Arianna's POV The cool night air hit my skin as I stepped outside, the hum of anticipation from the pack surrounding me. Torches lit the edges of the gathering, casting flickering shadows on the eager faces of my pack members. It doesn't feel right to call them my pack members, just yet. My heart thudded heavily in my chest, each beat louder than the last. I glanced back at Sergio, his towering figure imposing yet steady, and Mika, who offered me an encouraging nod. I swallowed hard. Their insistence on the training suit finally made sense, and I hated how unprepared I felt. The air was thick with tension, every whisper from the crowd making my senses sharper. My wolf stirred within me, restless and ready, but even that didn’t calm my nerves. Sergio stepped closer, his voice low and calm. “You see it now, don’t you?” I turned to him, my eyes wide. “This is why you told me to signal you if I needed help?” He nodded, his gaze unwavering. “Tonight, you prove yourself not jus
Chapter 33 Sergio's POV The morning had started uneventfully. The pack’s preparations for the Luna ceremony were in full swing, and every member seemed to be moving with purpose. Yet, something gnawed at me—a sense of unease I couldn’t shake. I had spent most of the day overseeing security and ensuring the elders had everything they needed for tonight. But as the sun began its slow descent, I realized I hadn’t seen Alaric all day. Alaric wasn’t the type to disappear without reason, especially on a day like this. He thrived in the spotlight, always finding ways to involve himself in the pack’s affairs. I had dismissed it at first, assuming he was somewhere causing his usual mischief, but when one of the guards approached me with a hesitant expression, I knew something was off. “Alpha,” the guard said, bowing slightly. “I thought you should know—Alaric was seen heading toward Luna's chambers earlier.” I froze, my jaw tightening. “When?” “About an hour ago,” the guard replie
SERGIO "From what I've gathered so far, he's garnering help from some of the neighbouring packs. Since the Alpha hurdle didn't turn out well, he isn't getting much help." Dante expressed and I nodded. I thought as much. "Keep tabs on it, I'll decide what to do about them soon enough." I said and placed my hands on my head while reclining on my seat. "Sure I will but I do have a question, Alpha." Dante stated and I raised a brow in a questioning manner indicating that he could go on with he wanted to say. "The war from the Night Shades, do you know any reason why they would start a war with us? The truce has held up together for so long to be severed for no reason. It's almost like something spiked them." Dante stated and if I even said that I hadn't thought about it, then I was lying. I was still trying to figure out why they would start a war but every dot I tried to connect was just falling apart. "I don't know why but I'll find out." I assured and I saw his jaw tighte

Chapter 29 ARIANNA The knock on the door felt louder than it should have and I just sighed while staring at the door. After everything today, it was starting to feel like my door had become the center of everyone’s universe. Like why can they all not just keep to themselves? I would really stab someone to death if anyone tells me they're knocking because they want to try and check on me. Because their knocks are driving me crazy here! I opened it with a huff, expecting something urgent, but instead, there was a young woman standing there in a maid’s uniform. She had dark hair pulled into a neat bun and sharp eyes that seemed to take in everything about me in a single glance. “Good evening, Luna.” She stated with a quick bow, though her tone wasn’t as formal as her words. “Who are you?” I blinked whilst staring at her and she just shot me a wide smile like we were best of friends. “I’m Mia,” She answered, straightening her back as she dropped a bag onto the floor. “
ARIANNA “Why does it feel like you're mocking me though?” I questioned when I caught a smirk with a reluctant expression on her face as she arose from the bow. “Honestly, I'm not. This gown is perfect, we both know that. I told you so, right? But I just can't get my eyes off the training suit, it's so ethereal.” She pouted, shaking her head in plea but I was adamant. “Mia, that's your name, is it?” She nodded and i spinned a full 360 to face her directly. “We're already past the training suit phase. I'm not wearing that, this is already so good, let's just stick with it.” She heaved a sigh like she was reminding herself that I won't budge then held up the training suit. “I know you won't wear it to the ceremony but just try it on.” She persuaded. “I'm not! Why would i?” I shook my head vehemently. “Consider it my welcome gift as your new maid. I get to be the only one that sees you in it.” “Mia—” “You're not going to say no, are you?” She stared at me with puppy eyes I didn't
