Scarlett groaned as she struggled to open her heavy eyelids. Her head was banging with headache, her body was hot and she felt weak all over. She knew that she was lying on her back but it felt like that bed was in a slant position. The room felt cold, like she was in a morgue. Did she have another episode of migraine and lost consciousness?

Scarlett tried to bring up her hand to her head but she couldn't move her hand; she was bound with…? Her eyes popped open and she tried to sit up but she couldn't move her head either. What the hell was going on with her? She struggled with the chain in her hands but they refused to budge. There was also a chain across her forehead that was holding her head to the bed. Her problem is that she’s too self-centred. Always thinking it’s about her. But maybe it’s because she doesn’t get out too much & there’s a general lack of exposure to the world around her, which further contributes to her naivety.
