Arianna's POV

The cool night air hit my skin as I stepped outside, the hum of anticipation from the pack surrounding me. Torches lit the edges of the gathering, casting flickering shadows on the eager faces of my pack members.

It doesn't feel right to call them my pack members, just yet.

My heart thudded heavily in my chest, each beat louder than the last.

I glanced back at Sergio, his towering figure imposing yet steady, and Mika, who offered me an encouraging nod. I swallowed hard. Their insistence on the training suit finally made sense, and I hated how unprepared I felt.

The air was thick with tension, every whisper from the crowd making my senses sharper. My wolf stirred within me, restless and ready, but even that didn’t calm my nerves.

Sergio stepped closer, his voice low and calm. “You see it now, don’t you?”

I turned to him, my eyes wide. “This is why you told me to signal you if I needed help?”

He nodded, his gaze unwavering. “Tonight, you prove yourself not jus

Chapter 33 Sergio's POV The morning had started uneventfully. The pack’s preparations for the Luna ceremony were in full swing, and every member seemed to be moving with purpose. Yet, something gnawed at me—a sense of unease I couldn’t shake. I had spent most of the day overseeing security and ensuring the elders had everything they needed for tonight. But as the sun began its slow descent, I realized I hadn’t seen Alaric all day. Alaric wasn’t the type to disappear without reason, especially on a day like this. He thrived in the spotlight, always finding ways to involve himself in the pack’s affairs. I had dismissed it at first, assuming he was somewhere causing his usual mischief, but when one of the guards approached me with a hesitant expression, I knew something was off. “Alpha,” the guard said, bowing slightly. “I thought you should know—Alaric was seen heading toward Luna's chambers earlier.” I froze, my jaw tightening. “When?” “About an hour ago,” the guard replie

Arianna’s POV My mouth fell open as I stared at Mia, the revelation knocking the breath out of me. “Y-you’re Sergio’s cousin?” I stammered, my eyes darting between the two of them. Mia stood there with a smirk plastered on her face, looking far too pleased with herself. Sergio, on the other hand, was barely holding back a grin. “Oh, come on, Arianna,” Mia teased, folding her arms. “Did you think I was just some random wolf who wandered in and decided to stick around?” I blinked, trying to process the information. “I mean...yes?” Sergio chuckled, his deep voice sending a strange warmth through me. “Mia’s been part of my life since we were pups. She’s practically a sister to me.” “But how?” I demanded, my voice rising. “When did she even get here? She wasn’t around when I first came to the pack.” Mia shrugged, clearly enjoying my confusion. “I arrived not long ago. Sergio called me back from an assignment when things started heating up with the rogues. I figured it was tim

ARIANNA'S P.O.V “Why would you call for him? Do you need something?” Jealousy was laced in Sergio’s tone and I rubbed centre of my head concealing the little smile that tugged at the corner of my lips threatening to morph into a grin. “No, not really. I just wanted to ask him some questions.” I said and though there was an unsatisfied look in his eyes, he masked it off immediately. “Well, it looks like his hands are full at the momeñt. Hold on, is Elena and Alaric the ‘romance’ you were talking about?” He questioned and I nodded, turning to see Alaric and Elena walking away. “Hold on, I really need to talk to Alaric. I'll be right back.” I went after them but the time I got out of the door, they were nowhere to be found. I walked through the garden, the moonlight casting silver streaks over the neatly trimmed hedges. That’s when I heard them—soft whispers, low and intimate. Can't they stop for even a minute? It's not up to 10 minutes I broke them apart and here they are munch

Pulling you away like that… it wasn’t my place.” Alaric gave a low chuckle, the sound both amused and exasperated. “You’re always full of surprises, Z—” He paused, correcting himself. “Arianna.” I bit the inside of my cheek, unsure how to respond. His use of that other name still unsettled me, though I couldn’t say why. But before I could dwell on it, his next words cut through my thoughts. “Elena’s my mate,” he said bluntly. The words hung in the air between us, their weight heavier than I expected. I blinked, struggling to process what he’d just said. “Your mate?” I repeated, my tone betraying my disbelief. He nodded, his gaze steady but unreadable. “Yes. That’s why you found us toge

ANNIKA'S POV The faint glow of candlelight flickered across the room, casting long shadows on the walls as I lay beneath Logan. His hands moved across my skin with ease, but his mind wasn’t here. I could see it in the way his eyes glazed over, in the half-hearted way he whispered my name. It was routine, mechanical, like he was going through the motions because it was expected of him. I bit back the frustration bubbling within me, determined to pull him back to the present. I wrapped my arms around his neck and tilted his chin toward me. “Logan,” I whispered, my voice soft but commanding. He hummed, his focus flickering for a brief moment before slipping away again. “Look at me,” I urged, tightening my grip. His gaze finally met mine, but before I could revel in the connection, he murmured, “Arianna…” The world seemed to tilt on its axis. I froze, every muscle in my body locking in place. Had I misheard him? My heart thundered in my chest as I stared up at him, searching f

It would be crystal clear.” I stated and he scoffed unbuttoning the top button of his shirt. “Annika, you're my Luna. You should be satisfied with that.” “I'm not satisfied with that. You're my Alpha, you owe me your attention, I see the way you drool at my younger cousin simply because she looks like Arianna. At this rate, it won't be long before you turn to a pedophile.” “Don't ever say that again.” He stated firmly before walking out on me shutting the door like he was transferring the anger. He always left early now. No goodbye, no kiss, not even a note. My chest tightened as I glanced toward the door he’d walked out of, likely heading was calling for. “Arianna…” he’d groaned, his eyes half-closed, lost in the haze of his desires. Chapter 39 Annika’s POV With every step, branches scratched my cloak, and the damp earth sucked at my boots. The sun had dipped below the horizon, leaving the woods bathed in shadows. A sliver of moonlight cut through the canopy above, guiding me deeper into rogue territory. I clutched the note the alchemist had sent, her cryptic words etched in shaky handwriting. “Follow the wolf’s fang, and you’ll find me.” My fingers traced the drawing of a jagged stone she’d mentioned, the one now visible just ahead. The boulder rose like a lone sentinel, its shape resembling a broken canine tooth. The air grew heavier the closer I got, thick with the stench of herbs and smoke. My pulse quickened, but I forced myself forward, refusing to let fear slow me down. “Come out,” I called, my voice steady despite the tightness in my throat. “I’m here.” A figure emerged from the shadows, draped in tattered robes that trailed the ground. The alchemist’s face was obscured by a hood, but her luminou

Chapter 40 Arianna’s POV “Do you like roses, Marcia?” I asked as we knelt together in the garden. “They’re beautiful, Luna,” Marcia said softly, her hands delicately brushing the petals of a freshly bloomed flower. “But they’re also strong. They endure the harshest winds and still bloom.” I smiled, enjoying the peaceful moment. “You sound like someone who appreciates resilience.” She looked at me, her hazel eyes searching mine. “Resilience is...necessary.” There was a wistfulness in her tone, something unspoken lingering just beneath the surface. I reached out, touching her arm gently. “You seem to understand that all too well.” Marcia offered a small, almost bashful smile before returning her focus to the roses. “You’re very kind, Luna.” “Call me Arianna,” I said, grinning. “I think we’ve spent enough time together to drop the formalities, don’t you?” Marcia hesitated, her hands stilling for a moment. Then she nodded. “Thank you...Arianna.” Later that evening, as Ser

She was no longer the hesitant Luna of the past but a leader who had fully embraced her role. Clad in a fitted black training suit that accentuated her toned physique, her golden-brown hair was tied into a thick braid that cascaded down her back, strands sticking to her sweat-dampened skin as she moved with fluid precision."Again!" she called out, her voice firm yet encouraging. "I want strength in every move! No hesitations!"The Gammas followed her command without question, executing a series of swift, lethal movements as they sparred in pairs. He had been aiming for Sergio—his massive frame crashing into my mate with the force of a hurricane. The sound of bones snapping echoed in my ears, and a cold rage settled deep inside me. Not now.The beast’s golden eyes flickered, his breath coming in short, labored pants. He was still alive, still trying to move. ARINNA “Sergio,” I rasped, my voice a broken whisper, the name barely making it past my lips. He turned sharply, his dark eyes locking onto mine, immediately scanning me for injuries I think as I stood from the floor. “Baby?” I stopped short, my pulse drumming in my ears. I needed to say it, but the words felt like glass in my throat, sharp and impossible to swallow. I swallowed hard. “It’s Annika.” His brows drew together, his body tensing like a bowstring being pulled tight. “What about Annika?” His voice was rough, wary, as if he already knew but refused to believe it. I forced the words out before they could strangle me. “Silas has her. He brought her for us, I'm sure you can use her as bait. Sergio didn’t move. Didn’t speak. For a heartbeat, he was stone, silent and unreadable. Then, like a dam breaking, the realization slammed into him, and his entire body snapped taut. “What?” The word was a blade, sharp and deadly. I nodded, my breath coming fast. “He caught her. And

ARIANNA "We’re ready." The elder finally announced, his voice steady but grim as he turned to face me and I gulped. My heart was beating fast, really fast at this stage. Nothing can go wrong, I can't afford it. Dear goddess, if you're listening, please make this work. He motioned for the guards standing by the entrance. Two of them stepped forward, their heavy boots thudding against the cold stone floor. Their faces were set, but I could see the doubt lurking in their eyes. They had watched Sergio slip further and further away. They had seen me breaking apart with every breath he failed to take. And now, they were seeing my hope—the last shred of it—held in the elders calloused hands and whatever that potion is that he was holding. "Carefully." He instructed with a scrunched up face as they bent over him. The wound was still fresh yet it seemed like it was decaying and I thanked the moon goddess at least for the fact that he slipped into unconsciousness because the pai

ARIANNA I turned to Silas, my voice steady despite the tension coiling in my chest as my mind went back to the fact Sergio hadn't woken up yet. "You brought her here. You hide her. Somewhere no one will find her. Chain her up, make sure she can’t escape." Silas narrowed his eyes, nodding and then began scratching his head like he was shy of something. "Alright I'll do so." I turned to Mia for some back up but she just threw her hands up and leaned in to whisper. "He's thrilled and a little shy. To them, if someone ever gives a task, which means the person traits you. You could never understand their rules." She shrugged and I nodded in understanding. "What if she decides to be stubborn and thrash out or fight me? Can I hit her?" I almost bursted out in laughter but just let out a sharp breath. "Make sure she doesn’t get the chance. Just do it anyway you can before anyone sees her. We don’t need unnecessary attention." He nodded once and dragged Annika away into the, her muffle

ARIANNA. "Hello, ladies." We heard a voice call as we were running towards the kitchen and we halted, turning to see Silas. Ahh, Silas! That reminds me, I really wanted to talk to him. "Silas right?" I called stretching my hands out for a handshake and he took it gracefully, leaning forward to kiss it and I stared at Mia with a confused smile. "Formal greeting. Uncle Zed trained all of them, they all do it." That was true, from Sergio to Alaric and now Silas, they all did it. I might need to have a little backstory on uncle Zed but absolutely not now that my Brian is in jumbles. "Yeah, Silas. Mia, how are you doing?" She flipped her hair and held out her hands and he chuckled before taking it and planting a soft peck. "I have something that might interest the both of you." Mia giggled almost immediately grabbing my hand. "Sure, show us." I was confused, really confused on what would possibly interest me apart from the herbs at this point and he just motioned for us to

ARIANNA. He had slipped in and out of consciousness twice already and it wasn't even getting any funnier. The pack elders all stood roundabout him, chattering in low tones yet no productive effort had been made. They had actually tried to stop the blood from flowing out which was better but he was still far from being healthy and that's exactly what I wanted for him, I wanted him to be healthy. "So all your years of experience, none of you had seen this kind of wound?" I questioned and they shook their head I negativity and I moved to slam my fist into the wall but instead slammed it on Alaric's palm. He had our his hands just there in time and I swallowed. "Sergio will recover and I'm not ready to answer as any question as to why there are scars on your first." He stated and I sighed taking a deep breath as I tried to control myself. Deep inside of me, I was loosing my mind. I was loosing my fucking mind. "Some of the elders are still on their way though so rest assured

You never told me that you killed your mother and that now you'd kill your uncle top?" He sounded displeased but almost confused like he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do. "Say no fucking word." Logan instructed and I gagged for Uncle Zed's sake. "That's wolfsbane. It's not going to heal, the only reason why I'm still keeping you alive is the fact that I want you to see me claim your pack right from under your nose. Claim my daughter and her mother."
