I heard footsteps which but I didn’t turn to see who it is. From the way the hairs on the back of my neck stood and a shiver rolled down my spine, I figured out who it was.

He confirmed it by speaking.

“I didn’t think you would make it.” Atlas’s voice was cool, calm. A complete contrast to the turmoil that was going through me. But it is nothing to be surprised about. We have always been this way.

He does shit that makes me lose grasp of myself and reality and he just stands there looking calm as ever. Like everything is perfectly alright in his world.

“Not that you invited me.” I replied, lucky that the shakiness I was feeling inside didn’t show in my voice. “If you’d spoken to me, you would have known if I was coming or not.”

He breathed out and nodded slowly.

“I guess, you’re right. I followed the coward’s way out, I didn’t want you to reject me directly.” He tried a small smile. “This way, it wouldn’t’t have hurt much if you didn’t show up.”

Well at least she gave a real effort to keep him at arms length. I really really hope Antonio didn't see them suck face.
