Rosalie said it resolutely, leaving no room for negotiation.

Christopher nodded. “Alright. Thanks for your trust in me, Rose. I’ll give you a clear answer in time to come, I promise.”

The two of them were so engrossed in conversation that they didn’t notice Sebastian hiding around the corner. Shock and disbelief registered in his eyes as his countenance turned grimmer by the second.

His fingers gripped the metal pieces on the decorative wall he was hiding behind, and he tugged them hard.

Blood started seeping from his palm.
