn't want to disappoint her father.  She knew her father needed Luis' help for the company.

She went to the shower and cleaned herself, still crying. After taking a shower she applied makeup. She doesn't want her father to see her eyebags and tired face.

After 15 minutes Luis knocked on the door and she opened it. 

"Faster they are waiting." He said

She follows him and Luis holds her hand, she hesitates if she holds his hand tho. 

"Behave and do whatever I said," he whispered and she silently nodded her head.

When they were in front of their parents.  She immediately saw her father, she immediately ran with joy. She really missed her dad.

Her dad hugs her tight and she can't hold her tears. She cried, whispering "I miss you dad". 

" I miss you too honey," her dad said, hugging her. She really misses her dad's tight and comfortable hugs.

"We just came here to see you two." missis Louisiana Ruiz, Luis mother.

"How are you two here?" Mister Ruiz, father of Luis said.

" We're good, take a seat everyone." Luis said.

He's annoyed by his parents' presence but he hides it. 

" We will leave immediately, we still have a meeting." Her father said. 

She's sad, she doesn't want her dad to leave early. She hugged her father tightly but Luis pulled him away from his father.

Her tears fell. Luis immediately hugged her to hide her. His mother smiled at the scene because she thought his son was being sweet. Missis Ruiz touched Lia's hair and held her husband's shoulder as they were about to leave. 

" Bye sir, bye mom, dad." He said.

When their family left, he pushed Lia. "What drama is that Lia?" 

She bowed her head and cried. She was like a poor oppressed child.

He bent down and touched Lia's face."Don’t cry because you want these, your father plans these just for money. To save his dearest company."

"You are both selfish.You just want money." He said

She didn't like what Luis said. " Don't judge my father, you don't know us!" She said,

He laughed at her. " Really? What are you then? How can I not judge you when it's obvious you're after money."

" You are a big jinx in my life. I hate you and your father" he said.

" What makes you think that I like you too?" She said confidently.

Luis holds her chin tightly, she's hurt. " Don't be an arrogant woman, you're just a weak woman in my eyes." He said

She pushed him and held her aching chin. Maybe he's right, she's just a weak woman. Once again she cried.

Luis stood up and kicked her " Get out of here you jinx!" He said.

She ran to her room and cried silently. How long will she be like this? " I'm tired."

Her phone rang. It's her friends calling her. She fixed herself and answered the video call.

" Hello " she said

Her friends excitedly said

She smiles, she misses them too. It's Eunice and Hanna.

Hanna asked worriedly.

"Yeah, I'm fine guys. I just miss you two" she smile hiding

Eunice .

" Yes I'm not hiding something. I'm good. How are you guys? She asks, trying to change the topic.

< We're good, how are you and Luis? You didn't update us this past few weeks> Hanna said.

She stopped for a moment. She can't tell her friends what's the real situation. 

"Ahmm we're good." She said, nodding her head. A few minutes later she heard someone's step and she raised her head and saw Luis approaching her. 

" Hi hon, are you busy? Oh who's that your friends? Hi guys! " Luis smiled at the camera, topping her shoulder. She hesitated to remove Luis' hands on her shoulder, her friends screamed in excitement. 

" Hello Luis,by the way we're going to turn off this call. Bye, enjoy couple! " Hanna and Eunice end the call and she starts feeling uncomfortable. Luis is still holding her shoulder.

" Cut your communication with your friends." She's shocked to Luis words

" What? Why? I can't do that." She said, confused, " What is your problem Luis? They are my friends. I can't afford to lose them." She's hopeless.

" Don't complain about what I told you. You are in my house. If you disobey me I will not help your dad, he will suffer too. " He said. 

" But Luis" 

" No buts Lia. " He said

" I hate you" she said 

Luis laughed " I hate you more Lia. " He said 

" You have no heart, you are a demon. A monster, MONSTER!" She shouted

Luis looked at her angrily and slapped her hard. She was hurt by Luis 'slap but she was even more hurt by the fact that Luis' behavior would get worse.

He grabs her hair and she screams in pain " Don't blame me. Blame yourself and your father, you made me a monster. You ruined my life, my happiness." He said

" No, I didn't ruin your life. I don't like this, I didn't plan this. "

" Liar. I wish I hadn't just married you." He said

She was hurt by what she heard. She burst into tears while holding the painful face. When will Luis accept that I'm also a victim of this marriage? Why is he like this to me?
