CHAPTER 19

Adrian didn't panic, his face expressionless. "Send more men to protect the borders. Nothing must go wrong. Make sure there are no casualties for women and children."

He said, thinning out his lips in a cruel smirk.

Dialing Alan's number, Adrian spoke into the receiver.

"Alan. Get me the names and locations of everyone your damn technology suspects is against this pack."

Surprisingly, Alan chuckled. "Now you believe me, huh?" His tone was mocking, but Adrian turned a blind eye. Alan was not standing in front of him, or he would have gotten a punch in the guts.

At that moment, Adrian began walking towards his veranda which overlooked the garden as he made to leave the house through a secret back door.

He had to get to the borders and fight off rogues and oppositions, even if he knew well that his soldiers were well-trained and could handle it in his absence.
